Love YOU! I do your warm ups.... i have improved. Right now I volunteer and sing at a church. My dream was to become professional. I was at VP Pence in Duluth, MN and a young scared girl was single the national anthem and was so scared and because I also volunteer for the GOP committee i was up in front of her. I motioned her to look at me and i belted it with her and sang the higher notes. I spoke to her later and she said, "thank you I needed you... and said I should sing it", and I didnt want her to feel I did that for me. She knew I helped her and that gave me so much pleasure ☺ and most importantly she watched me and her nerves started to go away.
I’ve been watching your videos for the past week an let me just say Thank You! Because I was very hesitant to strengthen my voice, and pronunciations, but it helped me to open up more.💖
This is awesome! I’ve been out of practice during quarantine and just found that you’ve made an updated gentle warmup. Your last one saved me during voice exams and this one will now! Thanks so much!
Apologies, I only just got round to this one. So OK, lovely and gentle but then I felt, a lovely surprise in the last section, because although still pretty gentle, there is a certain amount of endurance practice, which is always useful. So dear Jeff as usual, thank you so much for your time and thought put into this video. My kind regards as always.
Thank you, Diane! Yes. You have it absolutely correct. Just a little engagement stimulation to keep things warm. Thank you for watching! Thanks for your kind words! Jeff
@@JeffRolka You're always most welcome Jeff. I have been posting your name around (together with the appropriate links recently), particularly on a site I am a member of which is one where members can ask questions or advice about singing. You can't force people but I just hope you get some more subscribers.
I have been a fan of your vocal coaching for a few years now and subscribe. This is a really good gentle and yet challenging warm up. I've also been out of practice since no gigs this last year. This is perfectly challenging and interesting to keep you engaged. Thank you Jeff.
Thank you! Thank you for your kind words and thank you for subscribing! I'm glad you like the warm up, I hope it helps you get into practice and ready for the gigs to come! All the best, Jeff
When I have some extra money because my son and I are living off of my ss/disability I will send you some money. I don't look disabled but PTSD and arthritis throughout my body is horrible. Need to move from the cold Minnesota.
Thank you, Diane, that is very kind! I appreciate the thought and very much appreciate the kind sentiment that you've shared here. Thank you for watching and being a part of the channel! All the best, Jeff
Jeff, My range is (roughly) E3-C6 on a good day. Should I use multiple warm ups? Sometimes high notes hurt me and my voice teacher believes I’m a mezzo-soprano (low notes can hurt too for that matter but I think that’s practice and not just me having a poor range). But should I use mezzo and soprano warm up videos to do the best for my voice? I use your videos daily if possible. Thank you!
you are way too underrated Jeff, thank you!!
I appreciate that!
This particular vocal exercise is so helpful to a rusty soprano...thank you so much. Also helps my warbling vibrato to sustain the last note smoothly.

Lovely to be able to sing along with you playing piano and to see your face - the personal touch!
Recently had double jaw surgery and these gentle warm ups are very helpful ❤️
Wishing you all the best for a rapid recovery!

Jeff! Can you teach us how to find a good teacher? For one on one lessons?
I would start with the www.nats.org teacher finder!
When your range goes from C3 to D6 so you do most of them.... 😂
🙏🌷

Definitely talk to your instructor about your pain. Singing shouldn't hurt as a general rule.
All the best,
Jeff
