Girl I am with you! Microlocs was / is the best decision I have ever made for my hair. Costa Rica is on my bucket list. I’m celebrating 2.5 years loc’d now and I’m following you for inspiration hair goals.😊😘
@growqueen oh ok! You passed the most challenging phase in my opinion. As your name says, your hair will grow Queen 🙌🏾 enjoy the shouldee length phase 😊😊😊
Your hair is beautiful well done on reaching 7 years. Regards regrowth looks normal & after 7 years you could leave longer between reties as it seems you get one full rotation, I recently started to leave longer gaps between reties and it’s great. Also try jojoba or avocado oil as our hair can absorb these 2 oils coconut oil tends to leave hair crispy, but it’s just a suggestion as we have similar hair density & fine strand texture but I have 190 locs as didn’t want lonnnnnnnnng maintenance sessions. Thanks for hair update been waiting for this ☺️ 🇬🇧
Dione! I recognize your name. Thank you for still being here! I did use avocado and jojoba for awhile when I was in the states. I'll give them a try again. Thank you for that reminder. It really means a lot to see your name. How many years has it been for you with your locs?
I'm like you, I like to switch up hairstyles. So I'm afraid I will get bored with the permanent loc look, but I want waist length hair for once in my life 😢
Yea, if I didn’t have Locs, I’m not sure if my hair would reach the length it is now. It would require a lot more time and attention. ✨ I still switch up styles though but now it’s loc’d styles.
Same. This is why I originally loc’d my hair. Little did I know I would come to LOVE my locs for so much more than length. Good luck on your loc journey!

🙌🏾 Congrats on 2.5 years loc’d! Not sure what environment you’re in, but my Locs love the weather in the Caribbean side of Costa Rica.
