Understanding the sexual practices in the gay community might be key to understanding what happened. As a Pharm.D and gay man, I suspect that Wong’s death was accidental. Likely, GHB was slipped in a drink they offered him with the intent of having some ‘harmless’ fun with him when he was out of it. For many gay men, having your way with a str8 guy is a gay guys dream come true. However, he was accidentally given too much. I should note, I doubt GHB was tested for. If it was, due to its pharmacokinetic attributes it could have been undetectable post mortem. GHB was and is a very popular recreational drug in the gay community. I suspect once they calmed down and their panicked state of mind subsided, they came up with a plan to make it look like an intruder killed Wong. I think all three helped cover up the accidental death. The scene was staged as one would expect from three gay guys. That is, neatly, clean, and tastefully done fabulously just like like a Broadway play.

He had to have been drugged first as now resistance. Also he was probably dead when the stabbing was made so no blood spurt.

That was pretty much my theory too. Just to add to it, it's possible that they THOUGHT the GHB had accidentally killed Wone but, in actuality, he may have been still alive when they decided to "cover up" the accident and fake an intruder. That would explain why the Medical Examiner proclaimed that it was the knife that killed him. It would also explain why the cuts were so small, they may have been hesitant to actually stab him and almost testing to see if he would respond. The 2 questions I would have about this theory though are - from my understanding GHB is taken orally, so unless it can be injected intramuscularly then it doesn't explain the needle pricks in Robert's neck area. Secondly, I am unsure, but I thought GHB was detectable post-mortem. Nevertheless, I think this theory explains a lot. It reminds me of the Stephen Port case here in the UK (otherwise known as the Grinder Killer). He was a gay man who would spike his dates with GHB and, when they died, he would just leave them out in the streets. He covered up his crimes not by faking stabbings but by manipulating the police in other ways, using fake s*****e notes left on the bodies and things. Just that alone was enough to fool the local police for a good while and nobody was tested for GHB either, so it is definitely plausible that something similar happened to Robert

Was also thinking something along those lines. All the puncture wounds are weird though.

They could have made it a lot more believable by not leaving semen in Wone's anus. I mean...I'm no lawyer but I don't understand how they got off given that fact.

Robert's body was also positioned on the bed in a manner similar to a cartoon photo from The New Yorker, found in Dylan Ward's room. Ward changed his last name to Thomas, got married a few years ago & is believed to be a pilates instructor in the Miami area.

Disagree completely with the judge's opinion. I see no reasonable doubt here, morally or legally speaking.

It’s horrific . This case stuck with me for some time , because it’s outrageous that nobody in the house got done for it . They are covering for each other .
Like the stuart Lubbock case involving Micheal Barrymore in the uk

@59:50 man that judge got it SO wrong. A horrific stabbing, staged body, no blood, three dudes all showered in white robes…. It’s REASONABLE and LOGICAL to say they tampered with the crime scene. Unbelievable.

Fantastic case. I never understood why people found it so interesting and though I've listened to a couple of podcasts about it, the furthest they ever went was that one of the men did it but never examined the actual crime scene beyond the lack of a break in. So hearing all this detail makes it so fascinating. I can't believe I made the stupid mistake of starting an unfinished series! I'm on tenterhooks for the next episode.

I just read Judge Leibovitz' acquittal order. An excellent primer for how rule of law is supposed to work in our country. I'm guessing not all such documents are so incisive, eloquent, and comprehensive.

If he was paralyzed would he even be able to scream or low groan?

Depending on the amount of Medication used. Some paralytics that last only 3-5 minutes if they didn’t give him enough it would wear off a lot quicker

I’ve heard this case, covered in longer podcast with less Pertinent information. I haven’t sent part two yet, but what were the toxicology results? Was the shower drain never checked or tested for blood or DNA evidence? Did the medical Examiner evidence that he could’ve been stabbed after he was deceased?

    • @karenraba4709

Toxicology question answered ☺️ Drugged, sexually assaulted, accidental death, stabbed naked in the shower postmortem for staging. I hope he gets justice.

Why is there no edit button? 😆 Drugged… or somehow asphyxiated without any bruising occurring

There's enough to strongly support that one of the three committed this crime (Dylan) and the other two helped cover up. They should've been held accountable.
As for the knife, if it's the only object missing, then perhaps it was used to assault the victim as well as to murder him.
In future episodes, can you perhaps tell if the three men had their hands examined and photographed for signs of bruises from wielding a knife? Though, if it was used only to stab an unconscious victim, would there be cuts or bruising?

No review of their cellphones? Why not charge one with murder to put pressure on the others? The easiest person to charge was the guy with prints on the knife. Low hanging fruit. Were these guys connected?

This murder seems to well planned to cover the other 3

Hey guys, have y'all done a deep dive into the Grant Solomon case yet? I cannot come up with a plausible scenario that lines up with the reported facts. The Dad sounds like a really gross human being but that doesn't mean he killed anyone ... or does it? It's just a really hard case to figure out. Was this an accident or a homicide? I am stumped. Like any good whodunit, it's easy to fall down the rathole of conspiracy. However, are we blinded to the simplest explanation that it really was just an accident by how shitty of a person the Dad was? If anyone can put this puzzle together in a way that makes sense it's you two.
