- Mike Drop Podcast Episode 51: Mike Glover - The Fieldcraft Survival Expert - Former Green Beret, CIA Contractor, Owner of Fieldcraft Survival
The inspiration that comes from speaking with real life heroes is impossible to quantify. I continue to be humbled by the caliber of individuals that are willing to share their story with me. In sitting down with former green beret/unit member and owner of Fieldcraft Survival, Mike Glover, I continue to be amazed. After 20 years of service to this country in the highest of capacities, we talk about his experience as tomb guard, green beret, and consummate badass. More importantly, we talk about how those experiences shaped who he is and how he brings that knowledge to your everyday citizen through his company, Fieldcraft Survival.

I can’t wait to dig into this one ☝🏻 I know it’s going to be top notch!
Hell yea dude Glover is badass
I'm on my way over to your pod cast with Mike now because the guy was very intriguing.
@dustin jones this asking for advice that tells me you are probably already doing it. You don't have to harness them all the time man, sometimes you've got to let it out, there is never any shame in that. I wish you the best man, god bless.
dustin jones I went through almost the same situation. Sounds like you’re the glue holding it all together. Just be kind to everyone including your brother, & when look back on this one day, you won’t have any regrets. Do something positive for yourself everyday. Exercise helps so much with depression. I’m praying for you & your family. 🙏
dustin jones Prayers for you young man! Hang in there, I'm sure your father is proud of you. Letting your emotions show doesn't make you any less of a man.
Talk about a guy that's been there and done it! This man has been a part of or close to every major military interdiction in the last 20 yrs absolutely incredible
Golden era
This dude is a great story teller. I could visualize everything with the k9 story.
I have a Bell ma he's best dog I ever had love the story about chewing the leg of terrorist in tunnel
Man,the story on the dogs hit me hard. God bless those furry warriors 🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸
I've Seen All Of Mike Glover's Interviews On Various Podcasts, And He Always Delivers. Great Episode!
Awesome podcast! Army Ranger, Green Beret, Delta Force, and CIA. It doesn’t get any better than that.
Dont forget hes a tombs guard
Technically he wasn’t a Ranger, he got fucked out of being one
@@Justin_GFM true, he does have the ranger badge, but never deployed cuz of etc..
Glyph Suritos A Ranger tab and a Ranger scroll are two completely different things. The tab is from Ranger school which is a leadership course and the scroll is what you get when you complete RASPS
@@GarrettH-rl7ml I mean I don’t think he’s too worried he became a green beret and delta I think that beats being a ranger by a long shot
It's like an Army/Navy surplus store but with actual content. Great episode.
RIP VINNY
Mike, you have a super great memory. Thanks for sharing.
I serve in SIG CO 5TH SFG back in 1975-1981.
While you was doing all that I was born a year later lolol
@@markoneill8188 jajaja
Holy crap! Yesterday I tuned in to Apache Helicopter Pilot Emily's unnerving panoply of her life...I'm thinking how is the particular podcast topped? How can anyone else match the nerve core of her story?
Bang! Mike Glover's enthralling friggin' brutal recollections of time in Afghanistan and Iraq, and in particular his telling of the saga of Vinnie...and the American flag covering the dead Mal's body...Man, oh man...Rudyard Kipling's, The Power of the Dog, first stanza goes like...'There is sorrow enough in the natural way from men and women to fill our day; And when we are certain of sorrow in store, why do always arrange for more? Brothers and Sisters, I bid you aware of giving your heart to a dog to tear.'...so, thank you Mr. Ritland for keeping the genuine pressure on... in this monster podcat.
Watched this after Vigilace Elite's interview. Both qualty in both their own way. Motivating AF.
Mike Glover, truly a warrior with a humble demeanor. I am honored to hear his story....
Mike- "if you have to hide to do your job your doing it wrong"
Snipers- "WTF"
After following Fieldcraft for a while, it's great to hear Glover's nitty gritty. Straight killers, great stuff, thanks men.
My Tomb Guard brother. Line Six! From Badge #162...
"I THINK I BLEW THAT GUY'S LEG OFF" ... savage.
Libs:he had rights
It's so easy to watch this guy on a podcast and forget that the person talking is literally one of the best killers to ever live.
We are talking about the best of the best of of one of the best fighting forces to ever exist.
I can't even begin to appreciate how difficult it must have been to adjust to retired life
Peace & Love from a South Texas Girl. My family has been in Texas for more than 200 years. My 4th Great Grandfather fought in the Civil War. My Father was in the Army. Love you guys and thank you all for your service.
I lost 24 marines in Lima company, I know what this brother is going through. Keep this man in your prayers!
Thank you Mike and Mike for your sacrifices and service. Awesome interview and information.
Wow Mike Glover is my new instant hero... I can hear him talk about war all day absolutely is an unbelievable hero is a totally cool guy... Mike Glover, thank you for your service and stories, Mike Ritland absolutely fabulous so much for having him on
As I am on a road trip I couldn’t wait. I had to play it through the Bluetooth and lay the phone down. Man what a hell of a podcast!!!!!! Thank you for the entertainment and helping passing the time on the road!
I LOVED hearing about the military working dogs in the podcast! Thank you for sharing. I have a Belgian Mal and it was very excited to hear about what they can do.
Agreed! We don't hear much about this aspect & these dogs don't get half the credit they deserve!
More exposure on how the dogs are effected by PTSD post deployment / service is something that needs touched on! Sadly, many or most of these dogs (I assume) are unable to live normal lives afterwards & what is the contingency plan to deal with this, or is there even one?
I have seen Mike Glover here and there on YT but did not know the depth of his service. Mind blowing! Thank you for your sacrifice for the American people both then and now. Sharing your training experience is invaluable. Another great pod cast!
Mike Glover is fuckin awesome. His pistol grip video is by far the best one Ive seen. Would love to train with him. Ritland is one cool interviewer. RIP Vinny 🇺🇸. Teared me up as a dog lover and owner of 4 dogs. Unconditional love and loyal to the end. 🇺🇸
The best mike glover interview I’ve seen! I could listen to him to talk for hours.
Being articulate is key to communication. Absolute role models.
Thank you Mike and Mike!
Amazing interview. Thank you to both of you for all your service and sacrifice 🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸
Ritland's intro - always great.
Mike and Mike gets an immediate "like."
Loved This episode. Insane stories, This dude is the real deal.
htothejay MFDFB
Truly one of the best podcasts! Mike Glover was 100% spot on about rural America, coming from a fellow rural American! Thank you for another phenomenal I can’t even believe that was 3 1/2 hours podcast!
I’m so very grateful to both of you for your service and the service of your fellow comrades. This podcast is probably the best I’ve ever listen to, both from an interviewer’s standpoint and from an interviewee.
Thank you both.
Great podcast today. I started following Mike after watching him on one of Shawn's podcasts. You are both down to earth and practical and this 2nd amendment supporting grandma is proud to know you are out there!
Yep, i shed a few tears with the dog (Vinny) story! Mans best friend...Up the dogs 👍✊ WOOF
Wish I could meet Glover, solid guy. True American. Thank you both for your service. God bless
Shoutout to Vinny ❤️ I have a German Shepard and I can’t seem to work him enough. As a working breed I’m sure Vinny lived a very fulfilling life. Y’all are American heroes 👍🏼
He’s 100% talking about David Goggins when he mentions “well known former Navy SEAL and ultra marathon runner” who wasn’t selected for Delta because he wasn’t a team player... surprise surprise
The Kids Nice What?! Before I pull this apart and TIME stamp shit and prove this wrong, please inform me on this more. How did these dots connect?
Shaquille Nuku Huh? The fuck are you bitching about?
1:35:20 is where it starts
1:36:32 is where he answers the question
The Kids Nice You actually are as stupid as I thought. Those “time stamps” doesn’t mean jack shit you clown, I referenced time stamping in the context of when where they are both active in the military you dipshit. I’m still waiting for your “proof” that he is referring to David. I’ll wait,
Oh and please also tell me how your then able to judge his lack of “team” player characteristics enough for you to think you have done better to make a smart ass comment? I’ll also love to hear this reply. However, don’t reply if your going to ridicule him and pick apart interviews to suit your narrative. Guide me to a press release, a referral of someone who says your the team player that is better than David...I’ll wait,
Then also tell me why there is a fucking platoon sized former SEALS team who do ultra marathons and triathlons once a month to raise money for those families who lost their SEALS. Also tell me how out of a platoon size former SEAL team there are 4 who tried for the unit and failed and somehow it’s not them?.... let’s roll fuck wit, like I said I’ll pick you apart here you little grub
Top 3 podcasts I've ever watched. Absolutely enlightening. Thank you to both parties.
Hey Mike...as a former 03-Marine and a son on active duty as an 03-Marine I appreciate you tipping your hat and the recognition . I enjoy your channel....great work!!!!
Mike you make life better for everyone that listens to these interviews. Keep up the good work brother. George Washington is smiling upon your patriotic work and your amazing guests.
Im a licensed HAM now because of Glover. Thank you for your service Sir.. both before and after FCS, ive learned a TON from your channel
This. Man is a complete package, glad he is alive and well and thanks...
In my opinion the best guest and interview to date. Mike you are such an in incredibly talented interviewer. Every question and answer is just riveting. My second fav guest and interview was Clark Impastato.
I watched every bit of this interview....absolutely fascinating. What a compelling story Mike.
ABSOLUTELY! The story about Vinnie was touching as fukkk!!!
God" bless Mike Glover and continue to uphold" his heart mind and soul .
Love Glover, always honest and a great dude.
Thank you Mike for your positive reinforcement, you will never know how dark of a place you pulled me out of, you say exactly what I need to hear to keep going. Keep doing what you do! And thank you for talking about TBI
Thank You for a great podcast. I have a large respect for mike glover. Thank You all.
Awesome Pod cast, Mike when talking about Benghazi, for you to kept your composure over what the witch failed to do, God Bless You
This is easily the best podcast out there.
I love the variety of guests he brings on. Mike Ritland, Joe Budden, and Joe Rogan have the best podcasts no doubt
Awesome choice of a person to have on the podcast!!! The 2 most badass mikes on the planet!!
Mike, first thank you for your service. Thank you for bringing the unique stories of American hero’s including there family members into the public light. I hope that this SF community of pod casters that you are a part of, continues to lead a grass roots education for the Patriotic Spirit of America. The thing that stands out to me the most is how articulate, passionate and clear you are as a moderator. That in turn draws out like responses from your guests. Keep it up. Thank you.
Such a well
Spoken dude. Have listened to this a few times now
This is my favorite episode yet. I have my friends watching now.
Fantastic interview. Thank you both for your service. Thank you for sharing.
Super thankful that Glover defines all the acronyms. Great interview
Mike Glover is one of the men who sharpen the tip of the spear! Great podcast as always Mike!
Couldn't have been a better podcast thanks Mike and Mike and thank yall for your service 🇺🇸
First off thank you for your service and sacrifice! Without folks like you and your guests America wouldent be! But love the podcast its always a good listen, and good stories! Godbless and keep the good content rollin sir!
Thank you Mike Ritland- you continue to bring valuable content to the masses. Keep up the stellar work.
Great show, glad to see you get some SF guys on your show. I think you having Pat Mac on your show to get more CAG stories out there.
Mike, I just recently discovered your pod cast. 31 years in State level Law Enforcement and recently retired. Your topics and interviews are greatly appreciated. Great work.
1:23:01 this! Dogs who have zero sense of self preservation are special. RIP Vinny!
Mike your podcasts are superb. I dont know what anyone sees in Joe Rogan who's a crashing bore for me! I am totally appreciative of the professionalism and sharp interviewing that you, Shawn Ryan, Mike Glover, et al--give your audiences. Keep it up! You all are the best!
I am in awe and have such a feeling of respect for my Daddy right now. I say "Daddy" because after 27 years of both serving as a US Army Ranger and Special Operations Green Beret. He survived physically from years in Vietnam. But sadly not emotionally. Listening to this podcast and factually actually hearing directly from similar experiences he had survived gives me such Empathy for him. And such respect for him. It is so healing. I'm now 49 and finally healing from my own personal PTSD which I can now admit is a result of my Father's Service. I've been researching the exact Company's my Father actually served. This has been a healing and interesting journey. Thank you for honesty and most importantly your Kick Ass Service! Hoo-Rah Boy's!
Great episode! It felt like learning military secrets with units I never knew existed. Mike G has done so much, most folks would consider it an achievement to accomplish a part of his mitary career, just amazing. I heard Mike first on Shawn Ryan's podcast and have been checking out his IG and RUclips channel. Excellent content. Thanks to both Mikes for your amazing service to our country.
This was an excellent episode.
Excellent interview, with a fascinating guest. Thank you both!
I’ve watched this video over 3 days in the way to work. Great. This man is humble
Great interview. Thanks to both of you for your service. Love Mike Glovers Fieldcraft channel and enjoying Mike Ritland interviews. This was one of the best. A big shout out to both of you from Utah.
Half way through and another stellar show. This guys career path is something else.
This guy has absolutely maximized his time here in this experience. I sure hope his next experience is much more pleasant & he is rewarded for all of his sacrifices!
@@LTSRIDE24 very well put
Glover Brother, tell it like the FK it is. You are spot on. Thank you for ALL you have done Brother. You are speaking for Many of us!!!🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸
I think MG is my spirit animal.
This is your best pod yet man!! Mike is awesome when he tells his story's, I can paint a very good picture!
Absolutely. Mike has a man on his staff that is an amazing interview also & I may be mistaken, but I think his name is Kevin... I can't remember his last name, my apologies!
Not as romantic as Shawns podcast but this one seems more informative
Mike always has the most detailed podcasts out of the top ones I listen to: Jocko, JRE and now Shawn Ryans
MIKE Is a far better interviewer
Mike is also aided by the fact that he's never met Glover. The lack of a relationship prior enhances his curiosity. Add to that the fact that he's a WORLD CLASS interviewer and it's going to be a treasure trove.
Both were great but this one had far more content
Each serves a different viewpoint. Both are incredible interviewers. Let’s not “compare” them!! Two different dudes two different styles!! RAH 🇺🇸
what I love about this show is the seriousness. A bit of sarcasm and joking can go a long way and Mike is great about striking the right balance.
This is probably the best podcasts I have ever listened to. Thank you both for your honesty, conversation and dialog. You guys are the real heroes. Thank you for your service and all you both do..
I do feel like Robert O'neil would be a great conversation.
Something about that guy that just doesn't feel right. Don't trust him one bit & I wish I could pinpoint why.
Damn mike R your passion and love for war dogs really comes out in this interview
Huge supporter of both mikes think they are solid dudes with solid products an services thanks brothers 👊
I have watched this podcast 3 times now.(My Army bias) Mike Glover is a soldiers soldier!
I can't get enough war dog stories.
This was my first time watching Mike Drop but I turned it on after watching MG on a few other vids and podcasts and have to say this was the best interview with MG yet. Effortless back and forth interaction and great questions and responses.
I never served and therefore never been in combat. However, I live vicariously through the books written about the wars and this freaking podcast is as good as any book I've ever read. The story abut the firefight that killed the dog and the way all the most bad ass operators in the world came out to salute that dog gave me goosebumps all over ! Amazing stories and a great podcast
I wish my wife would introduce me like that! The top podcast on RUclips! Thanks Mike
This man - In awe - So much respect - Top of the top 🇺🇸💯⭐
One of your best podcast Mike, great work
I was astounded by 1:45. This dude has done stuff that shadows anything I thought I’ve done or thought I’ve done. Just incredible
Amazing podcast. This guy is the real deal.
Mike , your podcast is easily the best that is out there, the others are great,Jocko,Shawn,Brandon TNQ etc but you are a top notch interviewer and get awesome stories and info from your guests.Outstanding content.
First, Mike you are AMAZING with your understanding of all dogs not just the war dogs and I'm really glad you guys talked about the hero dogs, and I don't use the term "hero" often especially all vets, war fighters are a very special breed but those dogs are HEROES!!!
Mike, this podcast is a gem! Thanks man. Some serious Drop by two Mikes right there
It’s cool how Mike Ritland lights up when he starts talking about being a guard at the tomb of the unknown soldier. You can tell he was really interested
Mr Glover is the definition of high speed!! Godspeed sir!
Mike Glover and Mike Ritland are two RANK Dudes!!! Badass storytelling here guys. Thank ya for sharing them
Clark Impastato is still my #1 Mike Drop Episode lol If I would’ve ever been able to serve I’d hoped Clark would’ve been in my training and teams! 🇺🇸🗽🐸🇨🇱
One of the best podcasts i've heard Mike give
Rip Vinny!!! Another American K9 hero
Thank you for serving our great nation! 🇺🇸
Ur welcome......😂
There's a video of a tomb guard who gets speared through the foot by a bayonet during rifle inspection and he just barely flinches, then finishes the guard change step for step with his foot oozing blood.
