Stop being politically correct when you share your problems

  • Minimizing or qualifying your problems backfires…and it’s a result of your parents conditioning you to believe that you rarely ever have a real, valid or worthy problem in life.
When you stop minimizing your problems, other people will start to treat it with respect and take it seriously, too.
You can be blessed AND have significant issues that need solving at the same time.

I found your channel last night, I enjoy your perspective. This is exactly what I have been dealing with since the birth of my third child. I am going through it!!! With a three year old who has behaviour issues and a new baby and I'm homeschooling my 7 year old. I complained about it to my best friend and she said "do you think your the only one with three kids?"...women can be bad for this, because everything is always is who has it worse, I call it comparative suffering.

Yes! This is true and we must think about why it’s true… there is this accepted reality in which SAHMs don’t get nor deserve support and I believe this leads women to become adversarial to one another. We’re all struggling to be SAHMs in modern societies bc the village is empty- how on earth does one person raise a whole human (let alone multiple simultaneously) ALL ALONE for the majority of time? And if you’re an intentional parent (picky about schools and the type of childcare) then you’re really isolated and even more overburdened! I think that the comments women make, like the one your friend did, is reflective of this attitude that’s like ‘yeah duh we’re all suffering deal with it and don’t remind me of my own suffering’. We’ve gotta change this!

I have watched several of your videos today - they all resonate with me - we have very similar perspectives on things. You know, validating myself, validating my thoughts, emotions, feelings, beliefs on things has been absolutely life changing. I started writing a book in the comment section here to explain - but deleted it lol. I simply want you to know I enjoy your videos and value the work you are doing.

Aww I'd look forward to hearing your 'books' worth of insights anywhere--here in the comments, in my email inbox, on your channel, etc. :) Thank you for taking the time to tell me you enjoy and value this mission
