see, this was more that blueish purple than a mauve to me. everything i've had cosmetic wise that called it mauve was dusty pinky purple, so who knows

you're so amazing with nails, a true professional...I just wanted to let ya know, I use the chrome powder with the tacky topcoat. as long as I wipe off the tacky surface, it works brilliantly :)

+Nail Career Education I've been able to use wipe off top coat as well, I just use regular rubbing alcohol with the China Glaze Gelaze topcoat. Works great for me!

Oh also I'm considering getting acrylics for the very first time but I'm wondering; will acrylics ruin your nails? Should I get gels instead since it's my first time? I don't have particularly thin nails but they do peel if I try to grow them out.
+Maryam Asfari do not get acrylics!!!! My nails were sooo thick and healthy and now as soon as it grows from my nail bed, it bends so I have to cut any growth 😭 I would go with gel for sure!
Ist depends on where you get you acrylics done I would say. Susie's nails don't seem very damaged
It depends on two things, where you get your nails done, and how you remove the nails. So I'd be careful on who you go to and how you take them off
Suzie, I am addicted to the NEW Chrome Powders. I have natural nails & I can not find any salon around where I live that does it . SO I just watch every You Tube channel that shows a video of them. Yours is my Favorite!!! Beautiful Color!!!!

This video was so entertaining and fun. Your nails and hands are so beautiful and I can watch you do every color. Its fascinating to me and magical because I very rarrely do my nails and then its just clear polish. The man talking was also so cute when he commented in how shiny the nails were.
Will you try to do Holograpich nails? I loved chrome until I saw that! Just ordered some powder so I can do it at home. Do you have to use a non wipe top coat? I am sure we don't have it here in Norway an even searching online in general showed very little results. I have seen people do it ontop of sticky layer tho recommended no wipe top coat:/

You do not have to use a no wipe top coat. I use regular gel top coat. I use a dry lint free cloth to remove the tacky layer. I've also read that you can use rubbing alcohol to wipe the tacky layer off before applying the chrome or holo powders.

periwinkle is a darker bluish colour
It is, OPI even say so on their website
Then OPI is wrong. Mauve is more of a pink with brownish gray undertones.

If I could come in and have u do my nails like u do urs. I'm a Cosmo school boy from back in the 90's but nothing aside from a nail buffer and file have seen my nails since, but thanks to ur videos with Grant, I only wish I could afford a trip from Minnesota to visit your salon in Canada.

I've watched "Fix Short Bitten Nails with Acrylic" and this Tutorial and I am OBSESSED!!!!!💜 I just had to subscribe!! I know I'm not a professional nail artist or anything but you seem like you know exactly what you're doing from the two video I've watched of yours. I had a kind of bad experience getting acrylics... It was my first time getting acrylics so I was pretty open minded to what ever happened. I later found out the person doing my nails was a student. It's a much longer story, but you're so detailed in your work and you explain what you are doing so well! I do bite my nails a little (not terribly) and my nails are already thin and break, chip, and crack easily but I found some of the tips in a couple other videos of yours are helping my nails grow stronger. I wish you could do my nails!!! I've been wanting to get acrylics again but I a little scared of someone doing them completely wrong based on what I say. I really wish you could do my nails for the rest of my life😂
Hi Jillian, Acrylics can definitely help nail biters break the habit. If you decide to try Acrylic again, please do a search for the best Nail Tech in your area. Not all Techs are created equal. The Techs Experience, Skill and Care makes a HUGE difference. Get references from people who you've seen that have beautiful nails and are really happy with their tech 😀

You could do a compilation where you show just one nail at a time and each with a different combination of polish/powder. Like you said in the end. Sometimes it's such a suprise how the combinations turn out!
