- Religious leaders and Democratic rivals have expressed outrage over Donald Trump's photo shoot, in which he held a Bible in front of St John's Episcopal Church, just across the road from the White House.
The moment of political theatre came after crowds were aggressively dispersed with tear gas and rubber bullets.
"I am your president of law and order," he declared.

I watched the whole raw footage. No one was overcome by gas. The police gassed themselves and stood in a line, watching the people retreat. One policeman was two steps ahead of the line and a fellow policeman tapped him to get him back in line.
Then Trump held the Bible in front of him for some time before lifting it up. He told the reporter that it wasn't his Bible. Then he addressed those gathered, saying, "We have a great country. That's my thoughts. Greatest country in the world. We can make it even greater. We will make it even greater. It won't take long."
