Side note: notice how the music in each Bayverse film kind of evolves to the style of the next film like let’s say you watch AOE the music sounds very ancient and then you watch TLK and you hear medieval themes then you compare both soundtracks and you start noticing some of the music starts to slowly creep up into the next film’s soundtrack if any of this makes sense
Hmm haven't noticed before and that is a very neat detail whether intentional or not! Just another thing to make me love the music in these movies.
For me 2007 and ROTF were my main favourites and were very special to me, they're nostalgic, emotional and have some of the best action scenes and CGI that movies nowadays don't have.
Revenge of the Fallen had the best OST, the best trailers and TV spots, the best action scenes and can I just say some of the best toys too!

I remember watching the film in theatres on opening weekend with my mother and sister! The theatre was packed because people were there for Transformers, Twilight and I think Harry Potter? Lines were out in the alleyway! My theatre went nuts during the Forest Battle and dead quiet when Prime died... One person even yelling out "Again?".
Fun fact: During the classroom flip out Sam does briefly mention Sentinel Prime.
When watching the Sideswipe scene in theatres, right as Sideswipe said "Damn I'm good!" My mother embarrassingly said "Oh yeah you are baby!" To which a few laughs were heard in the theatre. 😂
I love The Fallen (Megatronus). He was underutilised though and even Michael Bay says so! During the Directors Commentary he mentions that he wanted the final battle between Prime, The Fallen and Megatron to be a lot longer. He also admits that the Triplets (Arcee, Elita-1 and Chromia) are underutilised too!
Megatron is an absolute beast! shrugging off shots, beefing up the kill count and surviving a charged shot from his own Fusion Cannon. He is only every treated poorly and talked down upon by Sentinel Prime. When it comes to The Fallen and Megatron they treat each other with equal respect.
Starscream has a more phlegmy sounding voice in RotF due to Charlie Adler being sick and they just stuck with it, I think I'm remembering that correctly? I do know he was definitely sick!
Devastator is a disappointment, could have been utilised a lot better, but oh well! 🤷

Oh! My absolutely favorite scene in the film is Megatrons resurrection.
It literally is the BEST Live-action Transformers movie and one of the best TF sequels. It's extremely well filmed and has great music and epic set-pieces and moments.
Love this movie. Was the first movie I had genuine hype for after seeing the first movie. Is it a perfect movie? Absolutely not but it’s a fun movie

I believe it’s overhated. Sideswipe is my favorite design. And I also didn’t see nothing wrong with The Twins . But when Mudflap called Leo a chia pet killed me😂
It for sure is! Sideswipe is one of the best designs from the Bayverse, I absolutely love him. Glad you agree with the Twins, and yeah Mudflap saying that was funny!
Yeah I thought they were funny. Never saw them as racist, but I could see how that could be assumed. Like Talon though I at least know they were meant as "wannabe gangster thug" types who didn't actually fit the demographic. They're like Jazz, raceless robots who learned and adopted Earth language and culture same as him and the others, just happened to be from the worst places in this case. Also Flatline messing up their brains, but that's comic lore.
Bayverse OT is incredibly solid imo. Not perfect, has flaws and issues, but does so many things right as well that people just gloss over.
Agreed! They make a real solid trilogy in my opinion, flaws and all.

The toy line and movie tying game are the reason why I have the most nostalgia towards this game.
I think if Skids and Mudflap were able to “read” Cybertronian, I bet the complaints and accusations of them being racist stereotypes wouldn’t be as severe. I spoke to one of the main designers for the Studio Series line, and unfortunately he told me that we might not see the Twins ever getting the SS remake treatment due to how controversial they are.
For sure! But to me even that is a bit silly because they weren't the only ones that couldn't read it. Wheelie and presumably Bumblebee couldn't either. But yeah I think you're right about that since it is one of the more commonly cited scenes. I figured the Twins hadn't been done yet in SS because of the controversy, really sucks because, for better or worse, they are a glaring ommission.
yeah later on you hear wheelie say he can't read ancient cybertronian too. Hell even the decepiticon goons in the dotm video game say that they cant read the ancient cyberglyths in the mirage mission. None of these are racist implications
Exactly! Plus they, or Skids at least, knew what the language was, they just couldn't read it. Same as just about everyone else in the movie.
Yeah I mean, the whole reason they went and woke Jetfire up was because NOBODY could read ancient Cybertronian, not just the Twins.
Hm, he said "might" not? That's not a definitive no... honestly I really think they shouldn't let the "controversy" stand in the way of giving fans a complete collection for ROTF. Devastator had testicles, but they still made his figure.
After that forest battle, movie could of shitted on my lap and slapped in the face and I'd still say it was the best movie ever. That battle had me geeking for so long. I memorized every hit.

Fantastic video. Crazy how big TF felt around this time. Sure, it didn't make as much money as say something like Endgame, but it just felt bigger. It was everywhere.

I really regret for hating this movie back in the days. But after seeing other Transformers movies nowaday like The Last Knight and Rise Of The Beasts, I start appriciate this movie more and more. Plus the toys from ROTF toyline are some of the best of the best that Hasbro has ever made. It's movies like this what I missed when I go the cinemas because there is actually some big anticaption for this movie and the amount are great for ROTF. Not only you have toys, they also have T Shirts, Colouring Books, Novels, Video Games, Popcorn Bucket, Happy Meal Toys, Soda Drink Cups, heck even in Book Stores, you can even buy some ROTF cards. There is a point in time where they're was the Golden Age for TF Movie fans. Sadly that was long time ago. Plus the merchandise and the hype leading up to ROTB I felt very lackluster and put no effort. I was hoping for the Human Alliance and Proper Leader Class To Return. Like a example Human Alliance Mirage with Noah Diaz, Human Alliance Bumblebee with Elena and Arcee, COME ONE Hasbro, that would be awesome. Or for Leader Class Scourge and Optimus, with Mech Alive and Lights & Sounds? Come On Hasbro, that would sell so well compare whatever Hasbro is doing now.
These movies, and especially Revenge of the Fallen, have fallen into the same area as Avatar; people hating on them because it's cool to hate them. So it good see more people defending them. I personality believe that all five are a lot better then most people give them credit for.
Agreed! Well, I don't like Avatar so I may not agree there, but still lmao. But yeah these movies are not the cinematic travesties that they are made out to be! Even The Last Knight, which is easily the worst of the five, isn't as bad as some say.

ROTF is my favorite outta all the movies, this was my first tf film I saw in theaters, and I agree the hate for rotf is overblown. Back in 2009 I had a tf themed party and received Leader Class Prime for that years Christmas, overall 2009 was peak for the tf franchise. I rewatched it so many times and still enjoy it. Back in 2018, this movie got me back to collecting tf again, well rotf had a majority of my favorite bots: Jolt, Jetfire, sideswipe, and the twins. This film inspired me to create my own tf project, well I haven't focused on this project since I have my own original project currently focused on. But overall ROTF had a great impact on my life 👍

I absolutely agree with you that this movie doesn't suck as much as everybody says. I don't think its my favorite movie of all time thats dark of the moon and transformers 2007, 1986 and bumblebee yes i have a Biased towards transformers 2007 over bumblebee i do agree that the robots in bumblebee look way better but i don't know i just think that transformers 2007 was better because i grew up with it. I don't care what anybody says "oH yOu PrFeR tHe AwFuL DeSiGnS oF tHe RoBoTs ThEn ThE G1 DeSiGnS In BuMbLeBeE" and to that i say "dude stop" i don't care what design of the transformers are what there fine in there own right end of story.
Fun fact about the Fallen himself. James Arnold Taylor (animated Obi-Wan, Ratchet from Ratchet and Clank) was supposed to voice the Fallen in the movie, and he even met with Michael Bay to record his dialogue. But unfortunately JAT's casting agency didn't ensure that he kept his role, and not even JAT knew about him being replaced by Tony Todd until pretty late (so needless to say, JAT isn't working with that particular casting agency anymore). On the plus side, he was still able to voice the Fallen in the ROTF games, which was probably left over from when he was still voicing in the movie.
I remember hearing about this! I think that I do prefer Tony Todd's voice in the finished film, but James Arnold Taylor had a fantastic voice in the ROTF game. I definitely wouldn't have been mad if they did end up going with him, he had a menace and intimidation to him, different from what Tony Todd had but still cool. I also remember hearing that Leonard Nimoy was at least considered to voice The fallen which lead to him being Sentinel Prime in DOTM.
I will always prefer Tony Todd's voice for The Fallen, but James Arnold Taylor's voice could have easily fit another of the Primes in my opinion.
Revenge of the Fallen earns my sympathy for being a rushed movie if the writers strike never happened I guarantee we would’ve gotten a much better movie even Michael Bay said he wanted it to be better and he even wanted the fight between Optimus and The Fallen to be much longer and speaking of The Fallen it’s so unfortunate that Tony Todd was underutilized he could’ve gone full blown Candyman as a Decepticon also about the Twins I never really had an issue with them but they are not my favorite characters I feel they’re more of a waste of time than racist I feel like Sideswipe and Arcee would’ve been much superior replacements on Bumblebee’s road trip to Egypt my mom thinks the Twins are hilarious though and she insisted I’d add the toys in my collection which I still have them but the DOTM versions this movie while it has heavy flaws people shouldn’t really bash it for it’s flaws they should appreciate it for at least *TRYING* to be a good movie
Yeah, the writers strike certainly did a number on this film. Tony Todd was good with what he had, but it is unfortunate that he didn't get more to do. Sideswipe, Arcee, or maybe even Jolt going with Sam would have been great. I do think that ROTF tries, it doesn't always succeed, but it is a fun time regardless.

Definitely overhated. The Forest Battle alone is enough to give this movie praise. Especially the IMAX version, which I am upset is NOT on the 4K release. From the Linkin Park song specifically made FOR THIS MOVIE, to the action, and comedy, and drama, this is an excellent sequel to an already amazing film.
Glad to know I'm not the only one who doesn't think that the twins were "racist", they're simply acclimating to some of earth's culture, much like Jazz and earth's music but nobody calls him racist. The twins just happen to like a different aspect of the culture and are goofballs.
But even more than that, im glad I'm not the only one who thinks Megatron's Design in ROTF is the best of all the movies. I wish he looked like that in the first film.
Yeah, I just can't take anyone that says that kind of stuff seriously. Dislike them if you want, but they weren't created with any malice and are way overblown. Its dumb!

Seriously though if the budget of the film was a bit more then we would have gotten a differen final battle as Michael bay said in an interview that he wanted to make the battle between Optimus and The Fallen longer and more brutal but due to budget we ended up with this. I could understand with some of the humour problems like the dog doing that and some of leo but still i enoyed the humor, i wish that megatron and optimus could fight 1v1 properly before it became 3v1 like the animatics.
A nice 1v1 with Optimus and Megatron would have been great!

I don’t care what anyone says, I love ROTF, the TF community doesn’t speak for all of us, I loved this movie growing up and I even believe the original bay trilogy to be the strongest in bayverse, and yes, I will say this, the Fallen is a way better villain than quintessa. Design is cooler, just their presence alone is better. it’s super nostalgic for me looking back at this movie and the absolute hype for it growing up after seeing the first one. I don’t care what people say this movie is awesome, the fallen was so strong for a reason, prime got the upper hand because of jetfires parts, that speaks alone to the sheer strength the fallen needed against him alone. I never understood this argument that he’s not a formidable enemy. He definitely is. I actually liked all the human characters in this despite that being enough to send those over the edge about it. This movie is just an absolute spectacle and fun, the biggest thing people miss the point of with these movies is they are fun, maybe someday I’ll make my own review/defense of this film because it honestly gets overhated but that can be said about the movie franchise in general. Thank you Talon for this video, we need more people speaking highly and positive about it.

When I was a kid, this was my least favorite because Bumblebee wasn't in it much, and he's my favorite, but now that I'm older, I appreciate this movie because it's genuinely amazing to me.
Optimus' upgraded form is also jus' beautiful.

Funny thing, when I was younger, I misunderstood some of the scenes back then.
In the forest fight I thougt that Starscream killed Optimus, because I had ( I still have it) the DOTM toy from him and he had this war scythe as weapon. I was dumb back then. Today I knew it was Megatron.

I didn't see the second C and thougt it was an original charakter. But it would be cool if we had a charakter with the design in the future with the name Insection.
The humor didn't bother me at the time, but when I look at the film today I have to laugh at a few jokes. Especially in the scene where Soundwave says: „Where is the boy". 😂
I like violent Optimus to, Megatron has the best quotes in the movie, Simmons is one of the best human charakters ever and the Bayverse has the best Constucticon and Devestator designs. I was never a fan of the Yellow/purple Minecraft looking body designs from the G1 Constucticons.

I'm always glad to see people who like the Bay movies! They have their issues but they really are not as bad as they are made out to be. I gotta poke fun at those types of fans, Geewunners or just haters in general. That Insecticon toy is super cool and its awesome that they made a toy of a character and design that wasn't onscreen much. A lot of the jokes land for me, so I'm right there with you! Megatron does have some great lines and violent Optimus is way overheated. Can't wait to discuss him in his own video! Bay Constructicons are easily the best in my mind, so much cooler than the G1 or G1-based looks from other versions.

Since we are now officially in the year of 2024, TRANSFORMERS FRANCHISE WILL BE CELEBRATING BIG ANNIVERSARIES THIS YEAR!!!!! To start off the overall Transformers franchise will be celebrating its 40th anniversary, Transformers 2 Revenge of the Fallen will be celebrating its 15th anniversary, and Age of Extinction will be celebrating its 10th anniversary!!!!!!
I’m going to be honest here I actually like all the transformers films well besides the tlk I actually didn’t like that one when I saw it in theaters.
Me too! I think TLK is easily the weakest one but I even like bits of that one.
Yeah I wish tlk was better because I like what age of extinction set up for galvatron and the creators but never happened.

Having watched this movie at least once, I do agree that it is overhated. I do like the action as always in this film and it took me a long time to figure out that the Star Harvester element took inspiration from the G1 episode "Changing Gears". I did quite enjoy this film, only my problems with the film are that it felt rushed and I couldn't find a theme that fits its story.

15 YEARS AGO TODAY TRANSFORMERS 2 REVENGE OF THE FALLEN premiered in the UK and it won’t premiered in the US until June 24th!!! Which means that this coming up Monday will be the official 15th ANNIVERSARY OF TRANSFORMERS 2 REVENGE OF THE FALLEN!!!!!

"It's a thing called character development that you people say these movies don't have" made me actually laugh out loud! Still making my way through this video but had to comment on that.

Awesome video. As usual, I agree with pretty much everything you said. I blame this one on the writer's strike. People don't know how much that fucked things up. If paramount had just allowed the release date to be pushed back, even just a few months or even a whole year, this could have been the best action movie of all time. Bay used his time filling the film with things that were awesome (robots) and some things that weren't awesome (improvisational toilet humor and reused shots), however even the awesome new robots we got (like you, I feel this was the golden age of creativity for the franchise aesthetically) were not given the space to be developed, because half of them probably weren't even in the script! But man, the action delivers so hard on this one. Some of the coolest transformers action we might ever see on screen. Ever. And really the story is pretty damn good. It just needed a little more time in the oven. I think this one could also benefit from a fan edit, just to trim some of the unnecessary stuff (even some of the unnecessary stuff that's really cool). Oh also, I really like the "alternate" ending where it turns out the fallen was tricking megatron. It makes more sense as to why megatron was following him the whole time, which isn't explained in the film really.
Yeah the writer's strike definitely did a number on this movie. It honestly should have been pushed back even a little bit like you said. ROTF, to me, has so much potential I honestly think that it could have been a genuinely fantastic film if it had been made under better circumstances. It still has it's awesome moments though, even if they are mixed in with things that aren't great. I miss the creativity in designs that we had in this time, it was so good! The action is great, the forest battle holds up as one of my favorite action scenes ever. I'm glad you like the story too because it definitely has a lot going for it despite needing to be fleshed out more. I really don't understand people who say that the story is "bad". A fan edit would certainly be interesting and I'd definitely watch it! That bit with The Fallen tricking Megatron should have been left in. I don't mind things as is but it would have added that little extra bit to both Megatron and The Fallen and helped those who took issue with Megatron being so loyal to him.

Unpopular Opinion but I loved this movie, yeah sure this movie has a lot of issue such as The generic sex joke, the annoying twins getting more screentime than the most useful popular Autobots on the team, Fallen being underused as the main villain, Simon showing his butt in front of our screen and Devastator’s Balls Joke (Funny and Ironic that a lot of people have huge issues with these scene but stayed silent on Hulk’s butt being shown In Thor Ragnarok, Deadpool’s Butt also shown in Deadpool the movie, The Prima Nocta Reference from Braveheart in Age of Ultron, The Ralph Boener’s Joke and other corny and unnecessary jokes in other superhero media but yet they throw a fit when Michael Bay’s made a joke, it's ridiculous.)
But this movie has a lot of wonderful and engaging such as Optimus asking help from Sam, Jetfire sacrificing his lives for Optimus To fight against the decepticons, The Decepticons being horrifying and creepy (I loved that Aircraft carrier scene, Ravage and reedman, Alice the pretender being creepy ), THE Shanghai battle scene (The scene with ironhide transforming while the camera is doing the 360 will forever give me goosebumps and chills, you don’t see this much in the future transformers movies) Bumblebee being my favorite badass autobots once again
At the end of the day, the movie isnln’t meant to be a Oscar contender films like The Godfather, Citizen Kane or whatever, it's just a mindless blown action movies plus despite this movie getting a lot of hates and words saying “This movie has done an irreplaceable damage on the transformers franchise”

Sorry, for my long review of this comment, I couldn’t stress how much I enjoyed this movie, Im really glad I found a youtube channel who shares the same interest as I do. I thought I am the only person in the world who enjoyed these movies😂

I have such a complicated relationship with this film. On one hand a lot of its contents are antithetical to what I enjoy about transformers. Few of the robot characters are fleshed out and have anything to do, the fallen was a disappointing villain and the designs aren’t my favorite (except sideswipe, he’s just about perfect the only thing that would make me like him more was if he was red)
However, I have to admit I respect the creative process and production of this one a lot more than a lot of other films. This one had so much going against it, the writers strike, constant leaks, the studio being unwilling to change the release date to make production easier on the crew. It should have been terrible, it should’ve been a flop. And it wasn’t, sure it has some interesting choices, geography errors that a fifth grader could point out and like other bay films the most crass and immature humor imaginable (I hated its brand of comedy even at 13) . But, it’s a fun watch, it keeps you engaged, it’s easy to follow, has some really good character and plot beats when you expect there to be none and it’s an insane technical marvel. Just Devastator alone is one of the most impressive feats of CGI ever and it’s not talked about enough. My least favorite character design in the whole franchise and it looks amazing on the screen and the mere fact that they pulled off a cg model that complex with only one computer trashed is nothing short of amazing.
Revenge of the Fallen will never be my favorite transformers film, but ill never be able to say I hate it, it’s the first one I watched in theaters and i respect the journey it took to make it. It’s for sure over hated, and it’s over hated by people who don’t respect the creative process at all or the uphill battle fought to even make this film.
I never understood the “twins are racist” thing. If you’re the one connecting two robots talking and acting like goofballs to dark skinned people I don’t the twins are the ones being racist. They are pretty funny though.

I did not know that this was the most overhated movies of all time lmao, I Remember as a child being so hyped up about it and begging my father to watch it, I'll never forget the chills and goosebump of seeing my favorite heroes Ironhide transforming on the big screen, Optimus taking down Grindor, Megatron and starscream (to this day its still broke my heart seeing optimus getting stabbed to death by megatron but I'll never forget the goosebump and chills when he rose from the grave and beat the crap out of the fallen and take off his face, plus that scene did not scare me because the fallen had it coming since he destroyed everything and almost destroyed humanity and bumblebee taking down rampage)
While this movie's plot in my opinion does not aged very well, its still hold a special place in my heart. I'll never forget the happy feeling of young me getting the action figures such as Battle Cannon Bumblebee (Sadly I destroyed it), Thrust (I also destroyed it), Sideswipe (I destroyed it) and The Ice Cream( I still have it lmao)and making stop motion videos.
Btw Speaking of This movie's impact on the transformers' franchise, not only the 7th prime influenced the plot of Transformers prime where there was 13 prime, I think the whole Jetfire thing being a decepticons also impacted the netflix transformers series called "War For Cybertron: Siege" Where Jetfire was actually a decepticon but decided to change side with the autobots.
Crazy that the most hated movie in the transformers franchise still impacted the franchise lmaoooo.

While the movie had a bit too much characters I feel a movie with a runtime of this big would help flesh out everyone out. But instead the time was wasted on Sam pointless college life and comical reliefs. Also which characters do you think has the most potential?
I honestly don't think there is too much time wasted on Sam's college life. the only time it really drags, at least for me, is when the parents are there. Otherwise it is either him showing up or having problems with the Cybertronian symbols in random places like the party or in astronomy. I do agree with the sentiment though, cut out the fluff and give a bit more time to the characters.
As for which characters have the most potential, I think definitely The Fallen. With even just a little more screentime and a better final battle I think he would have been an excellent villain, but of course some more character would have helped too. Devastator is another with a similar issue of needing more screen time and a better battle.
@@Talon_Productions Because Michael bays spent too much money on fancy cars and time needlessly overcomplicating the designs than telling a compelling story about a eons old war between alien robots and how that effects human history. The reason sideways died so quick is because Audi licensing issues when the easy solution is to get a different vehicle for him. Or tone down the amount of detail on the robots so we can see more of them.
@clowny poundy The cars could definitely be on him but I wouldn't say that the designs are 100% on him. Plus I love the complicated and hyper-detailed designs we got so for me I definitely don't mind there. Even if Sideways was a vehicle other than an Audi he wasn't going to be around for long if both the novel and comic adaption are anything to go by so the licensing issues didn't seem to have too big an impact aside from cutting a proper fight with Sideswipe. For better or worse some characters just aren't going to get as much screentime or have as much to do.
I don’t care what anyone says I love this film. It’s what made me love these movies in the first place. This film as well as AOE are the most hated transformer films from what I’ve seen in the fandom. I can’t believe that people found the twins racists. They might be a stereotype but racists? What race are they even dehumanizing? I find that hard to believe. The transformer designs are amazing especially the constructicons. A lot of people say that some of the designs are “silly” when it comes to Hightower and Scavenger but to me very unique and cool. It’s great to see some designs that isn’t just bipedal like most if not all g1 designs. I love Devastator in this film. Yeah that’s a very controversial take but I do not care. His design and well as the arcee triplets are the most overhated transformer designs. “He looks like a dog” or “He’s just Kirby”. I’ve seen some of those complaints on Instagram but I love his sheer massive size and the fact that he’s a big monster that is formed from 8 robots or more if you count those unnamed bots that were present. I feel like this movie would’ve benefited more if it explained or even showed stuff. Like how did the sun harvester get inside the pyramid? Who moved it there after the primes made a tomb of there own bodies? And when? Do you know if the Rotf comics explains this Talon? Anyways its great to see someone who loves this film and the others as well.
I'm with you on basically everything! ROTF and AOE are way over-hated, as are the Twins, calling them racist is just dumb. I love the designs too, so many that are unique and just all around cool looking! This Devastator is my favorite, he just looks like a monster capable of destruction. As for the Sun Harvester, its not explained but the idea is that the Egyptians just built the pyramid over the Harvester.

I have an answer to the supposed plot hole of "why didn't they just resurrect Optimus with the AllSpark shard?" It's because Optimus's body was in possession of NEST, and there was no way Sam could get to him without being captured by the FBI/CIA and handed over to the Decepticons. Certainly not with Galloway in charge.
I like this a lot and it makes sense, my biggest thing though is that shouldn't really effect the use of the Allspark shard. Because in that case they could have just used that in Egypt instead of hunting for the Matrix and relying on that.
@@Talon_Productions The only reason why they were in Egypt was because Jetfire teleported them there. And the only reason why Jetfire did that was because Sam revived him with the AllSpark shard. Once they used it on Jetfire it was just gone, like the shard that resurrected Megatron.
The writers strike ruined some of this movies potential the beginning was extremely good beginning, but then it got crazy and the ending was way too quick

This is my conclusion of the film: it's a great tragedy to me because you get a lot of AWESOME stuff throughout the runtime alongside with a pretty cool plot idea which would have made another great explody awesome blockbuster sequel, but it gets 'ruined' by the horrid scenes sprinkled throughout the movie that Bay thought was funny, and these scenes are what ruined the reputation of the entire film itself which makes it tragic. For me the film is amazing if you were to delete most of the shit like some of the pretender scenes and wheelie humping someone's leg and replace it with scenes that give Jolt and the Arcee squad more screentime.
The skids and mudflap characters arent as racist as people make them out to be just like with jazz, but i wont lie their faces due strike a resemblance to the blackface stereotype, but even with that if the film came out around 2020 the people complaining about the characters would be seen as the dumb SJWs they are, cuz funny thing is the transformers franchise has actually had more racist moments than skids and mudflap alone.
Also soundwave is pretty underrated in this film he carried the decepticon faction
That is completely fair! I don't mind a lot of those scenes but with so many of them it can get to be a bit much. Jolt and Arcee having more screen-time would be great, I honestly wish that had happened. With Skids and Mudflap and their possible design similarities to those stereotypes I honestly feel like tht is just people looking for a resemblance. Like I guess I can see a resemblance when it is pointed out but I highly doubt that the design intent was to have them resemble those depictions so I just don't buy it personally. I'm with you though, the franchise has had worse like did a\everyone forget Carbombya from G1? The thing that legit made a voice actor leave the show?
Also agreed on Soundwave, he is great and I think the satellite is the best modern version of the character that we've gotten with only the Prime version coming very close.

Well i get why most of people like this movie.
But i just... not.
For me it's really cringy, messy movie.
And i will *NEVER* forgive writers for what they've done to Megatron.
Honestly, i find the first, the third, and even the fourth movie a lot more enjoyable than this one.
I mean hey the movie isn't gonna be for everyone! What is it about Megatron that bothers you?
