Let me correct you because I see this mistake again and again.
Convergent evolution is when two unrelated species develop similar features, like how both insects and crustaceans both develop pincers or how both fishes and dolphins both developed fins.
One species evolving in different ways is DIvergent evolution (or simply split-evolution).
I think it would be really cool if they do a zorua style reveal for each of the starters separately. So like (hypothetically) one trailer for Snivy, one for Scorbunny, and another one for Piplup. Possible tease for the type of their final forms (if they do regional forms(

i think is logical that they give mega to the new forms, for the fact that they will not have to give the mega to the other 2 starters of the trio

They lost me at elemental monkeys evolving into a 3rd form. They aren’t going to give an evolution to a mon that evolved via a stone. The most they can do is buff their stats and give them better moves/megas.
They evolved Dipplin, a Pokémon that was already an item evolution. I’d say anything is possible
@@tunkerdunker Happiny also requires to level up holding a unique item to evolve...THEN evolves again via Friendship. There's no hard rule for an item evo mon to not evolve further

Giving them a new evolution and then a mega makes a little sense. Considering it’s the same Pokémon using a Mega stone made for their species.

I know this is a day over a week late to comment but I must say I do not agree with the starter choices. We already had gen 5 and gen 7 in PLA so if they do randoms again I doubt they'd choose from 5+7 again and. Personally I'd prefer the use of the actual Kalos starters to give them their rightfully deserved megas that weren't in gen 6.
Now as for the element monkey's I can't say I hated them. They were unique tbh and while they had their 1st n 2nd forms separate unlike Eevee I kind of wished they could've become similar in that eventually there'd be a monkey for multiple types like Eevee. So I would welcome a new 3rd form gratefully. (Tho I've heard a rumor that Charcadet may be the new Eevee where new armor sets are introduced in future gens).

hi ruffled, you don't need to be worried about this rumor. Sensage, Senpour and sensear are the most hated pokemon on the planet, i promise they won't get a new mega's. also incineraze has horrable typing, nobody would prefer incineraze over incineroar. And i think time-travel will be used in these games, because it was in the Original legend arceus, and because all pokemon games have part of the previous generation and then a set of new pokemon for the new game (it's basicly time-travel without the visuals)

Please, dont give piplup new evolution forms! I love empoleon the way it is! Just give him mega evolution. Water/steel is one of the most unique dual typing specially throughout all the starters. 🥹 Please just give them the classic evolution just add mega to them
I agree that overall steel is fantastic defensively but unfortunately his mates Torterra and Infernape gain additional typings that mess steel up pretty bad
@@duyanhpham9227 it doesnt matter if torterra or infernape has an advantage over empoleon. I am not picking him just to counter the other two sinnoh starters. I want him as it is, i love infernape and torterra too. Sinnoh starters are my favorite.
I just want megas for all starter generations. It’s kinda dumb to just skip around imo. Gen 2 starters are my biggest want to get megas and I got a good feeling we ain’t getting that

In other games of pokemon their is an advantage of pokemon with megas like pokemom go and etc.. their stat is higher than the normal starters who doesnt have megas which is kinda lame and sad for those who love them.
@@08aldrin80 exactly, creating megas for all starters is a genius marketing strategy for them to want people to come play. Starters are some of if not the most popular Pokémon for a reason. It also just really annoys me that the Gen 1 and 3 starters got megas and Gen 2 got skipped lol.
Hopefully if they do remakes for the johto games either before or after legends ZA we might get more megas then too
