    Is it better to study abroad in the fall or spring semester in Sweden? I plan on studying at Lund University and I would like to travel to Lapland for the Northern Lights sometime during my study abroad. I also hope to make some friends while abroad. My current university is on the quarter system so I’d miss only one quarter if I go in the fall versus two quarters if I go in the spring.

    i want to study in sweden, in stockholm specifically, and i’ve done some research but i’m still rather confused about the accommodation!! as an international student, do they ensure you accommodation in dorms or something or do you have to find accommodation by yourself?

    • @FishSlappee
      @FishSlappee  4 года назад +14

      This depends on the university/school. Some universities have dorms or student housing and others don't. In any case, if I were you, I'd ask your school about this and see what they recommend. Hopefully you can get student housing! Otherwise, I've made a video on looking for accommodation in Sweden as well... shameless plug ~ Good luck! :D

    I'm looking to study abroad in Sweden in 2025! Thanks a ton for the video and its great insights. I am starting to learn Swedish now and hoping I'll have enough time to reach a decent level. Will Swedes default to English when they realise I am not native? How good does your Swedish have to be for them to only talk Swedish to you.

    • @Marcusianery
      @Marcusianery 10 месяцев назад

      I had an American girl in my masters degree class that said she had a bit of a trouble learning Swedish because everyone spoke English to her to be nice and friendly! But if you tell em you want to learn Swedish, if they start talking in English! They will probably understand and start talking in Swedish! :)

      Erasmus is the study exchange program between universities, mainly (only?) in Europe. And I've never been to Lund, but friends tell me it's a great city for students. Thanks to the author of the channel for this fascinating video! It is interesting to see how people live in other countries! It is very important to know foreign languages on such trips. I would like to recommend to all travelers a practical guide to learning foreign languages by Yuriy Ivantsiv " Polyglot Notes. Practical tips for learning foreign languages". This book contains a lot
    of useful tips on how to learn a foreign language for tourists, students, entrepreneurs and anyone who needs a foreign language in life. There are a lot of good tips on how to solve problems with the language from beginner to advanced level of language learning. It turns out that the traveler only needs to know a few dialogues and you can easily travel around the world! You don't have to spend a lot of time to fully learn a foreign language, you just need to learn what you can use when you travel. I wish everyone exciting travels!
