    I wonder if any of the dynamics in Sweden have changed now that we are in 2020. Such as job market demand changing, requisites at the migrationsverket or if outfit number is still appropriate :-)

    • @PoisonelleMisty4311
      @PoisonelleMisty4311 5 месяцев назад

      Regarding requisites at the Migrationsverket (Swedish Migration Agency), it is advisable to check their official website for the most up-to-date information on work permits, residence permits, and any changes in requirements.
      As for the personal identity number, it is still an important identification document in Sweden. It is used for various administrative purposes, such as opening a bank account and accessing healthcare services. However, if you are a non-resident or foreign worker, you may need to obtain a coordination number or temporary ID number until you receive a personal number.
      To get accurate and current information on the job market, immigration regulations, and specific requirements, it is advisable to consult official government websites, reach out to recruitment agencies, or seek advice from a migration lawyer or consultant specializing in Swedish immigration.

    Hey dude nice video! Very informative and descriptive, but I have one minor and tedious question; is it possible to apply for jobs before moving to Sweden? Because I'm on a limited budget and will not be able to afford to live in Sweden as a visitor for more than one month. Also I'm from the UK, so I'm wondering how Brexit will make my situation?

    • @FishSlappee
      @FishSlappee  3 года назад +1

      You can definitely apply for work online before showing up here. In terms of new regulations because of Brexit, I honestly don't know I'm afraid. Google is your friend! And good luck! ^^

    • @PoisonelleMisty4311
      @PoisonelleMisty4311 5 месяцев назад

      Hey, thank you for watching the video and for your question! Yes, it is definitely possible to apply for jobs in Sweden before moving there. Many companies in Sweden are open to hiring candidates from abroad and conducting interviews remotely.
      Before Brexit, as a UK citizen, you had the freedom to live and work in Sweden without needing a visa. However, after Brexit, things have changed. As of January 1, 2021, the rules for UK citizens wanting to work in Sweden have changed, and you will need to apply for a work permit.
      To apply for a work permit in Sweden, you will need a confirmed job offer from a Swedish employer. They must demonstrate that they were not able to fill the position with someone already in the EU before offering it to you. It's important to note that it may take several months to process a work permit application, so it's a good idea to start the process as early as possible.
      Brexit has introduced some changes and additional requirements, but it is still possible to work in Sweden as a UK citizen. The Swedish Migration Agency has detailed information about the new regulations and the application process, so I recommend checking their website for the most up-to-date information.
      I hope this answers your question! Good luck with your job search and potential move to Sweden!

    Ive been wanting to move here from the Balkans for a while, but I kind of want to skip the basement dwelling that people from this area tend to do over there. ITs kind of odd I don't have a uni degree but I have years of experience in corporate areas, management etc etc etc with some major global players. Im really curious what the actual path would be since.... for the most part I kind of want to move like north for the weather :D

      It's great that you have a desire to move to Sweden and pursue opportunities there. While having a university degree can be beneficial, it is not always a strict requirement for finding employment, especially in the IT and corporate sectors where relevant experience holds value.
      In Sweden, the focus is often on skills, qualifications, and experience rather than just formal education. Having years of experience in corporate areas and management with major global players can be advantageous in your job search.
      To enhance your chances of finding work in Sweden, consider the following steps:
      1. Research the job market: Look into the IT and corporate sectors in Sweden to understand the demand, required skills, and potential employers. Networking and connecting with professionals in your field can provide valuable insights and job leads.
      2. Polish your resume: Highlight your relevant experience, skills, and achievements in your resume. Emphasize any international exposure or cross-cultural competencies you possess. Make sure to tailor your resume for each job application.
      3. Learn Swedish: While English proficiency might be sufficient for some positions, learning Swedish will significantly enhance your opportunities. Consider enrolling in language courses or utilizing various language-learning resources to improve your skills.
      4. Network: Use professional networking platforms, attend industry events in Sweden (or online), and connect with professionals in your sector. Building relationships and connections can lead to job opportunities and help you understand the local job market better.
      5. Explore job search platforms: Check out Swedish job search websites, online recruitment portals, and professional networking platforms to find job openings that suit your experience and skills. You can also reach out directly to companies of interest.
      6. Consider relocation options: If you are specifically interested in moving North for the weather, explore job opportunities in cities like Stockholm, Gothenburg, or Umeå, which are located further north in Sweden.
      Remember that the job search process might take time and effort. Be patient, persistent, and open to different opportunities. Seek support from local job centers or organizations that assist immigrants in finding work, as they can provide guidance and resources tailored to your specific situation.
      Good luck with your plans to move to Sweden and your job search!

    “So how do I get a job in Sweden?”
    “That’s the neat part! You don’t!”

    I’m so confused. How does a job know you even exist to say you have a invitation to work for them? 🤔

      Maybe apply to a job? But I get it. It sounds pretty hard to find a job from another country when it is already hard on the spot.

    Hello? Anyone still there? Can I work in Sweden if I have PR from one of the EU countries?
