This is pretty dope. I actually saved this video so I could come back to it at a later date. Of course now everyone will try to be doing zoom music production sessions with Curtiss King. Lol. But this is cool as there used to be a platform in the early 2000's where you would place your music on a website and a performer would be able to open it on their end and add their vocals or instrument playing to the song and you could collaborate from 2 different locations. But that didn't have the camera features of today like Zoom to see each other in the work process and be able to converse. So this is way better as you could work together simultaneously. This is awesome.👏👍
I did this a couple months back with some guys, and it was such a cheat code moment. Definitely gonna be the future of studio sessions and collaboration.
Thank you very much Curtiss 🤗💕🌸 I was really struggling and you explained it so nicely and understandably! I also like how you speak, very precise and uplifting, everything to the point, very valuable 💜 I wish you great success!
Where I work, we have moved all our conference calls to Zoom. I dont know why I never thought it could be utilized for music production and collaboration. Genius.
Thanks bro!! Been wanting to figure this out and you made that smooth and easy for me. Now I absolutely have to collab and push myself out of my comfort zone!!
Great video Kurtis! I know this is a little late, but my questions pertains to recording audio w hill in FL. How would you record the vocals of the artist you’re collaborating with, preferably live. Would they need their own DAW Or could you do it within Zoom? Thank you again for the informative video!
Bless us with that ASIO Link Pro Tutorial. I'm contemplating grabbing the Apogee Symphony Desktop as well for the Loop-Back feature and of course, the converters. But I would Like to know how to get it up and running for streaming. I am a Windows 10 Gang 4lyfe user so I know the struggles but you seem to have found a stable solution. Bless. MOSTMusic
I'm tryng to collab with some friend. I'm using your method Curtis, it seems good but I have a little problem. I'm using ableton and a Focusrite... It's strange because I managed to share all computer sounds but not the ones of my DAW. Whay could be happening? Please help us!!!
Also I’m curious, I just discovered 3 new ways to collaborate live (sessionwire, zoom, and Soundtrap) but now I don’t know which is most convenient benefiting and has max workflow I solely use FL and intend work with pol whom may not be “DAW” savey but can record a good lick lol
to answer your statement at 8:10 ... apparently this video (ruclips.net/video/JPNS8-aIivA/видео.html) talks about a brand called "Soundwhale" that lets you do all the standard remote recording features PLUS sending midi live... **mind blown.**

Upvote this if you think there should be a remote option in DAWs to be able to work on the same project real-time using MIDI & VSTs.
Appreciate the vid! What plan do you have on Zoom?
👍🏾 solid info

Nice video! Tkz. Have you tried Koord?
Would the friend controlling it remotely also be able to use his/her keyboard to play the VST's?
