I watch all of Joeys videos and enjoy them....However there is always 1 thumbs down Ive noticed...Has got to be jealousy.... The man does a terrific job on all his videos Thank you Joey
Good information to know. My mother brought us here as youngsters and it was long back then (70s & 80s). I will have to let her know how long it is now. She can't walk it anymore.
My family and I have always guessed. I can’t say I’m surprised, but that’s just INSANELY huge! Man that’s a hike! Whenever I’m on the boardwalk I always wonder how people make that long trek to the ocean. Thanks Joey…. Mystery solved! Looking forward to another vacation in the creat. Stay safe!
I always wonder why they don’t put more walkways from the boardwalk to the water. It’s such a trek to get out there! I didn’t even go to the beach the last two times I went to Wildwood. It’s easier to go to the hotel pool!
Anyone can suggest which hotel to stay that near the water and the stuff fun to do for kids, plan to go thre in few months with my 2years old and with grandma
Whats up with YT?, I have my subscription notifications on, yet I see there are 4 new WWVA videos I did not know about.....gotta go back and binge watch them to get caught up🏖🏝🛥
Hey Joey. I am 'confirming' your findings. We were on our annual family vaca to the Crest last week and stayed at El Coronado. I would get up early and go for a run on the beach to watch the sunrise. After my run, I would use my Garmin watch (which I use to track my runs) to measure the distance from the water line to the end of the ramp at Syracuse Ave. The distance varied between 0.19mi to 0.21mi during the week. (That's 1000'-1110'). Looking at satellite imagery on Google, it appears the beaches near the Convention Center are almost 50% larger than the beaches in the Crest. Therefore, 1000' x 140% = 1400'. So, I think your 1400' distance is correct.
Ambassador to the Wildwoods Joey C. During the 1960's we stayed at the first hotel off the boardwalk at 20th Street by where Hasseles ice cream is. ( back then they only had a hot dog stand). Water came past the boardwalk at high tide. Fast forward to the 80's and it took me 15 mintues to walk my 4 year old to ocean. Then he had to go to the bathroom. Took over halve a hour to walk back to hotel & back to ocean. He went up to his kness and said water was too cold. So we walked 15 minutes back to motel and swam in their pool all week.
I didn't know Kentucky even had a beach like that ! Is that the same place that has the Golden Gate Bridge ? How long did it take em to build all the sand dunes ? Do they also do the country jamboree there ? That's not at all like the beach with all the naked people on it .
It is a long walk! There are times when we go to Wildwood and only go to the beach one day out of the week because it is so far to walk! And It is hard on my mother who is in her 80s! But we still love going there anyways!
Why don’t they remove some of the jetty’s at the Cape May inlet to change the direction of the current? As much as I love the Wildwoods, the length of the the beach is becoming a real pain in the butt to drag through the sand with all our beach items.
See ya soon I kinda really didn't need to know how long cause now when I am walking it that's all I'll be thinking about lol o well it's worth it 🏖️🐬🙏👍❤️
Continued due to fat fingers. Joey do they still have a tractor pulling a few some kinda of cars on beach to ocean. They had them back in the 80's in North Wildwood. They would pick up people then drive parrallel to the boardwalk for awhile then drive out to close to ocean. Was not fun carrying beach umbrella chairs blankets baby bag quarter mile thru red out sand.
Some Wildwood old timer once told me that the reason all that sand accumulates on that beach is due to that big Cape May Canal jetty they built many years ago at the end of 2-mile beach.
0.263 Miles +- my wife and I will be walking on July 27th for a week. Actually well be in the Crest so maybe a little over half that distance. Can't wait!
So similar to how time is relative to the observer, a quarter of a mile ACTUALLY is closer to about 10 miles when you are dragging a cart, loaded cooler, 6 beach chairs, 2 umbrellas, a tent, 8 beach bags filled with crap, my 75 yo mother and 4 kids in 90 degree heat. Just saying….
I just left this morning and just got home from my week vacation I'm sad, I love it there would love to live there year round
I grew up in north wildwood during the 70's & the beaches are still the Best & Yes indeed, still getting bigger. Another Great video,Thanks Joey !

What fantastic drone footage
Great video as always
Thank you 🙏
In the early 60 s at magnolia ave the beach was only 300' to the water& yes in a storm the water would be under the boardwalk & on to the street!

Know what you mean, I can't walk it any more, but I remember the days.
So appreciative of this channel so much!
Thank you where you're actually doing the show I go there every year now I can tell everybody is a quarter of a mile thank you again
Thanks Joey! Would love to see what the North Wildwood beaches from 2nd Ave. to 26th Ave. look like now.
Great info.My place is at Andrews and Pacific so I'm about a half mile away.
I also live by the Jersey shore. Nice job on making these videos.

at 6:12, are those solar panels on top of the convention center?
Told us in the Army that adults take 30" steps. As I got over 65 steps definitely shortened but the 30" rule works out great for younger people.
I hope you cover the North Wildwood beaches also.
Thanks, Joey! We stay at Ocean Towers, and yes, it’s a long walk to the ocean. 😁
Anyone can suggest which hotel to stay that near the water and the stuff fun to do for kids, plan to go thre in few months with my 2years old and with grandma
Awsome video Joey thanks for keeping me formed
The North Wildwood beach around 7th and JFK was huge like that in the 70s! I remember it seemed like ti took forever walk to the water.

if they were to do that then they would have a problem in the Cape May Harbor with too much sand.
Just wanted to comment on the Wildwood face masks and they are awesome ; I have the white one!
aww!! Thank you!!! I'm so glad you love them!
Great Video!!!

to a point, that's correct
It's only 4 Football Fields??
Pack light!!
What are the UAS rules in Wildwood?
This explains it well enough

I am going to the beach on Wednesday or the 21st!!!!!!
It just seems like it’s a mile long when you’re walking out there!😩
nice
Hapiest place on EARTH !
Yo I’m on 21st been looking for ya

Nice video but your math is off
1320ft is a 1/4 mile so your 70+ feet over a quarter mile
You said .2436 miles
Lol. 1/4. My butt lol ok how about feels like distance like they do the weather lol
This is why the boardwalk must be moved. That’s a lot of valuable real estate being wasted
Until the sea comes back
with the ever changing flex in the sand/beach, I wouldn't work for us
Zzzzzzz
