- Battleships, oversized bugs, giant space warlords, a Megadeus, ridiculous science fiction barriers, UFOs, or even a Greek god, nothing stands in the way of the most powerful weapon of mass destruction in SRW Z3 - Chirico's pistol. This is a montage dedicated to one of the most humorous attacks in SRW Z3.

The best part is just how underimpressed Chirico looks as he kills a Lovecraftian/existential/divine enemy to death. "Did this once already today. Probably gonna do it a couple more times before bed."
For Chirico...this was Tuesday.

To be fair, Chirico was being sporting for staying _inside_ the AT as long as he did. Once it became apparent that no, his opponent still didn't stand a chance, he disregarded fairness and got out to shoot them personally.

Fun fact: The use of the pistol is partly a reference to a scene in Shining Heresy where Chirico accidentally manages to bounce a pistol shot into the cockpit of an enemy AT and hit it's pilot while he's passing out from injuries sustained from that pilot's attack.
Even more fun fact: The use of the pistol is literally a scene from the original VOTOMS TV series. Chirico's AT gets caught in a grapple with another, so he simply pops his canopy open and shoots the other pilot through the camera cluster.

Lesson learned: don't fuck with the Abnormal Survivor.
I like to imagine, against Granzamboa, that Chirico takes his Scopedog to the Anti-Spiral Homeworld on its forehead, gets out, and shoots the human-sized Anti-Spiral instead of Simon drilling it on foot.
That's exactly how it happened in SRW Z3.
In the grand Super Robot Wars Z tradition, Chirico finishes off enemy by popping the hatch, pulling out his pistol... And shooting them in the junk.

According to VOTOMs, Chirico is an abnormal survivor. It's a combination of two types of genetic immortality, ressurective AND probability. This is confirmed in the later OVAs series. Chirico can alter the probability of the universe to stay alive on the battlefield despite any logical outcome resulting in his death. He's been shot through the heart, survived a drop from orbit on an exploding space station, being nearly frozen at absolute zero, and was the ONLY survivor of an invasion force of 120 million. He is described as a human REGENERATIVE Tardigrade with the ability to manipulate probabilities like Domino from Deadpool. So... this isn't as impossible as you might think!

CHirico's Tengen Toppa Scopedog is being piloted by a Tengen Toppa Chirico using a Tengen Toppa Pistol which is controlled by Normal!Chirico
much more bad-ass if it's just normal size chirico. in the 'giant robot gets larger' arms race it's the little ones that beats the giants are the awesome ones

Honestly this move is really badass but the context makes it really funny almost every time with the lineup of what else is in this game.

Fast forward to two months ago, and we have Ange doing pretty much the same thing with her assault rifle.
HashiriyaR32 not as good as Chirico...far from it.
Then in 2018, Wataru does pretty much the same thing with an anime downward slash.
Then in 2019, Harlock does the same thing.
Needs to be a fanart of Sousuke wielding Chirico's Pistol as he uses it to blow out the Belial's back and destroys it.

Can someone remind me again why Votoms is considered a real robot show?
Because 99.9% of the battles rely on simple technology and piloting skill. Chirico is a literal battlefield god, and he is constantly getting shot down and beat up. It's balanced by him never getting the one thing he wants, a peaceful life to go with surviving.

Canonically I think that handgun counts as some sort of light anti-vehicle weapon. Those are some huge bullets he loads into it.

He only shows up in the two manga I mentioned. You can find the mangas on a site called Randomraws.
