I think Hunter crying after Luz told him he was part of the family was my favorite part of the episode. Just having him finally knowing he’s going to be surrounded by people that care about him and like him for the way he is was so wholesome. From his only family figure being as abusive as Belos was to this was such a step in the right direction.

As someone who grew up in an abusive household I can't agree more. I had a similarish moment when I moved in with my stepsister, who was kind enough to provide me with a safe and secure home for the first time in my life at 18 years old. After a few weeks the realization hit me while I was sitting in my room, I had found my family, my true family, and I wasn't in danger anymore. I cried like a wee babe, the understanding of what it was like to feel safe, to feel like my life wouldn't be completely uprooted at a moments notice, and the sudden grief for a life that I never got to live before then, it all hit me like a freight train. Seeing moments like this in media is so important, because it shows us that we can get out, how things can get better, but also that when we do get out there is still healing that has to be done, things don't just become sunshine and roses, and although the sun has begun to peek through the clouds it doesn't mean the skys are fully clear yet, just that the rain has stopped, and eventually a rainbow will appear on the horizon. It reminds me of the scene in Erased (which is a whole bag of marbles in that of itself that I wont get into) where Kayo (Kaya? Something like that it's been a minute) stays at the mc's home and has a real breakfast cooked for her, and she flashes back to all the horrible excuses for breakfast she's had in the past before she breaks down in tears, feeling the warmth of love for the first time in a long time.
I know this is a bit of a long comment, but if you are still reading, whoever you are, please, please, please, if you think that a child you know is suffering, contact the relevant authorities and resources and report them, and if you can show them whatever form of genuine love and care you can, whether it's a gentle embrace and kind words or a warm meal on a school morning before class. If you are willing and able, volunteer at local youth centres or groups, become a counciler at the summercamp you went to as a kid, or donate toys and plushies to your local childrens hospital. I can assure you from personal experience that these kinds of actions, these kinds of people, can mean the world to a kid or teen that is struggling, and in the worst of cases it can mean the difference between that young person taking their own life or not. You never know how you might affect a kid with the smallest of actions, how you might give them hope in a world that to them seems like it doesn't care. Show them you care.
Sorry this got long and heavy, I just have very strong feelings about this topic, if you couldn't tell. I'll leave you with this; no matter who you are, no matter what situation you are in, there is always someone who cares, because I care, you are loved, because I love you, and you are worthy of that love, just by being you, no matter what form that takes.

Luz collecting siblings first king now Hunter. They are a big happy family. The montage was to help show how much time they spent there. It's been crazy. Can't wait to see part two..
Also if we got along her seaosn we could have seen all of those dates they had. Plus we all shipped Vee with goth girl. But now we know they are non binary it's so cute and I hope they get to be together. It's just made everyone ship them so much more. I do wish we got to see Amity meet her human counterpart.

17:54 I’m glad thats what was what so many got from this, Camila is such a great mom. I always thought she was, even early on in the show when people were hating on her. She’s been shown to have always been so caring towards Luz and has been a great caretaker to her friends. I also love that she’s full accepted Vee as part of the family now, just her being so proud of her new form. Seriously what a great mom, especially after dealing with the loss of her husband.
26:50 I actually think Hunter telling Luz about Belos is good for her in a way.
So much of what's torturing Luz is the mix of guilt and helplessness. While Belos being back isn't a good thing, it's something Luz can try to do something about, and can be an outlet for her emotions and help her feel like she's making an impact and pushing to help the situation she blames herself for.

I actually thought at first that Gus could see people’s memories when he would use his power on them so it’s a possibility, watching it again, he also didn’t have much of a reaction to finding out Hunter is a grimwalker 😅
