One is better than none. What did it look like? How big was it? Was it fresh and cool to the touch or dried out? Those may be clues as to why there was only one.
@@DADventurerNW it was very fresh and cool to the touch not dried out at all. I think it is still early for that area I was in. Lots of wild strawberry, lupine and the other green ground cover. I'll go back in a week. keep the great vids coming. 😁👍
You are welcome, love your videos! Learned a lots! I got some king and morels yesterday, had a great time! How about you! Looking forward your next video 😊
I've been waiting for the last weekend's video and here it is! Amazing hunt! Cannot wait to get out of town early on Sat and make my way to the Eastern side of MT, where I so much hope to find my morels. Haven't hunted for them yet this season, only for half-morels very early in April. I've also just watched a dozen of your videos - on mushrooms, fishing, edible plants hunting - fascinating! I'm also into fishing since I was a kid and always looking for new places and new species of fish to catch here in Oregon. Have you ever fished for white fish here? I've heard we have it here but was not able to find any information on where exactly it is.
Thank you for another great comment! I’m glad you are enjoying my videos. There is so much to do here in the PNW. White fish? Maybe I have caught white fish in the Columbia or the Deschutes River while targeting trout or steelhead. There are a lot of fish that look like them. I’ve never eaten them, but I’d like to try them some day.
Whitefish are abundant in the Deshutes and Metolius, I've also caught them in the mouth of Tanner Cr. on the Columbia which were the biggest I've ever seen or caught in my life! Good luck.
Nice chunkies! If I find any in the future that’s exactly what I’ll call them. And I’ll make sure to drink lots of water so I can get lucky when I need a pee break! 😅
I know it sounds crazy but it happens to me every time. Maybe it’s my viewing angle? And yes, “chunkies” has become a widely universal term for the big ones.
Greetings from Thailand. Enjoy your adventure but stay safe.

@@joepodunk284 that makes sense. I think I’ve caught them in the Deschuttes on the fly. Thanks for the info.
