@@sadlobster1 Well I don’t think so. I’ve seen reaction vids where people did those same type of reactions, but you can tell they’re forced and exaggerated. But with her? No, those feel genuine. With the way she expresses herself and with her fans she seems to be an energetic and emotional person. Now I don’t know her personally, but I can tell that she’s the type to express her love of something, be it the owl house as a whole or the representation it has. I don’t think she can even fake a reaction even if she tries.
@@ashleyroa8388 Another reaction I know of whom I believe shares that same energy is Morgan Terry, not JUST because she's also an LGBT reactor like Elijah here but for the fact she actually confessed on camera that all the tears she shed and the "gay panic" moments she had were 100% authentic and real
Can we just appreciate how ridiculously healthy Luz and Amity's relationship is? They put in an equal effort, it's not hindered by excessive drama like from jealousy or distrust, and when they do have hiccups they take the mature route and talk through it. On top of that we see them both get gradually more comfortable with each other as they enter different stages, ultimately leading to their first full-on kiss. The series better not end with them having to say goodbye or it will kill me!
My words exactly. I also applaud the show for avoiding those dramatic clichés often used in fictional relationships. I was almost afraid one was coming with the scene on the docks, but no--they sidestepped it and went right into a conversation about their issue.
I feel like they wanted to make sure that this was a healthy relationship people both in and out of representation could support. And to that, I say: mission accomplished.
They wanted to make a healthy LGBTQ+ teen couple, and went the extra mile by giving us one of the healthiest and most wholesome animated couples ever.
Nothing wrong with overachieving, imo.
I know, right...then again; for a long while, I've considered LGBT ships to be just a bit healthier than a lot of straight/heterosexual couples

Both characters being separated by major reasons and stressed by the distance ---> BIG reunion and stress relief
I had a feeling about it by this quick analysis + the setting of the scene (Luz coming up the manor with those nice looking vines + the sunset lighting) + the smooth animation confirming my thoughts
To me it was a bit predictable, YET I so fucking enjoyed that kiss scene

I love all her reactions to lumity but the kiss really did break her. She was making a whole speech about it and she was crying so much. She was even rolling on the ground and like she said she got even more emotional than Amphibia
One thing that this compilation makes me appreciate, is how the relationship doesn't end with the kiss, like I don't know how many people sees it like me, but I'm unable to unsee how many romance series will have the confesion as the end goal and then it stops, while here we have the relationship grow from that having the confession and kiss being just steps in it(also, I kinda of like how kissing and confessing isn't just the same step) as it naturally develops.

I've seen a lot of people get upset because of the rise in basically throwaway lumity scenes in s2b (not here, just in general), and how much more time Luz spends with Amity in s2b. First of all, this is some of the first lgbtq+ rep we've gotten in a disney show, they're gonna cram as much as they possibly can into it before the end of it, reasonably so. And second, they're g i r l f r i e n d s of course they're gonna spend more time around each other, especially now that they're not battling with their feelings for each other.
The funny thing is if it was a straight couple in a different,maybe even longer,disney show they wouldnt be complaining.
