Sad to watch. Ex heavy End worker Llanwern, S. Wales. Flattened our 2 BF's back in 2000, Port Talbot next and Scunthorpe soon to follow suit. Our country is finished😥
My old dad drove the ladle crane in the melting shop for thirty years at shotton steel works . I worked there for six months when I left school . I would sit in the cab with him . . The place was awesome . Totally mind blowing !. Nothing has ever impressed me more since then
Very sad to see this. 16 years in Ravenscraig Steelworks. We have been betrayed by successive governments. Love , health and respect from Scotland UK.
Industrial suicide. Right there.
It’s been dead for a while it was never going to be fired up again ether blow it up or turn it into a Museum
@@TableTennis4Fun-1 There used to be a lot more indrustry unfortunately :(
"Industrial suicide" it hears like a name of Godflesh's song😂
@The_Lonsdales I would of turned it into a museum and while I'm at I'll a one twice the size of that one
No more British Steel.
Ever.
Apparently it’s coming back and coming back to Teesside but I won’t hold my breath
I still miss the big chimney at Port Kembla.
why why why why
I think it's a shame!! They could give me the work!!
😭😭😭
If it was my demo I’d be annoyed the last stack stayed almost upright
@@gregorypeck876 yeah I noticed that to
it didnt go to plan...the chimney failed to go!
Yeah I saw that to I figured they will just hit it with something lol
@@TableTennis4Fun-1 yeah ben houchmans head hhhh
@@ashleighwatson8635 That'd be enough to kill anyone in sight.
it is going to take forever to remove the "hearth"
It’s alright the wind took it over to Hartlepool so 👍 there sitting on a nuclear power plant anyway so what’s a bit of asbestos 😆
I was thinking that myself, the residual iron wasn’t tapped off when it shut down in 2015, that lump of iron must be a fair size
It would have to go if a new facility were to be built.
