My Dell Inspiron 3500 is a C366GT laptop, and the screen broke off yet the system still works. I put in another 64mb PC66 ram stick boosting it to 128mb. Also installed a dual boot Windows 98SE/Windows 2000 to the small 4.8gb hard drive. Even though this laptop led a hard life the battery still holds a charge, along with the date & time from the CMOS battery.😊
I was given an old laptop, I think it's an HP Pavilion dv6910us. It seems like it's charging (the light by the port turns on) but it doesn't seem to want to turn on. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
It may need a hard reset. Remove the power and battery and then hold the power button down for about 30 seconds, then reconnect everything and try again

I have other Dell Inspiron and Latitude models around this era but all of them have pretty solid plastics.
I had one older than this that was still in great shape too, must have been something about how it was cared for.
Nice!!
