    Wow they have worn well! Great review. Very detailed and informative. I just purchased these for my wife's Toyota Venza. 245 50 20 inch and they performed great after our first nasty snow storm this October, very icy. So far so good. I'm happy that at 46,000 miles you still have lots of tread life. Thats really good actually. I'm going to get these for my 3/4-ton Duramax when it needs new skins. Thanks for sharing.

    My Wildpeaks only lasted 30,000 miles on my F150 and I frequently checked their pressure and rotated them every 3500-5000 miles. They were at 3/32s when I got rid of them. I didn't go through the warranty process because they only give you a percentage of the cost according to how much tread you have left. You also have to send them in for inspection and provide documents of alignments and rotations. I rotated them myself a few times so I didn't want to go through the hassle. I liked these so much in the beginning that I bought them for my Jeep wrangler and they are also wearing quickly. I bought the SL load rating since a 1/2 ton doesn't really need an LT. I'm sure the LT would have lasted a little longer since it comes with a deeper tread depth, but the extra weight will cost you mpgs and it will ride rougher.

      Hey thanks for the feedback, I kind of assumed the SL loads would wear faster being a different tread compound and ply rating. But you’re right the LT tires are much heavier!

    Thanks for these updates. Looks and sounds like a great tire overall. A question though. Sounds like they are great in the snow and off road generally, and acceptable in the mud off road, but in the spring and summer, when the snow and ice are all gone, how do these perform on wet roads in the rain, and on dry roads, especially at highway speeds but anytime too?

    • @TrophyTimeAdventures
      @TrophyTimeAdventures  11 месяцев назад +1

      Hey they are a great all terrain tire, they are great in wet and rain traction as well as the snow with their siping they have. They are very quiet as well for an all terrain. My only drawback I’ve had is the weight of these tires compared to other all terrains of the same size, something to be mindful of for handling and performance characteristics. Hope that helps!

    My Yokohama were pretty much gone by 35k miles especially going into the winter. Putting these tires on my Tundra for the first time today. Even though many complain of the price of these going up they priced out right there with the Yokohama and the cheaper Goodyear Wrangler tires I was looking at. And these Wildpeaks seem like a lot more tire imo.

    • @TrophyTimeAdventures
      @TrophyTimeAdventures  10 месяцев назад

      Yeah even though prices have gone up on them they are still competitive to many other AT tires in the lineup, even the pinnacle brands like BFG and Toyo/Nitto have climbed in price as well and these are still significantly less than those usually.

      @@TrophyTimeAdventures just picked up my truck. The guy/dealership I bought these from is an old hunting and fishing buddy of mine. This is the first time he’s seen these tires because they don’t carry or offer Falken but I had him special order these for me. He was impressed with these tires and kept asking questions about how loud were they and wondering how long the tread life would be. I just sent him this video. He texted me back and said we’re going to start pushing these along with our current line. He’s the head guy for buying tires and things like that for 5 or 6 dealerships I believe. I think Falken should give you your next set of tires. Ha!

    I just ordered the Wildpeak A/T3W and am having them put on next week. Can I ask what size lift you have and if you've experienced any rubbing? I ordered 305/65-18 which are are about a 33.6 inch tire with a 12 inch wide tread. I was looking to get a 33x11.5 tire but Falken doesn't have that size in this tire. To get that width, I would need the tire you have but it's over 34 inches tall and I was concerned about rubbing with only having a 2 inch leveling kit installed. The wheels I'm putting them on are 18x9 with 0 offset like yours. It's all going on a 2012 F150 XLT 4x4 with a 2 inch leveling kit.

    • @TrophyTimeAdventures
      @TrophyTimeAdventures  11 месяцев назад +1

      I currently have 2.7” lift with 0 offset and only had light rubbing on the front crash bars that 2015+ models have not sure if your 2012 has crash bars or not. I had 2” level and +18mm offset with these tires before and experienced no rubbing. Hope that helps!

    Not sure if you went from stock P tires to these or not. I will be and wondering two things, 1) what can I expect in loss of mpg from the stock wranglers in my f150, and 2) how big of a difference is there in ride performance? Will passengers feel the difference? Thx!

    • @TrophyTimeAdventures
      @TrophyTimeAdventures  10 месяцев назад

      Hello I went from lt275/70/18 to these size tires so not factory. I didn’t notice much if any of a loss of mpg from stock to that size, but the jump to lt295/70/18 was noticeable overall city/hwy mpg drop of about 1.5-2mpg. My truck is 5.0 with 3.73 gearing, you may see different results with different motor and axle configurations, I will say getting a custom tune helped significantly. As for ride quality these are heavy tires and E rated so you will notice a difference in handling, slightly harsher ride. If you chalk test your tires and find right psi to run front and rear that helps a lot with ride quality. Hope that helps!

    • @TrophyTimeAdventures

      Yes the falkens are definitely cheaper than the toyos. The weight in 295/70/18 size falkens are 68.1, Toyo at3 are 63. I would consider the cooper at3 xlt they are lighter than both at 61 pounds each and traditional 2 ply sidewall for better ride comfort. They are also priced pretty well too, those are the tires I have on currently and have held up great in the snow/ice so far this winter and mild off roading I’ve done.

      I believe they only 3 peak rated the narrower 265 or 275 section width sizes and not the 295 size. However they are loaded with siping and have a softer compound than my wildpeaks did so in theory they should be just as good or better in snow and wet traction.
