The Belarusian people are in a similar position to Ukraine under Yanukovich. Would the Belarusian forces actually obey the command to attack a neighbouring NATO country, knowing the consequences? I have my doubts.

@@cuntyfinger110 In Ukraine, under the corrupt Yanukovych, there was economic growth, almost free gas from Putin, developed foreign trade, hundreds of opposition media and parties worked, there was no war, hundreds of thousands of dead soldiers, the Black Sea Fleet in Crimea paid for base rent, Doetsk and Lugansk were Ukrainian provinces. You're right, it was a real nightmare that had to be stopped by any means!

From my perspective (Australian), it seems to me that just like Ukrainians, Belarusians are much more courageous than Russians in every aspect.
Belarusians want change, and they want Lukashenko gone, and many Belarusians have sacrificed everything for freedom.
And that always deserves respect.

Attacking the Suwalky gap only makes sense when Kaliningrad is strategically important. However, since Sweden and Finland joined Nato the Baltic sea is a NATO lake and closed by Gotland opposite of Kaliningrad.
