yes.. i felt sad inside too.. those were probably his former red shoulder squadmates (cant rmb the names).. and the attack is now called "solo attack"... :( .... if i rmb correctly they all died attacking a base in one of the OVA i watched a long time ago

@@ES21007 They lived the end of Z2-2, but Last Red Shoulder and Roots of Ambition weren't on Z3's cast lists so we don't know about them after that.

I never watched votoms but there are attacks where the scopedog eyes rotate and switch...is that some form of lock on sight for missiles or something?

I believe it helps the HUD of an Armored Trooper adjust so the pilot can get a clear shot.

Different cameras. If I remember right. I doubt the scope dog has any automated targeting. It's a pretty bare bones suit.

Big blue lens scope - normal view
Red lens scope - mostly use for long range artillery or missile launchers
Tiny hole scope - precision shots or sniping

Minor nitpick about this thing, this thing's animations are better than all the other Scopedogs... Except for the final attack cut-in. All the others have badass cut-ins and last shots where Chirico finishes the enemy in one strike before moving on, but the last one here feels so forced and rushed.

Last Red Shoulder refers to Chirico and his 3 squadmates (the ghosts you see in his final attack) whom are the remnants of the Red Shoulder Batallion (whom custom Scopedogs had the left shoulder painted red). The 4 customized their Scopedog to Turbo Custom to take down pailsen but only Chirico survived, hence this version named Scopedog TC-LRS.

It's called that because it's one of the few loadouts that the Red Shoulders used as a whole, oddly enough. It is considered in-verse to be essentially 'pants soiling moment' for AT pilots as a whole. The Red Shoulders were one of those units that made everyone shit their pants...
