Completely agree and after the first blind wallbang as well. Most people have gotten wallbanged before, but I think in this game moreso than in almost every other, a good player is pretty much indisinguishable from a cheater. Especially when they are lucky (like in this clip).
Its rough because on the one hand, Hunt is full of glitches and exploits and there are definitely a non-negligible amount of cheaters in the game. It also doesn't do a great job of teaching you how accurate the sound of your movements can be, or how viable wallbangs are, so to someone who hasn't realized wallbanging is a reliable tactic it can absolutely seem like hacks. Ever since watching you and neenoh and hornet though, ive started pulling off some kills that im sure the other team would assume were cheats, including educated-guess wallbang headshots. I once called someone a cheater for consistently wallbanging me while i was crouchwalking, and they (luckily for me) very patiently explained that crouchwalking is easily audible before blasting me to smithereens. It was humbling.
You can hear yourself crouch walking no? Hunt is def a game thats all about sound. The more quickly you can hear some movement the more preferable all your engages are going to be
Players like you show me, that some of those "cheater"-plays are in fact legally possible. So I am always a bit reserved calling cheats, when I die to a, let's call it a trick-shot. If I think someone is cheating, then I spectate first. There will always be a better player out there.
I actually encountered a cheater last night playing with a friend. We even went back through our perspectives after we died to check. My buddy shot him once with an uppercut, and I shot him 3 times with dual pax, all in a building at a range of 10 meters or so, and THEN I rushed and hit him with a combat axe. All hit markers, all blood splatter. He never went down and killed us both. Whole fight was maybe 8 seconds and had full view of him the whole time, he never healed.
I would 100% think you're cheating, and 999/1000 times I would be right. Once I got the out of game kill screen and saw your like 50M+ total bounty I would probably not think you were cheating though. There are not many people with 7000 hours of experience playing this game, so the odds of coming up against someone like that are pretty low.
I noticed in this game that cheaters are very blatant. If it's a "he might be cheating" then 95/100 they either got lucky, they focused incredibly hard on sound/visual clues or they're just better than you in some aspect. The more I play Hunt and the more I watch content, the more I just see there isn't much need to cheat if you just learn the details of the game. For example, hearing which type of gun is fired from 1,000m away can be learned, so you can use that information to win the match. Next to no other game has that ability.

I play on console where people camp more than most or play passive. You get good at countering campers by wall banging and it feels like you’re a pro. Then you miss all your shots at the axe man charging you from the shadows.
The sussy one for me is 4:25. He knows there are two approaches to him crouching on that crate, but he only looks at one of them. When he turns to throw a frag, its like he sees the guy on the ramp and switches back to his shotgun then jumps to bring him into LOS.
Really only one of those shots that was good enough that I'd of been thinking POSSIBLY cheater. Which was that random head shot through the wall that was mostly luck I'd say. Overall just good play. They were sprinting everywhere. Easy to hear foot steps.

last day of traitor's moon event we found for the very first time 2 actual cheaters, wallhacks as spectating they were sitting in a corner of a house entire match and headshot all server by never peaking once just aiming at the same wall, not even realizing when they couldn't pen. what's worse is that they abused streamers names like failspawner and neenoh. envy is a very ugly beast

Kills located by sound is just another level many casual players like will never archive, so it's hard to believe some can actually play like this. I also saw a guy in quiplay like shredding everyone. Hard to belive but he might just played by sound and had very good aim. Spectate him a while. His Steam Profil said "go ahead, report me for cheating"
I see why they call you a cheater but here’s the thing. They only see the crazy rare shot you land either on their own death screen or your videos. What they don’t see is the hundreds of spent bullets and missed shots trying to land those clips. You try enough times and eventually you’ll hit crazy shots.
I think the part where they called you a cheater, you accidentally cut out at the end when you placed it in the beginning. Took me a minute to realize what happened - for anyone else watching, if you want to know what happened at the end when it gets cut, go check out the beginning piece. Either way, GGs, these were some great fights.
As an avid user of the rival I think I almost never trade... Maybe 1/10 engagements I will trade. out of the 400 hours I have in hunt and a good 1/4 of those hours using the rival I definitely think it's easily one of the best guns in the game, with almost 0 draw backs.
In my experience cheaters are very bad at the game, standing looking into walls or dying to AI after getting 4 kills. We did meet one just a few days ago, he was absolutely terrible. He HS us while we were behind cover inside the boss building, standing against a wall just wall banging. One shot no springs in the wall or anything. As soon as he killed my friend my friend had just barely managed to rez me the guy runs in without checking and I shotgun him to the face. He was god awful but kept getting god-tier wall bangs without even trying or spamming, just one shot and we were dead. I'd never accuse someone IG though, I'd have to spec them and so far I know I've only met two IG that I can 100% say they were cheating.

So hes good at aiming and movment... but i honestly think there is some kind of sound software they use to be able to pinpoint locations like they do and it wont come up in a video because its in the audio. I play with an Arctic pro wireless headset with game dac, i have any of the surround sound settings for windows turned off and with this game i can only tell north, south, east or west and not even elevation. Ive been gaming for decades now so im no noob. The in game sound is just not that accurate ive had teammates running 60 feet away from me that sounds like its right next to me and then had someone crouch walking through mud right next to me that never made a sound.
As a Australian I wish that a lot of the players on Oceanic and SEA servers were just good players like this but if you spend enough time there you find out pretty quickly the amount of actual VPN using Chinese script kiddies that run around, with a low pop as it is I just have to take long breaks from the game ( months +) which sucks I love the game but the high mmr sweats with the garbage SEA play styles and meta makes any thing past 3 stars just un fun and draining .

The game is designed around sound, headphones are non-negotiable in Hunt. Period. I see a lot of people play without a headset, they type chat everything, make the dumbest plays and can't cover because they let the enemy sneak by without firing a single shot at them. Last fight at Alain & Sons the team was passive and didn't know how to play their loadout or their guns range. I see it all the time people with rifles run up to the walls of main building in compound shooting while looking up at 90° degrees meanwhile shotgun players crouch walk everywhere with their handgun out. Schools really need to teach people how to critical think at this point. People seems to be getting birthed without frontal lobes in their brains. Cheaters? Cheaters are the dudes that take point blank shotgun blasts with no hit registers. While they calmly res their team as you keep unloading all your guns at point blank. Cheaters are the 500+ meter shots with automatic headshots.
IMO the way you aim (with all the flicks) makes it look a bit fishy sometimes but i wouldnt even report those shots even if i was the enemy. Especially in game 1 those guys were sooo scared to do anything, they were probably not the greatest players/new players since they could have just pushed you as 3 when they saw you were solo since rival only has 2 shells you would probably get you if they dont fk up their shots. EDIT also one guy throws a molotov on the roof after you just punshed a horse on the ground which makes me think he might have loud hardbass running in the background and he cant hear things.
Been playing Siege since release - and after all this years I'm still a super average player. Even like that the amount of times I've been called cheater is insane. You know where the head lvl is and made 3-4 headshot kills in a round? Cheater. You have some map knowledge and knew where they're likely to be? Cheater. Wanted to make a hole and clipped some unlucky fellow in the head? Definitely cheater. etc

You can cancel most reload animations by just pressing your firebutton once.

He is playing the original setting "hunter" instead of "gunslinger", you can change it in the menu.

With the hunter control scheme, I'm assuming just shoulder aim after hitting "R". With gunslinger, I assume ADSing would serve the same purpose.
