A little trivia...when my mother was a young girl she would come, in the summer, to stay with family near Eton. She remembers going to play with the two young princesses (Elizabeth and Margaret) at Windsor. I wrote to the Queen and asked her if she remembered. I got a slightly frosty reply from a "Lady in Waiting" to say that commoners were never invited to play with the princesses....and I don't suppose the Queen even got my letter!! I posted all of this on a family history site and amazingly got an email from a lady who said that her mother also remembered being picked up in a horse and trap to go play at Windsor with the princesses. Nice little story eh?? Love and hugs and a kiss on the nose for Otis.
There is no point at all to you two talking while you are holding Otis. No one is listening. Windsor Castle, from the boat. What a life you are living.
Billy Joel did a song back in the late 1980's that referenced that scandal. The song was We Didn't Start the Fire. I like to play that song when I get to teaching about post-WW II because it references every major event since 1945 to the 80's.

And who could forget "Terrahawks" in the early 80's which had the voice of Windsor Davies in it! There you go... the Windsor connection again (as opposed to the rainbow connection which was another puppet thing... arghhh)

Oh and on the subject of puppet shows. Would claymations count? Wallis and Gromit and such? How about the big suit puppets with an entire person inside? No? Well then I'll stick to the Muppets.
Thought when you passed Cookham churchyard you might mention Stanley Spencer, who was from Cookham and made some amazing paintings based on the graveyard - and some even more amazing painting of the shipyards in Port Glasgow during WW2.
Otis looks like butter rum ice cream, and ohhh, the lovely puppy breath. I know Dillon will be showing him the ropes🥰. How is your leg Colin? Love all three of you, have a great day😀😆💙💚💜

A great vlog with some stunning houses and scenery to be seen and then there's that adorable pup Otis.I bet he could have his very own fan club. Thanks guys say Hi to Elizabeth if you meet her shopping in Windsor Waitrose
Great video as always Boys. I remember when we went cruising on the Thames some years ago now and we moored by Windsor Race course so we could let our little poodle do a wee. After a few minutes some Jobsworth came running up to us screaming "Get that dog off the Race course" As you can imagine we jumped back on the boat and legged it. That is my memory of Windsor. After saying all that you are on beautiful part of the Thames. Take care as always and be careful Sean on the forthcoming trip. Lots of Love. xxx
I looked up the Sounding Arch and it is quite interesting :) love Otis licking Shaun's ears I would be squirming as ticklish :D Amazing that you can moor in Windsor and just have THE castle just down the road and looking forward to the next vlog and seeing around town xxx
Hi, I'm still loving your journey down the Thames from here in Buenos Aries. You should give sailing a try. I used to belong to the Thames Sailing Club based between Kingston upon Thames and Thames Ditton, each year we used to tow a string of 'Thames A Rater ' Dinghys to Bourne End for the annual sailing regatta . Your dog looks so sweet compared to my little bugger, a 10 year old street dog
Your snippets of information are really interesting, thanks for your research, have fun while the weather holds, oh yes I get to see your new ones at 5.30pm here in Cape Town, so I settle down with a G&T and enjoy your/our trips
Nice memories of the river. Cliveden reach is spectacular in autumn when that wooded slope changes colour. We lived in Maidenhead from 1957 to 1967, and the scandals were front page news...... Also more, as just before Maidenhead bridge was Skindles Hotel. That's where many stayed for a dirty weekend in the 20s and 1930s. 24 miles from London on the Bath Road in your MG or similar! Alan.
Great Vlog as eveeeeerrrrr..... The house Gerry Anderson started in was a Squat that he and the film crew all lived in together, it was in a bit of a state. Once they had made some money on the 'Four Feather Falls' series and 'Supercar' they bought a unit at Bray Studios and set up the Model studios there for filming Thunderbirds and all their subsequent series after right through to Terrahawks.... The Hotel you spoke of at the Studios was 'The Frankenstiein Place', House of Frankenfurter, in 'The Rocky Horror Picture Show'.... but I bet you already knew all this through your always excellent research LOL x

Oh and on the subject of puppet shows. Would claymations count? Wallis and Gromit and such?
How about the big suit puppets with an entire person inside? No?
Well then I'll stick to the Muppets.
Enjoyed the episode fellas. Love the info and the banter and the scenery. By the way how is that leg doing. Looks like all is better.
Yeah, 95% there now with the leg. Started running again and can do the locks 👍🏻
Thank you for sharing Otis!
Sure thing!
Thought when you passed Cookham churchyard you might mention Stanley Spencer, who was from Cookham and made some amazing paintings based on the graveyard - and some even more amazing painting of the shipyards in Port Glasgow during WW2.
Nope 😂
Otis looks like butter rum ice cream, and ohhh, the lovely puppy breath. I know Dillon will be showing him the ropes🥰. How is your leg Colin? Love all three of you, have a great day😀😆💙💚💜
Yeah, my leg is good thanks, all recovered!
I used to moor up right next to Windsor castle, not far from the lock. Can you still moor up there? It's handy for the pub, and my dogs loved it. Don't you just love that puppy breath? Love Otis xxx
I know where you mean but it's got 'No Mooring' signs there now 🙈
That’s us taught!! Ta for another bit of Friday Fun. So glad you got Otis. Wee star. Hope Shaun had a good trip up north. Enjoy wherever you are. C&Lx

Aww, thank you! 😛👋🏻
A great vlog with some stunning houses and scenery to be seen and then there's that adorable pup Otis.I bet he could have his very own fan club.
Thanks guys say Hi to Elizabeth if you meet her shopping in Windsor Waitrose
I think we saw her in Home Bargains filling her trolley with cheap tuna 😂
@@FoxesAfloat I didnt know Corgis liked Tuna
Great video as always Boys. I remember when we went cruising on the Thames some years ago now and we moored by Windsor Race course so we could let our little poodle do a wee. After a few minutes some Jobsworth came running up to us screaming "Get that dog off the Race course" As you can imagine we jumped back on the boat and legged it. That is my memory of Windsor. After saying all that you are on beautiful part of the Thames. Take care as always and be careful Sean on the forthcoming trip. Lots of Love. xxx
Haha! We've met a few jobsworths like that on the Thames!
Was lovely seeing the Bray Lock from the water! I recall going there as a teenager...and a landlubber!
So cool!
I learn so much. Thank you for all the great info.
You are so welcome!
Your vlogs are the best advertisement for all that is beautiful in England. Wonderful to share your morning with you.
Glad you enjoy it!
I looked up the Sounding Arch and it is quite interesting :) love Otis licking Shaun's ears I would be squirming as ticklish :D Amazing that you can moor in Windsor and just have THE castle just down the road and looking forward to the next vlog and seeing around town xxx
Yeah, it's quite a view as you come under the railway bridge with the castle looking down from the hill.
Also, did you know that Michael and Mary Parkinson live in Brey. We passed them getting into their day boat one time. We waved and they waved back! 😃
Yeah, we don't show people who still live there for their own privacy 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
Hi, I'm still loving your journey down the Thames from here in Buenos Aries. You should give sailing a try. I used to belong to the Thames Sailing Club based between Kingston upon Thames and Thames Ditton, each year we used to tow a string of 'Thames A Rater ' Dinghys to Bourne End for the annual sailing regatta . Your dog looks so sweet compared to my little bugger, a 10 year old street dog
Yeah, got to try sailing soon. I'm sure your dog is lovely! 🥰
@@FoxesAfloat I think so, but I doubt there are many that agree with me ha ha
Your snippets of information are really interesting, thanks for your research, have fun while the weather holds, oh yes I get to see your new ones at 5.30pm here in Cape Town, so I settle down with a G&T and enjoy your/our trips
Thanks for watching!
Pure class! Thank you.
You're very welcome!
Thanks for another great video. I find myself anxious to get home on Fridays so I can watch.
Don't get anxious! Get excited 👍🏻💜
Alan.
Cheers, Alan!
All fascinating 👍🏻
Bear Mascall Thanks for the awesome info on the Frankenfurter Palace... 😎
