Thank you so much for watching!! 💜❤️
See you next time! ☺️
The brilliant, horrifying thing about what Philip has done is that he *always* knew that Luz would go to the Isles, would have access to the portal door, and would eventually travel back in time to meet him. He just had to wait for it to happen. Another show would have Luz be special, destined hero…but this is all what Philip has orchestrated. A brutal subversion because up until now he’s been in control all along. Excellent, awful, and I love it.
Poor Hunter I can't even imagine I don't even blame him for running he needs to be alone to process everything and Luz didn't change the past that was always meant to happen her meeting Barlos in the past
That’s true, I mean after seeing/hearing all of that, I can only imagine what he is going through. It definitely is staring to make sense about Luz going into the past now. Thank you! ❤️😁
P.S: I love your profile picture!! 💜 sorry I had to say it, I love that game!
@@Reactions.Addict Omg thank you so much I had to do it Clementine means a lot I play the series when I miss it and please tell me your and Violentine shipper those two just omg wish we had more dialogue with then but there was plenty of cute moments of fun fact my birthday the sane day they realized the game April 24
belos always rembers luz, you cant change past, in season 1 finale belos was talking to her with name
Ohhhh yeah, I forgot about that! 😅 Lol, well that definitely is proof that belos remembers Luz still 😁💜
(At 11:44) this looks like The Knee, before it was in ruins. You know, the place where a loose learned Ice Glyphs?
Excellent reaction as always!
I _love_ all the Grimwalker lore we get in this episode! Piecing together the tidbits they drop, it really seems like a Grimwalker is basically a _clone_ of someone else (specifically a clone of someone who is already dead!) It seems to be implied that every Golden Guard is really a clone of Philip Wittebane's dead brother ... so in a way, each Golden Guard is sort of a "son" of Philip's brother ("born" from his dead flesh and dark magic) ... so for Belos/Philip to call them "nephew" isn't _entirely_ incorrect. But it also seems that (like Philip's brother apparently did) eventually every Grimwalker-clone turns against Philip and is ultimately destroyed. Which then means back to the drawing board, and time to clone a new version of the deceased brother to serve as a right-hand man to Belos' plan (straight out of the 1600s Witch Trial hysteria) to purge all lands of "Witches" and "Demons" so as to keep the good human folk of Earth safe from evil!
All this nicely explains a couple of Belos' quotes. To Hunter: _"What a shame. Out of all the Grimwalkers, you looked the most like him."_ The exchange with the Collector -- Collector: _"I'm starting to think you make those things just to destroy them. You have fun with it. Admit it!"_ ... Belos' response: _"Of course I don't, Collector. It hurts every time he chooses to betray me."_ Judging from the number of shattered Golden Guard masks, Philip has been crafting _"better versions of an old friend"_ for quite some time!
Also, Hunter's comment in the gallery of lies, when looking at the scene where Hunter is "inheriting" the Golden Guard staff: _"Huh, why does Darius look so sad here?"_ Is extra poignant in light of this new information about the nature of the Golden Guard -- especially when looking back at Darius' comments about how the previous Golden Guard was Darius close friend and mentor.
Anyway, the ride continues! Looking forward to your next reactions!
Thank you! Glad you liked it! ❤️ Oh dang, When put that way, it does seem reasonable to call hunter his nephew, I never even thought about like that lol 😅 and yes it makes sense that all the grimwalkers end up turning against Belos because they all have a piece of Phillips brother in them, who did go against his brother. OHH I NOW KNOW WHAT THE COLLECTOR MEANT BY WHEN HE SAID “i’m starting to think you just make those things to destroy them. You have fun with it. Admit it!”. Thank you! 😁 Aww, I guess it kinda shows that Darius does care for hunter a little. Once again, Thank you so much for all the information!! 💜☺️
This was a post traumatic stress bomb
Oh, it most certainly was! 🥲😭
everyone's done a great job giving further context, but a lot of the story behind belos and the person hunter's a grimwalker of can be found in this episode! if you pause while rewatching and pay attention to the background memory paintings, we get a clearer picture of who hunter was made from - and the importance of flapjack.
I’ve been told by many, that Hunter is a grimwalker that looks like the brother that belos killed, and going back and looking at the paintings it definitely seems like that 😅🥲
(At 17:10) seven portraits, 20 masks. I think we can all guess what happened to the 20 of the guards.
“I’ve heard it’s traumatizing” That’s an understatement if there ever was one.
They didn't change the past. That's why Terra mentions "Belos is looking forward to meeting you, human." right before elsewhere and elsewhen. Luz and Lilith were always going to go back in time and phillip was always going to find the collector with their help. Otherwise the story completely falls apart since belos provides the encouragement for them to go back in time to cause the past to happen.
Ie: the story always happened the way we saw it nothing has been "changed".
"I was about to say it's not a bird it's a owl" ayo what?
if you listen to belos creature mode, all the palismen are yelling danger and get away, they were telling hunter and luz of the danger
Lol, yes I did notice that while watching. I was really confused at that point at first 😅😁
so belos is a witch hunter as in the name, Luz unkowingly helped philip in the past, Hunter is a grimwalker, a copy of someone, and Belos lied to everyone, he has a sinister plan to eradicate all witches
I always thought that Belos just wanted to invade the human realm but It definitely seems to be that Belos does want to destroy all the witches 🥲😭
I was soooo worried when this first came out.... and was hyped to see your reaction!
Aww, I’m glad you were looking forward to it!! ☺️💜
i love your reaction😭 u dont know how much i was crying and panicking when this episode aired dude everyone went insane
I’m glad you liked it! ❤️ Lol I can see why, this Episode WAS INTENSE! 😂💜
10:41 ALSO you're the first one noticed that in the reaction
my respect increases
First off, I want to say I love your Amity look and even if Amity ever wore glasses she'd look as cool as you do. Second, I really liked your reactions to this video. So much was going on in it and a lot had to happen before Hunter finally accepted the truth. What's really messed up is that kid Belos must have willingly showed him the truth to mess him up. Aside from the fact that those items were probably the only places in the memories that had the stuff he needed but couldn't do it sooner since they would have stopped him. (Most likely hurting him the most at times and that's whenever he'd become unstable and become the monster form in the real world.)
Awww, Thank you so much!! That really means a lot!! That has literally just made my day!! 💜💜☺️I’m glad you liked it!! ohhh, dang yeah I didn’t even think about that! Belos purposely showed Hunter those memories to see if he would trip up! Omg, he is the actual worst! Thank you for all the information! 😁
@@Reactions.Addict You're welcome and I'm glad that I made your day. 😁😊Yeah, Belos is the worse, that's probably why he's one of the best villains for Disney.
Lol, oh yeah, definitely one of the worst villains out there 😂
I continue to love your reactions and can't wait for more, Regarding Hunter, however, the clues as to his origin have been there in front of us for a while. This is the episode, however that brings it all into focus and shows us what a heartless manipulative monster Belos/Phillip has always been. For a while there was a chance he might have a redemption arc, but, no, I think he is irredeemable.
I’m glad you enjoyed it!! ☺️💜 Yes after going back to some episodes, there have definitely been some pictures and clips put in there that lead up to us figuring out hunter is a grimwalker. I definitely think there’s is no way in redeeming Belos, he’s a lost cause 😅🥲
The audio at the end of the episode reaction is de synced idk if thats just me but
you shoud go back and take a super close look at all the portraits in the bg's of the mindscape. some are hard to see while they're running but theres SO much belos lore you missed. You see Philip's brother and his hot wife. its implied hunter is a clone. we've seen the "recipe" to a grimwalker before
and hunters stubbornness to believe what he's been told is very true to life and victims of manipulation, stockholm syndrome, etc. its NOT easy. belos is a practiced manipulator.
yes they're called sigils, and Philip remembered luz since he met her. he actually referenced "meeting her again" before she traveled back in time, referencing that his past self was soon to meet her for the first time. the past was never changed, it had always happened. you even see the blurry silhouettes of luz and lilith in the diary entry at the beginning of elsewhere and elsewhen.
Dang I didn’t even really look at the portraits behind them, but I’ll definitely go back and look at them 😁 Now knowing that hunter is a grim walker, it does make sense that he was being stubborn. His head was filled with all of Belos lies and was manipulated by him. OHHH okay, so Luz was meant to meet Phillip, Got it lol Thank you for all the information!! 💜☺️
(At 16:23) so this wasn't after "Elsewhen Elsewhere". This was after "Eclipse Lake".
Remember when Lilith tripped over her own head in Elsewhere and Elsewhen? That showed us that time, at least in the TOH universe, is linear and everything that happened in the past has already happened, even if your future self travels back to the past.
So, present day Belos had already met future Luz, that is a constant that has always happened in the timeloop Luz creates by going back in time. She didn't change the past or anything, that had already happened and Luz DID help Phillip in his plans. And taught him the light glyph, which I'm sure was HUGE for him since it likely improved his magical abilities knowing all four glyph combos now.
This actually explains a lot of Belos' behavior towards Luz and the Owl House gang, especially Lilith the traitor. Why not go after them and get them arrested/petrified after the S1 finale? They were a loose end and potentially a threat to his plan. After all, after Hollow Mind he wasted no time going after them for the same reason so he could have done that at any time.
It's because if he did that then Luz could never go back in time to help him. He knew, he definitely knew. Though I'm certain he didn't ALWAYS know. I think he put two and two together when he finally got a good look at Luz in the S1 finale and then Lilith ended up escaping with them. Luz sorta has a pretty... unforgettable design, you know? And I'm sure her voice was engrained in his memory considering how much hatred he had toward them at the end of Elsewhere and Elsewhen.
(At 21:40) they KNOW where Eda lives? Do you _really_ think he'll be safe there?
If you rewatch it pay attention to the paintings. They show he had a brother. Remember the museum guy said two brothers were seduced by a witch. In the painting we see a witch who looks similar to Eda. That the brother made flaphack and that's why they are bonded.
We know Bellos killed his brother. I think they were both witch hunters. But the brother fell in love and knew witches aren't evil like they thought. Bellos kills his brother and dose their misosn. A grimwalker is a clone. Which is why Hujter can't use magic.
They didn't change anything because they were meant to go back in time. Remember Lilith tripped and we now know it was her tripping on her own head through a time portal. It's why Bellos never fully want after Luz because he needed her to go back in time to help him on his mission. It's a bit of a paradox or fixed events that would always happen.
Oh wow, and if belos couldn’t be any more evil. I definitely will have to go back and look for this paintings 😅 OHH DANG, YEAH THAT DOES MAKE SENSE WITH WHY HUNTER CAN’T USE MAGIC! IT MAKES SENSE NOW! Lol 😂 Thank you for all the information!! ❤️☺️
@@Reactions.Addict it's crazy all the little details in this episode
Girl, u really need to look closer at the portraits in the background of Belos' mind. Also, there r quite a few little clues in 'Yesterday's Lie', so u might want to consider re-watching that to get a better idea on 'who' Hunter originally was (still just theory but it's pretty solid).
Hunter is my favorite 💛
Season 3 coming soon! Can't wait to see your reaction to that (after your reaction to 'King's Tide' of course)
(At 18:35) Don't worry, he'll live… probably.
THE ALGORITHM HAS ORDAINED THAT YOU END UP IN MY RECOMMENDED. I've never run into a small RUclips naturally before, subscribing!
Omg, THANK YOU! I really appreciate that!! 💜☺️❤️
Ayyy amoo tu cabelloooo
¡¡Muchas gracias!! Lo aprecio 💜☺️
I new that Hunter was a Grim Walker of Philips brother and Belos reminds me of Amon from The Legend Of Korra both people loved by everyone both hate and want to get rid of people with powers and have equality both clame to comuntcat with a entity and both of them turn out to be compleat frauds and both of them changed there names and both of them have a brother and both of them have a scar across his face and both of them ware a mask
yes sigils
Okay, Thank you! 😁💜 I wasn’t 100% sure 😅
