    It seems like the shrooms here in Indiana have either already are done but not to many finds or the ground is still to cold.

    Do you guys ever take people with when you go? I'm a small to medium scale commercial mushroom harvester in the PNW and would love to learn more about some of the other wild harvest products and what it takes to do it on a larger scale like you guys do.

    Fun fact: True Morel mushrooms are a little toxic if it(True Morel mushrooms) is improperly prepared just like Puffer fish can give you food poisoning, eating improperly prepared True Morel Mushrooms have different affects on different people 😬😨😰

    • @northernwildharvest
      @northernwildharvest  3 месяца назад +1

      Yeah it’s possible to have allergies to certain foods, morels included. Cooking morels properly breaks down the compound that can be toxic. We always cook them thoroughly and over all the years nobody has had any issues and we’ve eaten a lot of morels! I recommend cooking them like you would cook chicken - no half cooked morels.

      @@northernwildharvestOn 19th July 2023(which is last year) 51 customers at Dave's Sushi restaurant have gotten food poisoning after eating improperly prepared and raw Morel mushrooms 😬😨😰🍴🍣🍄

    • @northernwildharvest
      @northernwildharvest  3 месяца назад +1

      Yeah very unfortunate. I followed that case. They were served raw and also poorly stored. Not only did the chefs lack the knowledge of the food they are serving, the business also had multiple other health violations. It’s usually a good idea to actually know what you’re serving, especially with more exotic foods.

      @@northernwildharvestI know, that is why chefs and regular people like us need to know how to cook and prepare foods correctly 😱😬😨😵🍄🍣😢😭

      @@Crazyhuskylady Yeah definitely. Same goes for foods like pork for example. I always recommend cooking them well.
