Don't buy an AT2035 until you watch this video! Sound Speeds!

- I know it sounds like a clickbait title but I assure you, this video delivers. The AT2035 is widely considered the best sounding microphone in the Audio-Technica 20 series of microphones. Priced around $150, it's got a great sound to it but what if I told you there's another brand name microphone with almost the exact same specs, that sounds nearly identical (better actually) and can be purchased for less money... Interested?
Note: Audio-Technica calls their microphone series the 20 and 40 series as opposed to the 2000 and 4000 series like I called them in this video. I've always called them that so I'll likely not change soon.

I can't find a 3035 for sale almost anywhere especially for a good price, anymore.
Sadly, this video has created a new demand for the 3035. Sorry.
@@SoundSpeeds so what is the best mic to buy in these times? new and used?
There's always the 2035 if you like the sound of it. I am also a huge fan of the Neat XLR mics:
ruclips.net/video/AUhrnzm3FYM/видео.html
@ShameLiarBased on my experience recording over the years with the Neumann KM 184 D, Neumann TLM 103, Neumann U87, Telefunken ELAM 251-E, AT4033a, AT3035, AEA R92, Royer R-122V, a pair of Rode NT-2as, a pair of Tech Zone Stellar X2 Vintages, Presonus PM-2s, a variety of budget mics from Shure, Pyle Pro and Behrginer...
.. out of those, the best price-to performance ratio on large diaphragm condensers comes from the Stellar X2 Vintage (for a slightly more vintage sound) or the Rode NT-2a (if you like a slightly brighter sound or want a multi-pattern mic). The recordings I've heard from my peers made with the Rode-NT1 aren't that far off from the NT-2a, so that's another option, but I personally prefer the Stellar X2 Vintage at that price point.
@@SoundSpeeds I haven't worked with the Neat mics but the King Bee sure does sound good in the RUclips tests I've heard. :)
At first I thought it was a clickbait title but you did deliver on your promise. Mah man 👏🏼
Thank you. :-)
Except you can get a used at 2035 for the same price.
I still like the 3035 better.
As Curtis Judd pointed out earlier this year, two items that often don't suffer from tech obsolescence are good quality microphones and glass (lenses), often money well spent. Finding bargains on aftermarket microphones multiplies that return. A list of aftermarket microphones and prices would be a very useful item especially for those of us with limited knowledge of vintage microphones and souces.
Curtis is spot on as always. I'll have to think of favorite vintage mics to recommend. Thanks for the idea.
So glad I clicked on this video (great title, btw).
Thank you. :-D
TLDW: At3035 was discontinued but is basically the same thing but better. You might be able to find a good one on the used market cheaper than the 2035.
True statement however, and I apologize for this, ever since releasing this video, the AT3035 has seen a resurgence in price and it's more difficult to find for $75-$100 anymore. Now they're selling more often around $150-160.
@@SoundSpeeds haha I think you influenced the used market a bit more than you may have anticipated.
@@SamahLama Yeah... :-/ Sorry America.
Hey man I'd like to sincerely thank you this particular video helped me today, actually I bought 3035 for a good deal
Thanks dude 👍
Sure thing. Glad to help!
Although this video seemed more focused on the comparison between the 20 and the 30 than anything else, it was by far the best at 2035 review I could find so hats off sir.
Thank you. :-)
Here's a big part that you're leaving out, the 2035 comes with a shock mount. A decent shock mount will cost you $50. I made the mistake of buying the at2020 and then later buying the shock mount. The mic was $100 and the shockmount was $50. I should have just bought the at2035. It's $150 and comes with a nice case, the mic, and the shock mount.
That is true but many used mics come with the OEM shockmount. Excellent point though.
On another note, if you need a solid shockmount that will work with practically any mic, try the Rycote USM. Check out my review below:
ruclips.net/video/jbtf8k_zN-k/видео.html
That 2035 sounded a lot better, reading The Reaper Blog's post the reason why is clear.
Better than the AT2020 for certain! How about the 3035 though?
I preferred the 3035 on the lows and low mids, but it's very hard to compare the real topend without doing something like a key-test ( jangle and bunch of keys in front of the mics and see how they sound under compression, this is a very easy way to illustrate how a electret and real condenser compare on detail v distortion ) something for future videos perhaps ?
@@caloss2 Interesting... giving me something to think about.
Sound Speeds Well, when reviewing a mic, it could be a section like "It sounds ok .... but does it pass the key-test ?" hit it with heavy compression ( 12-1 with low a threshold ) like modern drum recording on the overheads ( condensers pointing down over the cymbals etc )
@@caloss2 I'll have to look into that. I like heavy compression in some circumstances.
This was a fantastic way to do a comparison between two mics. I closed my eyes and attempted to distinguish the two. Nice work!
Thank you. You may also enjoy my Masked Mics series: ruclips.net/p/PLpPR2HcQu7YLFvXjkxlm8eTP-CRNbVb_Y
@@SoundSpeeds will check it out tonight. I think it was really really really helpful how you would repeat the same sentence with each mic. Have not seen anyone else do that yet.
I wanted you to hear the same thing on both to compare. I don't do that in Masked Mics.
Its the same clip
It's not though
Great comparison!
The AT2035 sounds more open and vivid in my opinion. On the other hand, the sibilants .... :/
Definitely less presence but also a lower noise floor despite the same self noise. I'm guessing it has to do with the slightly lower sensitivity.
To be honest, I'm still not sure why the behaviour of the inherent self noise should be changing with the sensivity of the microphone. Maybe I have completely missed the point of your recent video. But to my understanding the transfer factor has nothing to do with the semantics of the recording. Enlighten me, in case I'm totally wrong here.
@@ellef9331 Without going crazy here... the AT3035 is -33 while the AT2035 is -32. Their gain levels were set to +33 and +32 respectively. I level matched them to -23 LUFS and both mics required almost the exact same amount of level change - they were only 0.15dB off. Technically the levels are matched with the same noise floor X amount of dB below and they should be very close. Because one mic is more sensitive though, it will detect more sound at low volume. With 12dB noise floors, and the room noise floor higher than the volume level you'd hear that mic noise floor at, the sensitivity of the mics comes in to play as it pulls sound out of the noise floor. Identical dynamic ranges on the AT3035 and AT2035 means that the more sensitive mic will "hear" more at low levels. This is why the ultra quiet NT1 had a louder noise floor than the much louder C535EB.
Thank you for your explanation!
I think I got the point now. Basically, it all comes down to the „inertia“ (resistance to move) of the diaphragm when looking at those quietest sounds. I assume that microphones with a very low sensitivity come with a membrane system which has more mass or stiffness and thus needs more physical energy to produce an equal amount of loudness. Since there is more resistance with such diaphragms it is also likeley that they won't be able to pick up very quiet sounds that intensively. There simply is not enough energy to initiate a deflection of the membrane.
Perhaps this is also part of the widespread assumption that dynamic microphones are less critical when working in untreated rooms where LDCs might pickup a lot of ambient noise. Although I see other factors that are much more important here (membrane isolation and polar pattern for example) ...
@@ellef9331 The difference between dynamics and condensers is more the reason than gain. A Fethead or Cloudlifter will raise it to a sensitivity rivaling a condenser but that's not going to eliminate the reason for using a dynamic in untreated spaces. It comes down to dynamics being pressure operated versus condensers being pressure gradient. Watch my video explaining Polar Patterns for a detailed explanation but pressure operated mics are better in untreated spaces because it takes more vibration energy to move the diaphragm of a dynamic versus the condenser that is designed to pick up a larger range of subtle vibrations then amplifies them.
the 2020 isn't a true condenser, it only looks like one. which is why it's cheaper and noisier.
I'm a happy owner of two 3035s. I got them new in box for $150CDN. I don't use them much anymore but they're great mics.
Is it a crappy electret condenser? I've never given the AT2020 much thought because I'm not fond of them.
yep it's an electret in a plastic case to make it look like a condenser capsule. to be fair they don't advertise it as large diaphragm but most people assume it is from the side-address design.
@@TheREAPERBlog Wow, you're right. In the description of the AT2020 it's listed as a "low mass diaphragm". Ugh! Now it's ugly sound makes more sense. Thanks for pointing that out. I've never given it much thought because my interest is in better sounding mics. I guess it's like how Breyer's now makes "frozen dairy dessert" instead of "ice cream" but most people won't notice.
I've read that the 2035 is also an electret condenser mic. Yet it's less noisy.
Indeed! The AT2035 comes with a 0.8" back-electret capsule.

Good find. Enjoy.
Man, you do a terrific job for this review!!!! Yes you hooked me and I'm going to look for a 3035 used!
Good luck! Sometimes they are hard to find.
Playing the exact same recording on both mics is definitely the most fair and objective comparison you can get. Gotta love the scientific method and eliminating variables that skew the results.
Thank you. That was my thinking as well.
The Q2U deserves a thorough video like this

Thank you Luke. Run a search for AT3035 on Google and you'll see a few under $90 the lowest being $59.99 at this time. I also see a shockmount for $20. Worth looking up.
@@SoundSpeeds Thanks for the heads up!!
Sure thing
I got one for 103 at the pawn shop. I got super lucky because I went to guitar center first and they didn't have any AT mics. Went to the pawn shop and they had one. I was looking for a 2020 but the 2035 was what I got. I didn't even know what mic I bought until I got in the car.
@@theerealatm It's much better than the 2020. You got a great deal.
Personally as a sound engineer the 2035 clearly sounded better to my ears. Lots more richness in the low-end. I cannot stand the 2020, which creates a very harsh sibilance resonance somewhere around 6kHz that is no bueno to me (we hear at the beginning of this video; I'm gonna take a wild guess and say you had it set-up but truly I don't know, it just has this characteristic and my brain cannot stand it for some reason. Not that it wouldn't be easy to remove this with EQ tbh). OK now they are close but the 3035 IMHO sounds a lot boxier and too "dynamic" to my taste - I'd rather get a dynamic at this point. Just my humble opinion :)
Very good assessment. That's what's awesome about listening - it's a unique experience.
I own both the AT 3035 and 2- 2035. paid the same for each in Canada. didnt know what have said. I find the 3035 is slightly better or pleasing sound. heard that the 3035 was made in Japan and the 2035 in Tiawan. all good mics. they certainly need a wind screen.
Or just put the mic about 30 degrees off axis to your mouth and you won't. Watch this video:

Really Nice video bro great work
Thank you sir
AT 2020 is not a LDC, it is a side address SDC, diaphragm size is 16mm. Some people describe it as a Medium Diaphragm Condenser, LDC is usually over 25mm.
You're right.
Thanks for reminding me never to use the phrase ‘let me dangle a carrot here’ when I’m at a preschool.
Yikes
Great video, in the market for this and this was very good info
Glad to help. Thanks for watching.
I just found a brand new 3035 in Beijing after I saw this video. I hope it's a good choice for me.
Let me know how you like it. I really like mine.
The AT2035 is a bit smoother and more open sounding to my ear while the AT3035 is a little grainer in the high-mids and more congested sounding. Might be the way you are holding it or batch-batch differences but the colour scheme and warranty have got me looking for a 2045. Thanks for the great comparison and history though, its great to know
The 3035 is flatter so the fundamentals being a little over the mids and highs can give that impression. Don't let me change your mind though. If the 2035 sounds better to your ears then it sounds better. No harm there.
@@SoundSpeeds Fair, both are great mic's dont get me wrong but yeah, I do prefer a slightly louder fundamental for my uses either way cause my voice isn't very smooth
Very good. I find it important to make decisions for yourself and not just go off of what someone on RUclips says. My goal is to provide info and although I do often offer my opinion, I wouldn't want anyone to copy/paste mine as their own unless they agree wholeheartedly.
I agree with your conclusions about the way they sound. I think it may have to do with the 3035 being older and its plate having lost some of its permanent charge.
I hadn't considered that. If it's constantly receiving 48V from use, will it lose it's charge enough to notice if it was taken care of properly?
Im looking to see which would be the best mic for universal use like podcast making, music recording, and casual voice chatting with friends?
For versatility, look for a flat mic. NT1 v4, Worker Bee and E-100 are some of my favorites

Bandrew's reviews are very good and get better every month. Highly recommended.
@@SoundSpeeds I like your channel too. I go here for mics he didn't cover or had been reviewed like 4 years, honestly the quality that time period was pretty bad.
He had to start somewhere. His ear has been well trained over the years and his mic reviews have evolved to be the best you'll find on RUclips, no question. He and I offer different things though. I'm not afraid to plosive test a ribbon mic I buy (ruclips.net/video/cJiiO6OKkkk/видео.html) or take a shower with a mic (ruclips.net/video/EEADaqIiun4/видео.html) and will often add something nobody else does. Shotgun mic reviews, for example, I test in different places and at different heights overhead including upto nearly 40 feet over the ground if the mic picks up at a great distance (ruclips.net/video/dFEv_g-mXdU/видео.html). We each have our niches of expertise and as a pro sound guy in the film industry, I bring different tests to mics. That's the cool thing about RUclips. We're not in competition with each other.
Great video!
:-)
I haven't seen anyone comment on the noticeable difference in the noise floor. That may be the most obvious difference. The AT3035 was vividly quieter. Thanks for the video.
Yes, I think you did jack up the resale market, btw. Just paid $175 each, for (2) + tax and shipping. Still half of new and only slightly more than the Chinese version.
Yeah, sorry about that. Good deal though considering the economy.
I was listening to this video without watching and thought I started glitching when he started testing the mics.
LOL. I understand that completely.
2035 seems a little warmer, but the difference is almost negligible.
It's important to have the info though. You now know the 3035 exists and how it sounds. If you liked it more, you'd rather have it.

Which is the best mic for Vocal
1.Lewitt Lct 240 pro
2.audio technica at 2020
In my opinion, Lewitt hands down.
The AT2035 is a little brighter, and seems to be a tad tinny because of it. The 3035 is more flat, and it sounds cleaner. I found one online! Thanks for saving me from getting the lesser mic haha!
Glad to help. Thanks for watching.
Really good advice. You know your stuff.
Thanks for watching
At first I thought I was hearing a difference between them; but on relistening & watching, I realize that mere _centimetres_ of of different distance from the mouth actually makes a difference to the sound. And there's no way he can keep both mics at _exactly_ the same distance & orientation, consistently. So I'm concluding that the sound of these two is too close to call. I'd probably go for the 2035, just to get a new one.
It's less than that (distance wise) but there is a difference depending on the headphones you listen with. Your conclusion is very fair. Getting a warranty is a good thing.
No listener is going to think "This would've sounded way better with this specific microphone." I just use the AT2020 with a little EQ and it hasn't proven to be a problem! Though I might have bought this mic instead if I'd have known.
When I released this video there were AT3035s all over not selling even for half of the 2035 because people didn't know what they were. Bringing light to that was my purpose in this video.
Good deal. Yeah, sadly this video caused a run on the 3035. I've seen them range between $150 and #275.
Is this mic good or not ? my room is not sound proof ?
The mic is good but it might not be right for an untreated room. A dynamic world likely make you happier.
AT3035 had been made in Japan, AT2035 is made in Taiwan. May be those are technically identical. I got used AT2035 through eBay $78. It was cheapest.
Perhaps but the engineering is different.
I just ordered mine, so now I'll watch this video.

There's a pretty clear difference with much more emphasis in the higher vocal range on the 2035.
Yeah, it's got that typical boost most mics give to the harmonics between 3-5K. I prefer mics more flat.
Nuts, old man. As the sound is so close, and the build quality differences are minimal and do not matter - buy a used AT 2020 instead for even less money. THAT is the better bang for the buck. A used discontinued mic vs a current new mic - not really a valid argument in my opinion - better to buy a used 2020 and put the savings into a better interface. Or better bourbon. You pick. Just my take. JT
2020's sound like crap compared to other $100 mics in 2023.
@@SoundSpeeds OK ...um .. ahem ... it appears mislabeled the AT 2035 which is what you used in the video ... my bad ... no doubt the 2020 does not measure up. I meant to say get a used 2035, instead. I edited/corrected my comment based on your reply. Thanks.
By the way, the video does a good job comparing the two microphones side by side - back and forth - with what appears to be the same utterance at the same time, not just repeating what you said again ... this is a useful technique other reviewers should copy! Happy trails old man. JT

They both did sound very close, though I thought the 2035 was a slight bit more forward. Perhaps that's partly due to the location of the condenser? The effect was very slight to my old man ears.
The AT2035 picks up a bit more low end but personally, I like the flatter 3035. The important thing here is to listen and make the decision for yourself. You did that so... win!
@@SoundSpeeds When I'm in the market for an XLR setup (currently using a Samson G-Track Pro USB), I'll definitely need to listen to how they sound with my particular voice: a little bit of bass, fairly nasal and a little sibilant. I avoided clicking on this at first. Glad I finally did. I own a 3035 and I wanted a second one, so now I know I have the choice between either a used 3035, a new 2035 or perhaps also a used 2035. Now if I can just find a used 3031, those are really hard to find.
I've never heard of that one.
@@SoundSpeeds It's a small diaphragm that was contemporary with the 3035. I have one of each and I would like to get a second one of each. the 3035 is easy enough to find on ebay, but the 3031 seems pretty rare.
The 3031 was cardoid. There was also a 3032 which was an omni.
Cool. If I ever see one for sale, I might pick them up. I love vintage mics.
thanks for this!
Certainly
I have an audio-technica AT2035. I am a 35+ year veteran of radio broadcasting. I am also a female and hate the way this mic adds bass tones to my voice. It is not worth the $150 I paid for it because it actually changes my voice quality from feminine to masculine when recording or doing live podcasts. Thanks for giving me reassurance in this review that it's not me . . . it's the mic.
Yeah, mics are tested at a distance of 1 meter away so it's difficult to see how they really sound when in proper position. That's why I'm huge about listening to mics over looking at specs. Thanks for watching.
what do you use?
I use the Rode NT1, CAD Equitek E100, Neat Worker Bee and t.bone SC400 most commonly. Between the 2035 and 3035, I prefer the 3035 though
I had two 2035s and they both died randomly, one after a few months, another after a few years. not going with any Audio Technica stuff again. Their stuff just doesn't last.
Good to know although my 3035 is still solid
For me.. AT2035 sounds better. I LISTENED with Audio Technica M20x.
But I could get the other one.. 😅
It's great to have the knowledge after listening
I'm honestly just using a Samson C02.
Found it better suited for my voice over needs as opposed to a large diaphragm condenser. Saves on desk space too.
I'm a fan of the C02. It sounds pleasant on me too. I just don't like the blue LED.

@@SoundSpeeds More like: Because you launched this video, the prices of 3035's went up ;)
Thank you for the great video!
I am involved in creating video presentations in a small studio and am facing some acoustic challenges that impact sound quality. Currently, I am using an old Sennheiser shotgun microphone, which unfortunately captures the sounds of the operating air conditioner. Given that my studio is located in a building with a central heating/air system, I cannot turn off the air conditioning during recordings.
During my recordings, I stand, and my shotgun microphone is positioned on a tripod below my waist to stay out of the frame, creating a distance of approximately 30 inches from my face to the microphone. Given this setup, I need a microphone that not only provides high-quality sound for my voice but also minimizes the capture of background noises, including the sound of the air conditioner.
Could you please recommend a type of microphone that would best suit my recording conditions? It's important to me that the new microphone delivers clarity and purity of voice sound while effectively suppressing unwanted background noise. My budget for this purchase is in the range of $300 to $700.
I'm not sure I can recommend a solution for you that won't pick up the AC without hearing it and seeing the environment. My suggestion would be to point the microphone away from the strongest noise while keeping your mouth in front of the pattern and trying to acoustically baffle the noise so it's attenuated. thanks for the vid bro. i just made a researche to what to buy and settle with the 2035. just searched google to find the best deal and your video was the first with the clickbait title (as i thought haha). just checked the used market site of my country and found a 3035 at the price of a new at2020 so thanks for the video, its hard to get good tips like this in this world of shittalk nowadays. cheers
Thank you for your message. I suck at clickbait titles and don't believe in them but as long as you deliver, it's not clickbait so I was at peace with this. I have many other videos you may also find helpful in your sound adventures.
Great Video! I wished i would have seen it back then. The Audio-Technica AT3035 would be a good catch indeed, if i was lucky enough to find it in my country on eBay. But since there is barely anything available, it's either the Audio-Technica AT2035 or the AT4040, if I want to stick to the brand. I noticed, that - on a male, somewhat deeper voice, but not yet voice-of-god (which is closest to mine) the AT2035 sounds a bit brighter, while the AT4040 sounds a bit warmer. And I am partial to a warm sound. That being said - while the difference is small enough to be only noticeable in direct comparison, it is till there and knowing that, i'd probably be not all-happy with neither, the AT2035, nor the AT3035, thinking about what nice the AT4040 probably could have been.
But if I wanted the Mic to be an Audio-Technica one, i'd have to choose the AT2035 (or getting lucky on an AT3035) - just because of the price over here, in Germany. The AT2035 retails in Germany for 153 EUR ( ~ 185 USD ) - More expensive than the 149 USD in the US. But since it sounds way nicer than - say - the RØDE NT1A and almost the same price over here, it's still interesting. As for the AT4040... Here things get nasty. In the US it retails for 299 USD. That would be fine to me, even if i sold the same in EUR. But guess what the AT4040 retails for in Germany... 399 EUR ( 485 USD ) - OOF...
So from the price to performance standpoint, for an Audio-Technica microphone, it would have to be the AT2035 for me, even tho i'd probably sound-wise would be more happy with the AT4040. But here comes a new challenger! Meet the RØDE NT1. And comparing the NT1 to the AT4040... Well, on the Booth Junkie's Voice, it was a toss. I could not hear any difference whatsoever. On a higher voice, the RØDE NT1 was slightly warmer and the AT4040 slightly clearer. So for my voice, the RØDE NT1 would be probably a tiny bit warmer, depending on how I pitch it. But in the end, it would be a toss anyways. But like I introduced the RØDE NT1, it is a new challenger, price-wise. But actually, over here in Germany, it completely destroys the Audio-Technica AT4040, being sold for 259 EUR ( ~ 313 USD ).
So for me its picking between the Audio-Technica AT2035 and the RØDE NT1.
I'd pick the NT1. It's a great mic way underpriced in my opinion.
And now they are going for around 150-175...
Yeah, sorry about that. This video has sparked new interest in the 3035 so the price went up.
Great video
Thank you
I’m getting the AKG P420 for $150 used... I have no problem with used gear especially since the mic would be worn in.
Good deal. I usually suggest using a sanitizing hand wipe over anything used you buy.
Sound Speeds Thanks for the tip
Just bought one for 90$ with a mount and 2 cables on eBay shipping costed 26$ tho *cry* will update my comment after thorough assessment
Great find. They've been hard to find since this video was released.
All i got from this video was that buying a 2035 basically gives you a 350$ mic for 150$, especially since i can't find any 3035 selling for less than the 2035 would. Well, that's not too bad either :D
It was different when I released this video. Thanks for watching.
This is great
Thank you!
Hello,
Just the kind of review I was looking for.
Too good !
I need a lil help here.
Which mic would you recommend for someone with a high pitched voice and has less power on the lower notes (like Bruno Mars) ??
Don’t want my voice to sound too thin as it already is.
It should sound a little heavy or mature.
Most of the mics tend to have a brighter profile so it is getting very confusing :(
Here are some options:-
se2200 , lewitt lct 440 pure, at2035, rode nt1 , aston origin.
Or any other you’d like to recommend in this category ?
Thank you in advance.
Have a great day :-)
A darker mic would probably do you well. The NT1 is flat but great.
@@SoundSpeeds Thanks a lot 🙏🏻🙏🏻
Glad to help
Is the AT3525 better than the AT2020 or AT2035?
It is in my opinion
@@SoundSpeeds Ok thanks. Found one for $40
👍
Damn! So basically they just made the same whole thing for a cheaper price lol. Marketing skills - Audio Technica 101 lol 💯 Thanks for this video brother. But do you think the SE X1A could be better than the 2035? Coz I'm planning to buy any of these soon. Thanks in advance ♥️
It would depend on the kind of sound you're going for. I've never compared or listened to the X1A
@@SoundSpeeds Oh alright Sir. Thanks a lot for your response. Much Appreciated ♥️💯
Sure thing. Thanks for watching
do i need a phanton power with this mic, or i can do xlr to usb?
It requires phantom.
You do a nice job.
Thank you.
Nice video, I am looking to get into voice work and don't have a wide range of knowledge, can you link me to a video of yours or recommendations on mic's and equipment to go with? Also, I like your sound proofing set up. How easy is that to put together? Anyone can help with this question. Thanks!
Thanks for watching. I recently upgraded my studio and it sounds much better now. I want to help you with mic recommendations but need to ask you a bunch of questions first. Everything from budget to how your voice sounds. This is a much bigger conversation that a RUclips comments section. Email address in the description but in the mean time, here's my studio upgrade video complete with links to items used below: ruclips.net/video/ObFcpsrP_AM/видео.html
That's a Belden cable. I've never tried that over. For the past decade I've made all my own cables and have never had one fail the way I make them. Booth Junkie, Curtis Judd, Kevin Basic Filmmaker and Podcastage are just a few of the people using cables I've made.
Subbed!
Welcome aboard
damn, now you could have easily been be the best michigan car seller that ever walked the parking lot.
Thank you... I think. Actually, probably not because I'm recommending buying a used mic over using my affiliate links to buy a new one.
@@SoundSpeeds oh yeah, right, then you're the salesman with heart, but no raise. and if that makes you more lucky than lying to people (or just thinking of your wallet than business), all i can say is thanks a lot, sir, you're appreciated!
The vocals u wanted to show as recorded by two different microphones are the same vocals
Similar but not exactly the same.
The audio technica to my ears blind folded sounded crispier on the highs without out being harsh just more clarity in my opinion 2035 sounds better
Very good. It important to hear both and make the determination for yourself. Thanks for watching.
Hello, What is that booth you're using?
It's not a booth, it was a set I was using temporarily and never referred to it as a booth. I have since created acoustically treated shooting spaces.
@@SoundSpeeds Ok, looks nice. That's something I'd be interested in using. Good videos/Channel. Take care.
😎👍
Good info sir...👍. Can you do a video review for Behringer SL75c ..? I'm an a beginner in #miking procedure 🙏🙏🧡
It may be a while. Thanks for watching.
Great video, which mic is better for singing at2020 or any other.?
AT2035 is better than the AT2020 anyway you cut it
@@SoundSpeeds thanks brother.
Glad to help.
@@name0055 I have quite a few suggestions for you but it'll depend on what purpose you are using the mic for. Podcasting? Gaming? Filmmaking? On camera mic? Recently I did a review of a really good condenser for under €50 and you may like it IF recording in a treated room. If not, let me know a few details about what you'd like the microphone for and I'll try to help you find something.

Nice Video👍
Thanks!
interesting info but, second hand, no warranty, has it been dropped?
.... nah .. 2035 is a better 'choice' unless you know the seller of a 2035 and think he' she has really looked after it.
It's certainly safer but if you can find one in a store and try it out verifying performance, it could work out.
1:22 here come some noise. Is it caused by audio-interface? Focusrite shit?
More likely RUclips. I use a Sound Devices recorder to record all my videos.
The AT2035 interests me, but the cheaper price of the AT2020 is more desirable for me to reach. Might look into the AT3035, but is the AT2020 good for beiginners or will I do better long term with the AT2035/AT3035?
I never recommend the 2020. Always the 2035 over it.
@@SoundSpeeds thanks!
Sure thing.
do any of the mics have a mute button
Mute? No. On/off switches you occasionally see on handheld mics like stone SM-58s and self powered mics.
Sound Speeds I need an external mic for gaming/streaming, would you recommend any
There's too many factors that would affect a recommendation. I need details of your setup, environment, budget, space restrictions, etc.
Could you use the AT2035 with a cajon/stomp box for live looping?
No idea. Out of my area of expertise
Just curious, does the sound room make a difference? What if you were in a noisy environment? Would one mic do better than the other then?
I don't imagine there would be much of a difference if at all.
just checked, the at3035 has a small diaphram that the 2035
They are similar in size but the 3035 sounds better to me.
Thank you, that's some good info. Does anyone know of a cheaper version of the AT 4050?
There isn't one to my knowledge.
the 2035 was warmer still
👍
using the same clip for comparison is wild 😂
I hope you know I didn't.
and I hope u know that not all viewers are as dumb as u think@@SoundSpeeds
Fair enough. 😁
