    Summary: False reap -> pass leg across -> outside heel hook
    1:26 Sloppy knee cut passing, Pearman capitalizes with the easy false reap entry. Passes leg outside for finish.
    7:25 Uses k-guard to get opp weight on top of him, switches off to false reap on far leg. Passes leg to outside for finish.
    11:45 Arm drag slx entry. Reaps over. Opponent falls, gives kneebar. Pearman switches off to inside heel for finish.
    11:53 Standard half butterfly false reap.
    19:09 Arm drag to get grips. False reap

      what's the difference between inside ash and saddle / cross ash?

      @@RubenBJJ96 its basically cross ashi but you transfer the opponents leg to the other side so you can get outside heelhooks

    All of them got caught with heel hooks? Seems odd that would be such a vulnerability considering the contemporary meta of no gi jiujitsu.

      The sounds comes right after the tap and lets go of the heel hook, but yeah on first watch I thought there was a pop as well.

      People just don't wanna learn to defend leglocks. But leglocks aren't enough to podium in ADCC.

      no, he secures a grip on the heel and rotates the lower leg while preventing hip rotation to break the knee. He doesn't "twist the ankle". Again, if you dont like jiu jitsu why tf are you here@@grantlisk3871

    That was great. But my honest opinion is he will struggle in ADCC. Time after time has proven you have to have more than a strong leg game to win.

      You can say almost every trial winner will struggle at worlds hahah. He might be a bit undersized at this weight too.

    Personally wish leg locks were not a part of jiu jitsu. Sometimes there’s no way to tap on time before serious injury. Who wants to lose a match and also not be able to compete after or potentially have lifelong issues after that? Feel like it ruins the game, although I know without it people feel like a huge part of offense is missing.

      It is absolutely the responsibility of ANY competitor to not enter ADCC if they have not trained to a satisfactory degree LEG LOCK DEFENCE. It is absolutely the responsibility of the coach to advise their competitors to NOT enter into competitions in which after consideration may put them at an unnecessary risk based on the degree to which the competitor can defend themselves. This is sport.
