    I remember watching the American Eagle being built and the Plaque at it's base as you passed by on the Railroad reading "Future sight of the American Eagle, Worlds tallest fastest Dueling Wooden Roller Coaster" (Or something to that effect. I love the ride but it's really showing it's age and I can only hope they do it Justice with a really good RMC upgrade, Huge drops and rip roaring speeds with the Dives and climbs of a really ticked off Eagle ;). Her days are numbered and She looks horrible in 2023 all ratted out wood with paint chipping and such. I hope She gets the Royal treatment and we get to keep her for another 42 years.

    I think they will RMC the eagle when a new ceo comes along, saleem seems to not care about coasters at all, just look at the new additions to every park this year, many parks are overdue for a coaster but not getting one in the next 5 years

  • @stephanhanus7514

    I think they should keep the racing coaster aspect of American eagle, I think they should do what they did with twisted Colossus and make it a racing coaster but you go through both circuits! Also you were right Abt 2024 getting the zamperla giga discovery! You will go a top speed of 75mph and go to a hight of 172ft! As you prob know all of this by now lol, but it is replacing dare devil dive, and they are removing revolution and marti gra... But I totally think they should either RMC American eagle or have gci, cci, or someone like that bc they do all wood unlike rmc bc I think a re track and restoration is all that's needed, like yea RMC would be great but I love the history,

    If they removed Buccaneer Battle, Relocated First AID/Lost Parents and the Basketball Jump Shot area... They could possibly make a single rail fit. We know for SURE if they completely got ride of AMERICAN EAGLE They could easily fit 1 or 2 FULL Themed areas with several rides and at least 2 coasters, but i do not see that happening. I do not see them Expanding Hurricane Harbor any farther unless they A. Take more parking lot, or B. Move Six Flags Drive CLOSER To the interstate.

      I'm definitely in with the idea of removing Buccaneer Battle for a new RMC Single Rail coaster.

    Sf great america has been getting more serious with their refurbishments recently. Considering since the water coaster, they've redone the scenic railway, some themeing and mechanical updates to Demon, a retheme of V2 (as well as the swing ride next door), and entirely new concrete and such for the rapids. Look for them to continue this pattern with a complete retrack of American Eagle

    How about opening Big Lou's Italian Beef and sausage at Great America that they always have closed. That was good. And I agree on all those old rides going bye bye. There is a water park. Keep everything water in the water park. The American Eagle was a big hit from 1981 till 1991. There is barely a line anymore. Replace it with something new. Everything with a beginning has an end. Its old. It ised to compliment the park with the nice paint job in the early years. I will look at it that it was fun while it lasted like all the long gone rides there.👍

    • @jaredchristenson772
      @jaredchristenson772 Год назад

      @@kevineverson3208 well it's officially gone. Buccaneer Battle is expensive to maintain and operate and wasn't nearly popular enough to justify taking that relatively large plot of land, regardless of how many kiddie rides there are. Camp Cartoon is pretty barren this year, I wouldn't be surprised if that area got renovated to a better kids section. Or since daredevil Dive is being removed as well they could extend kidzopolis. Or just replace Buccaneer Battle by extending the kid area right next to it. BB isn't the end all be all of kid rides at the park....it was a massive failure of an investment and wasn't popular

    There’s many reasons why Six Flags Great America is considered as the best overall park within the Six Flags chain. Over the last few years, Six Flags has gifted this park with two new roller coasters, The Joker and Maxx Force. Also, we’ve seen the addition of a record-breaking water coaster, a few thrill rides, and Justice League: Battle for Metropolis. If you ask me, that’s not too bad. Now, how would the future of Great America would look like? Well, I’m glad you asked that.
    1. To start things off, I would give the park a rebranding. In my opinion, I think that the Six Flags part of the name needs to go. With that said, I would just drop the Six Flags name, but I’d put it at the end of the actual park name. Just imagine, Chicago’s Great America - a Six Flags Theme Park. This would be a nice reference to the park’s former name.

    • @justinchavez9530
      @justinchavez9530 Год назад +3

      2. Since I'm planning to invest in new rides and attractions for the park, I predict that Great America would look to focus on some much-needed park improvements. Even though it isn't as exciting as a major new coaster, it'll help make the park look and feel nicer. These would include the following:
      - Giving some of the coasters a fresh coat of paint
      - Renovating a few of the restrooms
      - Improving park infrastructure
      - Adding a few restaurants, which would help improve the food quality
      - Replacing some of the blacktop with pavers
      - Improving the landscape of the park (i.e. making sure that the bushes are properly cut back, plant some flowers, add water features, etc.)
      - Increasing the level of theming and adding some elements (i.e. additional Looney Tunes theming, new street-mosphere characters, adding some statues of presidents, pioneers and settlers, etc.)
      - Giving the park operations and staffing an overhaul

    • @justinchavez9530
      @justinchavez9530 Год назад +2

      3. It's interesting that Great America is the home to two separate kids areas (well, technically three if you count Hometown Park): Kidzopolis and Camp Cartoon. The park needs a large kid area that looks great and have some awesome attractions for the little ones. Now, I predict that Great America would do a complete overhaul of their Yukon Territory area (since it isn't the home to any major coaster or ride). Also, the Winner's Circle Go-Karts attraction would be removed and this section of the park will be re-themed to a new kids/family area. Keeping with the history of Great America, the park would keep the Yukon Territory to be a part of the name for the new kids area, it'll be named Bugs Bunny's Yukon Territory (which the park could use the Looney Tunes theme as much as they could for the new area). I could see the rides worth saving from Kidzopolis and Hometown Park be relocated and move to the kid area where the go-karts used to be located. Then, a few new rides would be added in the area as well. This new kids area would technically have two sides, with the main path running right through the middle of each side. Also, Mooseburgers Lodge and the Little Dipper wooden coaster would stay the same and be incorporated into the new area.
      4. We could see the addition of an outdoor music venue in the Hometown Square area, something like a band-shell. Why it makes sense? During March, local high school bands go to the park to perform, so the new venue would make them feel more comfortable. They could put on 2 parades, like they usually do, but also have 1 sit-down concert there for an hour.

    • @justinchavez9530
      @justinchavez9530 Год назад +2

      5. I predict that Great America would look to remove their HUSS Condor ride. This attraction has been thrilling park riders since 1991, but it first operated at Six Flags Great Adventure in 1988. So, it's time to say goodbye. This massive park, located between Chicago and Milwaukee, is one of the very few ones remaining in the chain that doesn't offer a giant swing ride. So, I predict that you'll see Six Flags Great America open a new 200 ft tall Star Flyer and it'll be located in the place of the park's former Condor ride. I think that this would be the best placement for this massive new thrill ride. Plus, it will add a much-needed new attraction to the Orleans Place section of the park.
      6. Over at the County Fair section of the park, you'll see the removal of Revolution and the blacktop around the area. This attraction seems to not get enough riders, and it's showing a bit of age. I predict that a Zamperla Giga Discovery would open and be located in the same location as the former Revolution attraction.
      7. I predict that Six Flags Great America would add some sort of new nighttime spectacular. In 2019, the park added Block Party as an end-of-the-night show, but since the park's entertainment is consistently ranked as one of the best in the Six Flags chain, I feel that they could do something more "expensive" looking (i.e. better costumes, fireworks, some costumed characters).

    • @justinchavez9530
      @justinchavez9530 Год назад +2

      8. I predict that Justice League: Battle for Metropolis could get an overhaul; this would include upgrading some of the ride's special effects and updating the screens.
      9. We'll see Great America focus on adding new heavily-themed special events, all throughout the year. This would make the park a great place to visit, most of the year. Plus, it was ridiculous of Six Flags removing Holiday in the Park (the regular and drive-through events) from Great America's event lineup. With that in mind, I think that we might see Holiday in the Park make its return soon.
      10. I really do think that Six Flags would definitely want to turn Great America into a major destination attraction. By doing so, we'll see Six Flags Great America open one of those rumored Six Flags hotels, that'll be located close enough to the park. That way, guests can just walk right to the main entrance.
      11. Brace yourself because this one might get me in some serious trouble. I think that you're gonna see Great America remove their log flumes, Yankee Clipper and Aquaman Splashdown. These type of rides take a lot of employees to operate, and any water attraction out there cost a ton of money to operate, especially old Arrow Dynamics log flumes that have been in operation since 1976. If Great America would remove these two attractions, then the park will be left with a ton of room for a new S&S Axis Coaster. It'll become the most unique coaster in the region and will give Six Flags Great America a top 5 coaster lineup in North America. I think that the park would name the coaster, Yankee Sidewinder (it's way better than giving it a DC Comics name).

  • @porkryne72
    @porkryne72 2 года назад +2

    I could see the slide wheel being added to the magic waters in rockford. If they build a pendulum they better replace it with the old huss. As far as raptors go, I can't find an xy footprint for buccaneer battle but there are two variants of the first gen like railblazer and lasso coaster and one 6 seconds longer that range 115x270 and 170x270. Those would have zero problem sitting in this land and it has massive queue ready to go. I wouldn't miss the go karts too much either then you got yourself a jersey devil or flight of courage layout

      @@Midwest_Coasters_ I heard Roaring Rapids has been undergoing refurbishment and is supposed to open this year?- in the Great America Junkies Group. Imo they should remove the Demon, but keep like the station, effects, tunnels, caves, lights, quene and then make a Demon V2 or something that still has "the demon theme" but it's a single rail and has better elements and isn't as rough. I think Demon is good and classical but it's kinda rough and more then that to- the park is pretty land locked.

    I'd rather see Aquaman, but cold weather will limit fla$hpa$$. Hurricane Harbor has a 'water coaster' and Aquaman in SFGam woudl be considered a competitor. HH will be another level of pass to visit both parks. The transition has already begun with new gate and $10 for 'bring a friend free'
