I’m so impressed by how good this game looks. And konamis beef with Kojima seems to be over considering how the series producer said they would love to work with him again.
I think the beef is fake and it has to do with the surprise that Kojima mentioned back when he was promoting MGSV Phantom pain. He said that im gonna do smth that no one has done ever before in movie/game industry and till this day we haven’t gotten that. That’s bcs it’s been 9 years of waiting and after that “we are gonna awake from our coma” and he is gonna reveal smth else
because kojima's product and silent hill is the only thing keeping them afloat lol

Snakes character model is perfect.
I think his nose bridge is a little too hooked compared to the original MGS3 one but if you're mixing it with the MGSV Big Boss model, I can see why they've made it so

This remake is something I'm looking forward to. When it got announced I felt chills down my spine. I'm so glad it's actually real and that it's got such a dedicated team to it. Hopefully castlevania gets similar treatment.

Yeah, it's so perfect that it's not even a remake. It's the exact same game from 2004 that you've already played, just better graphics.
@@CHamlin86it is a remake, game is built up from the ground despite the fact tat they are replicating the game 1 to 1. It is by definition the perfect remake from everything we have seen so far.

@@corrputgamer I disagree. A remake should do something NEW. New mechanics, new weapons or items, new areas to explore, etc. See Resident Evil or FF7. Those are remakes. This game is doing none of that. They are rebuilding the game's environment from the ground up in a new graphics engine, that's great. But all the other work that went into the original is just being copy pasted here. If you can follow a guide or walkthrough for the original game and it applies to the remake, it's not a remake in my book. Everyone is clamoring to play a game they already played back in 2004.
@@CHamlin86they are adding in new mechanics and gameplay elements. The fans, including myself think that the story and voice acting was already perfect and that itself doesn’t need change, only the gameplay which definitely plays closely to MGSV (the best gameplay oriented Metal Gear)
The hud, the sounds, The Legacy game mode. Everything is perfect.

Game looks immense, Konami and mgs producer reaching out for a collab with Kojima himself. Also crediting Hideo Kojima in this remake.. Looks like some things can be fixed.
Praying we are gonna see mg1 and 2 from the msx remaked and the continuation of the phantom pain and that ww2 the boss spin off kojima wanted

Being able to move while crouching is the biggest improvement to me. I hope we don’t need to rely on the dpad for sneaking anymore and we can just slightly push forward or hold a “sneak” button
This is why I preferred the 3DS version to the original game.
@@Entrancer A mod for the PC version adds the crouch walk from the 3DS version. It's 100% seamless and feels like an official addition.
I'm pretty sure controls will be based on MGS V
I don't know how to feel about the grass disappearing right in front of you when you're hiding in it. On the one hand, I totally get what they were thinking: they're getting rid of obstructions so you can aim better, but it comes at the cost of immersion and tension. Not having a good line of sight to take out your enemy increases the players anxiety which was part of the point. And I also just don't feel like I'm really "hiding" if the tall grass around me isn't there.
Remakes that allow you to also experience something closer to the original have always that something more.
Looks great they have fixed some issues people complained about, now we have the original title menu and filters so people can use the green filter if they wanted.
I hope they add a quick camo change option to quickly change camo between a set amount to stop to many menus as that was an issue in the original.
Python is always the first to do it! Keep it up Boss.
Legacy is The MUST for hardcore vet fans.
My hopes for the future of the series after Delta (these are probably just pipe dreams but idc:)
• Remake of Portable Ops that fixes its story to make it 100% canon and bridges the gap between MGS3 (or Δ) and Peace Walker.
• A Subsistence version of MGSV that goes above and beyond the “Definitive Experience” by meshing GZ and TPP fully into one game, and finishing Chapter 3.
• Full remakes of MG1 and 2, and a graphics remake of MGS1.
Dude imagine if they plan on doing the ace attorney treatment with it's remakes. Make them widely available and unified then potentially do the next one.

I'm amazed by legacy game mode. And I love it. This game was my childhood back then.
It was perfect. Perfect! Everything, down to the last, minute details.
I am so amazed by how accurate and detailed this looks. This is shaping up to be something really special.

This game better bring back Metal Gear Online, the OG was so good back in the day. Raikov was my favorite with his instant stun crotch grab.

I'm surprised to see the same camo menu, i've heard many people complain about having to go to a menu to change it in 3 so i was expecting a quick select during gameplay, but if there's a shortcut button to go straight to it and it loads fast that would be enough.
New style with legacy filter will probably my go to.

You already played this game back in 2004. This is the exact same thing, just better graphics.
This is shaping up to be the single best thing Konami has produced in almost a decade, and by a pretty huge margin.
Up to 2010-ish games used to be really short. The only exception were Final Fantasy games which were considered huge for that era, but now they're considered normal. I wish they could find a way to make this twice as long, cause honestly i won't even realise when i reach the ending...

The fact that probaly next year we are gonna play this game in the house and the master collection vol 2 on switch (portable) makes the life easier. Just think about it , your playing MGS delta and need to go to ouside and carry your switch and play MGS 4 or 5 in the bus or anything is posible... and the amount of mods able to do will be awesome... This game can save our borrings life in this generation by himself.
Ah man, I was hoping camo/food/cure menus would be seamlessly in-world like Last of Us, and for food/cure animations to play out in real time. I think they said there won't be anymore cuts to black to load into areas thanks to the SSD, so I was hoping they would've leveraged/carried that into the menus too.
Maybe they will and only the camo mechanics stay in the menu

I doubt it, they're remaining faithful to a fault, we can see in the beginning here that even item pickups are still floating objects.

I'm glad the added Legacy Style. MGS1, 2 and 3 had really artistic camera angles with its fixed camera. I think this is something that the free camera games from today lost.

I hope there is a quick change option for the camo/facepaint. The constant stopping of gameplay and opening the menu to change it was a chore. I got so fast at it it didn't bother me. But now at almost 40 years old, I want quick n snappy!

Assuming I'm right about this, I'm so glad they're choosing to make the gameplay resemble mgsv while still adding a legacy option. The combat in that game is one of the best I've experienced and I can never get enough of it.

I remember the Subsistence version for the PS2 was the one that added the green as hell filter compared to the original release.
I really hope they change some area and make them bigger. A little suprise is always apreciated .
RE4 was refreshing altho...they cut content .

But RE4 Remake was still a longer game than OG easily if you did everything. Plus they added most of the cut content into the dlc.
This game unfortunately looks like a 1:1 recreation of everything down to the level design. Really worried it's gonna result in an even shorter game than OG given the advanced controls. I hope they expand the levels!

I can imagine my favorite game MGS PEACE WALKER being remade with new additions like mother base and online FOB missions like MGSV while having more free customization to it that was missing from MGSV.and focusing more on online like co-op.

So there will be 3 playstyles!? New, Legacy (OG Snake Eater) and Normal that looks like MGS3 Substinance with the free cam.
"Normal" is referring to the post-processing filter applied to the image. AFAIK they only announced 2 playstyles.
