There's a certain level of calculated aggression that comes with the confidence of being extremely good at a game, and I've always found it fascinating to what an extent Rachta displays it. An absolute god.
There is no worse feeling than outplaying and killing 5 people, only to trade on the 6th guy and just wish one of you got the kill. If I wipe the server and trade on the last guy, no one gets the bounty. Id rather just die to the guy and give him the bounty than have the server die in a trade ;-;
The close range trade window is soo painful the last few patches, not sure if its just because I've been using shotguns more to notice it or if its gotten worse, but damn it can feel really unfair sometimes. I love shotguns for solo, but I feel like 60% or more of my solo games end in trades. x.x I used to be more of a believer that trades aren't too big of an issue because it is simply due to bullet speed- bullets have travel time, they aren't instant, so if two people pull their trigger within a second of each other, its likely going to end with both people getting shot. And that is definitely true, many trades just come down to both people firing at the same time, but recently I have had a massive influx of trades where the person is falling, or on the ground, before I get shot. I SEE the death animation and then the shot comes after and kills me, or I survive it but see that their gun goes off while theyre dying, rather than before. That feels extremely common recently and that form of trading should just not exist.
Yea, trading is horrible atm. People complained about hitreg when they died, but it were just shots that were invalidated because they were already dead on the server when they shot. Well, Crytek took that feedback and shots from dead people are barely (if at all) invalidated anymore, so we are left with the current trading situation.
I’ve played and used shotguns since the game first came out and it was never this bad. I play with my friend who lives on the east coast while I play on the west coast of the US. I usually play with 100 ping. Because of this the trade window for my perspective is insane. I’ve had times where I killed someone 5 seconds before they even had a chance to shoot but I still die because I’m seeing a past version of them. If that makes sense.
They could easily circumvent this by just increasing shotgun bullet speed, it wouldn't be "unfair" due to the range knock off, it would just reward position and reaction time so that it isn't such a constant coin toss.
@@zan6585 sure that could improve it, but would not solve ping differences. If both players have a bad ping of 70ms there is a time window of 140ms where you can trade.
Makes sense to use shotties for solo, the way to win solo vs trios is to split up the fight into lots of smaller 1v1s, and thats a lot easier to do in cqb than at long range.
Correct braindead, it is also important to end the engagements quickly and take advantage of any mistakes they make. This is true for any one sided engagement where you're on the losing side.

It’s called stay near cover most high rate of fire weapons carry very little ammo, high reload time, can’t Pierce harder obstacles unless they have high velocity, i wait until I hear about 4 or 5 shots then I rush with shotty or stay out of their range and try to tap them with a rifle
Crossbow is basicly a shotgun with very high range and infinit headshot range in my opinion crossbow needs a ton of skill but if you have that skill its so broken
@@leeham6230 Yeah but 1. if youre that close to your opponent that an arm hit would kill them with slugs you will hit the body shot with the crossbow as well and even if you dont you have 4 damage ticks to stop the bleeding before dying thats not enough to run behind cover. And 2. you have like a TON more bodyshot onehit range with the Crossbow. And 3. If you realy desparatly want Arm penetration you can just take Shotbolts which is still cheaper than slugs.
Yo, explain those keybinds man! How do you have your main weapon at +, then secondary at E, and further down at s, c, f, z, WHEEL (??), a, i and e again? I guess your keyboard is not an latin one, otherwise I have no clue.
I know this is different from the video, but does anyone know hit to contact the devs? I was curious is they were going to add other ways of getting past skins like the Plague doctor or such? I'd really like that skin
There is not really a good way to contact the devs, and skins from old events are locked behind that event. Sometimes they repeat events tho and you are able to purchase the old skins for blood bonds.

The rival 78 is my favorite weapon! I got to 6 star for the first time using it and the spitfire. I always find it to be reliable and highly under rated.
How do you get so much consistency out of the rival? Is the head shot damage multiplier enough from shotguns that at range it’s still worth it to hip fire for heads? It could be that my center mass shots are actually off target enough to ruin my damage output but I’ve ended up without kills after two hits at ranges you’re putting people down in one.
also with shotguns you don't want centre mass In general you are best off shooting the neck, where half your pellets hit the head and the other half hit the upper torso
Huge potential for solo players. Meanwhile, I use a 198 dmg shotgun and hit a guy in the chest 5 feet away from me and he doesn't die. He hits me once with his shottie and I die. Quit the game.
HUGE POTENTIAL FOR TRADING ON THE FIRST OR SECOND FIGHT/KILL AND BEING OUT OF THE GAME BECAUSE YOU'RE SOLO. In all seriousness solo players should be running cheese tactics or sniping because the servers just arent good enough to risk your whole game on a trade
My issue with shotguns is I trade so often right now. I've literally shot people, watched them be mid death animation and shoot me back on more than a dozen occasions. Drives me bananas. Crytech please fix.
What's funny is this is an intended feature. A couple years ago people complained about shots not registering before they died, so they switched from a server side hit reg to a client side hit reg. This means if on your screen you pull the trigger. 9/10 the gun will go off even if you are already dead to the server. Dumb, I know.
@@rylanlunnon9640 It's honestly only poor visual feedback caused by higher pings/lag spikes that cause the really egregious cases. For the most part it makes sense, and during the fight they did end up pulling the trigger. It isn't perfect, but it's 10x better than "WHERE DID MY BULLET GO" since I play on 90 ping. But yeah, the system has had some vaudeville moments at times. Trading is too prevalent and too likely to happen. I've traded with the last guy 3x in a row solo-bounty hunting. The pain is real.
Bruh, Shotguns just dominate this whole game. Solo or not. 95% of my deaths Is getting blasted by buckshot. Or slugs lol. It kinda sucks ngl but it’s not hard to counter
Is animation cancelling a thing in this game? Appears it might give a slight reload advantage on that single shot pistol to holster and draw the second the new cartridge is loaded.

Your follow up shot reload has the entire animation visible on screen even after you insert the new cartridge, doesn't appear that you holster and reload. I'm new to the game and figured it might be some advanced trick to reload faster or something. Games like Sea of Thieves have had quick swapping and such. I can see where it might just be a visual thing too though.

Literally one of the worst weapon archetypes for solo players lol. You trade once and your game is over. Hard to outskill multiple enemies from 5 meters away, when all it takes is a trade
@@davidmorales8241 Rifles with a Quartermaster setup (Dolch precision is prolly the strongest medium slot weapon backup) or Uppercut for pooling long ammo are generally your best bet as a solo. Solo is very hard, but anything can work if you're good enough. Shotguns are of course very strong, but because of Hunt's crazy trade window I just dont think its too realistic to recommend them as a top tier choice when you're playing alone. With Rifles, the outcome of a game is more in your own hands. With Shotguns, you just have to hope your opponents miss, which is a lot rarer in the sub 10 meter range, especially when playing at his skill level. He even makes a joke about trading right at the start of the video
Shotguns honestly are reason I don’t find the game fun anymore. One wrong move and anyone no matter how good or bad they are can click once and your dead. Honestly I preferred long ammo campers because wt least I could push them and not get 1 shot body shot. And before someone says “just use explosive” if that is your ideology you are dumb. The second you even fuse that thing they are vaulting out the window to obliterate you.

Shotguns and crossbow are my go-to when soloing. I find that the big instant kill potential is great to even the odds. Just need good gamesense

@@osterhai Crossbow has the major downside of not being able to pierce arms. Just one more reason why slugs are still more powerful.

Crytek doesn’t care trading makes solo incredibly difficult. Ever since 3 man teams were added it was obvious what direction the devs had in mind.
They cared about it bit the community wanted a client side hit registration and they changed that.
Not on console it's like they nerfed all the shotties...they kinda rubbish not on PC I'm guessing 😅
