Did you do any adjustments on your steering. I've acquired a shorty as well. My steering has got quite a bit of slack so it's. Little squirrelly on the launch and on wet roads
@@doctor41baller no steering remained same as with the long bed before. I did have to add the traction bars tho to help with keeping it straight. Especially with the added power but even when the engine was stock it still needed the bars. Def would recommend them
@paulsperformance may look into that then. I was going to see about tightening up on the steering box if I can get to it, see if it helps. Just don't want to over compensate on steering if I need to react quickly. Thanks for the reply!
@@doctor41baller yeah it could have a worm out box but fords tend to have a little play in them. Not a lot though. May be time for rebuild or a new box.
Couple questions. Where did you find the new seat covers? And where did you find the dye for the dash? Im trying to restore a 04 king ranch at the moment
The seat covers came from eBay. www.ebay.com/itm/333265683975?mkcid=16&mkevt=1&mkrid=711-127632-2357-0&ssspo=gtDHfsdbSW-&sssrc=4429486&ssuid=BzsZD7ocQgm&var=&widget_ver=artemis&media=COPY And for the dye I used SEM coat. Ordered it through oreillys.
I tried a couple different ones but I think it was cordoven brown. I like the darker brown color that the newer ones have and that was the closest to it.
great job dude, this thing fucks!
Nice rig
Thanks
Thanks for the video!
Easily one of the trucks of all time
She is 🔥!!! You said the tires are 33’s? I like that look and have 08 oem 20s and want that look. Was thinking a 295/55 would be close?
Thanks and Yeah 33s I think 295 is about the same
Did you cut the frame or more the brackets forward and cut the end off?
Cut the frame. There is a straight section right behind the cab that makes the difference between a short bed and a long bed. It was like 16 inches.
What kinda mpg you getting
About 8mpg lol it gets there very fast
