Man... Your voice was so addicting to listen to when you had the Ethos. Blows the shure sm7b out of the muddy waters it resides in.

Thanks for the compliment, it's the SM7b killer for "sure", WAY more clear and articulate.

Thanks, it's a really impressive piece of engineering! I threw it in my suitcase and took it to Pennsylvania to show off to clients and colleagues during visit with family.

In my cans (DT770pro), felt like it went from “warm and full” at your desk to dull and soulless in your booth.

Small booths will never sound as good as larger rooms.

Could use a bit of High-Mids and maybe some 9k, Sounds very natural though.

Yes, these mics err on the side of "flat" and can usually benefit from a high-shelf EQ. We're so used to how an MKH416 sounds that many other 'honest' mics sound dull to our ears.

@@GeorgeTheTech Agreed. Spoiled by the 416 every time.
All others (including my U87) sound less full of life than the 416. I also think there are so many alternatives for VO out there. I wish I could sit down and try them all some days.

Hi thanks for the video, was any EQ applied to this audio? What do you add in post in terms of EQ to make it sound the best?

For the purpose of this video, no EQ was applied. A little high-shelf for some "air" could be nice, but it entirely depends on the voice.
