Definitely one of the Best Rap Albums of the Decade, this Album just springs Nostalgic of childhood Home. And will make you love the place you grew up despite wanting to move out as you grow there is no place like Home after all.
Cole is very silly/cheeky in some of his lyrics and deliveries. Super chill, but always shares the insights he’s come across. ♒️♒️♒️ this album helped me thru depression and Love Yourz was the first time the practice of gratitude was presented to me.
I like to look at this album as a progression of J. cole, almost like an autobiography. It starts with Jan 28th (birth date), 03’ adolescence, & wet dreamz which speak to his youth. Each song is a representation of his mind state at that time point in his life. The album ends with Love Yourz which is him reflecting on his come up and his ultimate realization.
Glad yall got around to doing my boy J. Cole. While I love this album alot, I think from seeing your Dad's taste he'll end up being more of a fan of 4 Your Eyez Only & KOD than this album but this isn't a bad way to get introduced to Cole at all. Edit: Also yall loved the production but didn't mention Cole also produced all of the songs on the album as well, the man does it all!
18:55 This song will forever sit with me. When I was 21 this album came out during a time while I going through a time when I was trying to decide what I should do with my life. I had dreams that weren’t coming through fast enough. Way before this song I was sitting with myself trying to choose “which path do I take?” “The left path or the the right path?” I ended up taking the right path. 8 years later the right path ended up leading me to where I wanted to be!! This album came out during that time. I always come listen to this song. And the fact that you your Dad loves this song is securing! ❤️🐐
The fact that your dad didn’t appreciate wet dreamz as the vulnerable piece of art it was kind of bugs me. There’s hardly ever been a rap song with that level of storytelling from a place of vulnerability from a males perspective.
not everyone gonna love what we love das just how it is, but yea i can see how you’d expect him to at least be able to see that since it’s being thrown in his face
I knew pops was going to eventually like J Cole as soon as he said he sounded like he was faking it in January 28th because that’s literally the opposite of JCole and he will hear it for himself later on.
I haven’t gotten into the album reaction yet, but after watching you guys discuss TPAB and Flower Boy, I really would love to see you guys react to 4 Your Eyez Only. Very very under appreciated and has a lot of powerful social commentary.
Great Video man. First time watching you’re video. I’m a huge fan of J Cole my favorite rapper of all time and the fact that you’re dad enjoyed his music I will definitely subscribe. I enjoyed his feedback.
great video. Love seeing appreciation to Cole. Please do more Cole. KOD is a good album where your father can identify Coles maturity in terms of how he sees things namely: Photograph, THE CUT OFF, ONCE AN ADDICT INTERLUDE, FRIENDS, WINDOW PAIN OUTRO AND 1985. If you do not do the whole 4 YOUR EYEZ ONLY, please do your favourites. And obv. the Off Season. Born sinner has a few bangers as well. but keep up the good work bro, hope many people come across your channel.
I love Born sinner as well, while it may be less mature I think it’s a good album where he reflects and the album leads well into the rest of his discography
1. Cole World sideline story 2. Born Sinner 3. 2014 forest hills drive is underrated 4. 4 your eyes only hella underrated 5. KOD hella underrated 6. The off season hella underrated His last album is the fall off
Great reaction! Loved how in depth you guys got and how you analysed it. Picked up some things I haven’t seen before looking forward to you reacting to other cole albums!
So one thing on gomd the chorus isn't Cole it's an uncredited feature by a rapper named trick daddy. Like it's obviously his voice and cadence if you know who he is. And I think he is even in the video.
@@putyouon Dangg, my fav kanye album too. its all good, nothing was the same would be a dope reaction too. And idk if your just doing hip hop reactions but The Weeknd & Frank ocean reactions would be fire.
With newer albums, it’s good to go into it blind like this, but I feel like it’s better to provide some more context for older albums like this. I feel like the context makes the first listen a lot more enjoyable and understandable. Love the reaction tho💜
Forrest Hills is a Double Entrada He Grew up on Forrest Hills Dr but Graduated from St John's University n lived around the corner from Queens Forrest Hillsafter Jay Z signed him

If anybody hasn't said it, I will. PLEASEEE react to the Music Videos for this album! PLEASE! I would love to see your dad's face and give his input ...Also Music videos from Kendrick.
J Cole and Kendrick are definitely closer on PAR in terms of skills, both don’t care about attention. The talent brings attention. Drake and Kanye are more in par in terms of marketability, both care for attention. Talent is there but a lot of marketing efforts had lead to them shinning more. I still put Kendrick and Cole higher than Drake and Kayne.
I gotta say you're wrong about Ye. Cause Kanye cares for attention but not to the point where he sacrifices his talent, creativity and artistry. Same guy who made 808s and Yeezus, he's literally one of the only mainstream artists pushing the genre forward.
Your dad you hear either definitely check out the born sinner album, a dollar and dream 3 and his pretty little fears feature with 6lack Also power trip
I would love to see a reaction to Some Rap Songs or Madvillainy or that area of rap! Or Arca - Kick iii would be wild. Or Charli XCX’s Charli, or Carly Rae Jepsen

beautifully put i never noticed that
No way he can say Cole is trying to be a tough guy
some people just not gonna get it lol it's okay
@@thebeatmajors_yt right lol
He seemed to warm up to Cole later in the vid
Ong bro I legit laughed when he said that lol
at the start, now its fine@@thebeatmajors_yt
This is my favorite album of all time just so much nostalgic feeling and relatable songs that hit me right in the gut
One of the things that makes J Cole one of the greats for me is his rhyming. The schemes are insane if you actually look into it.
Glad yall got around to doing my boy J. Cole. While I love this album alot, I think from seeing your Dad's taste he'll end up being more of a fan of 4 Your Eyez Only & KOD than this album but this isn't a bad way to get introduced to Cole at all.

Honestly didn't like it at first but it grew on me over time
You guys are just dropping constant bangers, we appreciate you guys so much 💙
I appreciate you for watching! Thank you
Your dad will LOVE KOD. Hope you guys make it to that album soon. Much more social, political, uplifting.. I think your dad will vibe to it.
Idk if you guys will see this. But jcole is the one who put Kendrick on, he recommended Kendrick Lamar to dr.dre
It always makes me happy to see people enjoying Cole's music just like I do.
So wholesome that you introduced him to J. Cole, I think he would love Cole World: The Sideline Story
Anyone can appreciate J. Cole because he makes MUSIC, not just a rapper.
I knew pops was going to eventually like J Cole as soon as he said he sounded like he was faking it in January 28th because that’s literally the opposite of JCole and he will hear it for himself later on.
Your pops is chill AF bruh🫡
Love this album, can't wait for more Cole
I wish I could go back in time and listen to this album for the first time again
Your dad should definitely react to either KOD or 4 Your Eyez Only
One thing to note, as I heard you guys talk a lot about the production is the fact that Cole produces 85% of his music. Great video!
love this one, 4 your eyez only would be great to see reaction, because that album on highest storytelling level
Definitely my favourite albums of 2014
I gave my mom my copy of this record for her birthday and she loves cole now
Love the authentic reactions, keep it up dawg
Lessgoooo
Memories...
Plus, almost all songs produced by him
Yes! So excited you started this journey! Keep up the great work!
Thanks a lot 🤟🏻
My top 3 favorite album of all time. No other songs can bring me that nostalgia feeling quite like this one.
20:01 plot twist: your dad is the friend Cole’s talking about
st tropez is my favorite j cole track, massively underrated
My favorite album of all time , from production to lyrics , no features , Goated album
No skips
Omg yesss!! So excited for this
I think Born Sinner is super slept on you guys gotta check it out.

Great video! J. Cole grew up in NC but was born in Germany.
Funny thing is I listen to the last song every time lol I love it.
Sorry :( wish the video saved

5. KOD hella underrated
6. The off season hella underrated
His last album is the fall off
Top 3 of best albums ever made in the 2010-2020s. And only reason I say top three is because I need to figure out the other 2
Great reaction! Loved how in depth you guys got and how you analysed it. Picked up some things I haven’t seen before looking forward to you reacting to other cole albums!

Funny how I just came across this album this Monday and I find this reaction video this album for me is unmatched
Wow that’s so cool! Thanks for watching 🤟🏻
Nothing Was The Same by Drake & Late Registration by Kanye are a must. Suscribed. Love yourz is my favorite song off FHD.
Thanks for the sub! We did actually do late registration but it was unfortunately blocked :(

True 😂
Flexing is part of hip-hop
We need that revenge of the dreamers reaction 💜
You should check 4 Your Eyez Only by J Cole, arguably his best album by far.
No offense, but if it's arguable, it can't be by far
J Cole and Kendrick are definitely closer on PAR in terms of skills, both don’t care about attention. The talent brings attention.
