Hey Coop, so far I have the folding t3 folding rack, the upper and lower pully system, 10 in log; weight plate holders, wall bench holder and there leg press attachment . I really like all of them and would buy all of them again over Rouge . Yes the paint quality isn't the best. I would rather not pay Double to have a sticker that says Rogue . Branding wont make you a stronger lifter. I do have a Fringe Sport hybrid barbell. Is there better racks and equipment out there yes but at the price I would recommend Titan to anyone. As Always thanks Coop.
I've bought a lot of Titans products and obviously the quality isn't going to be on pair with more expensive equipment (there's a reason it cost less), but certain things are absolutely worth what you pay for it. Honestly the biggest issue I have is with shipping which I'm not going to blame on them because that's not what their business is, that's FedEx's business and honestly I've had horrible experiences with almost everything I've received from them regardless of if it was shipped from Titan.
@@mr.perfectcell3843 lol. I know we're all joking and making light of the situation but it really is sad that they messed up with the same thing in his order so many times. That's just terrible
I just spent $1600 with titan. Short yoke, t3 rack, farmers handles, log, and bumper plates. Everything came on a Pallet and not one missing item or torn box.
Same here bro. Like two months ago though. X3 rack with arms, deadlift platform, 400+ lbs in elite bumper plates and the 1000lbs adjustable bench. Everything came on a pallet and didn’t look like any of the the horror shipping pictures. Only thing I didn’t get was the bar.
I will say my only complaint was all the welding/laser slag inside of my rack, yoke, and farmers handles. It was like having birdshot pellets all over my gym.
For my garage and gym, and not being able to afford rogue equipment...I love my Titan fitness equipment... whatever even if it's not the best. Or welds or this or that. It's affordable for most people and free shipping. You get what you pay for. I'd rather have Titan fitness in my garage than go to the gym and be told I'm deadlifting too loud.
Ha...exactly. I work in a corporate facility and had a customer complain about a guy making "noise" deadlifting...455lbs. I said, that is to be expected when you are lifting nearly a quarter ton. 2nd, I reminded her that our facility IS A FITNESS CENTER-not a LIBRARY. 3rd, I went on to say that once she walks over to that bar and picks it up, I would love for her to demonstrate how to set 455 lbs down quietly. That pretty much shut her the $#!# up.
I think for those who are on a tight budget they offer a viable option, as long as you’re ok with a lot of the issues mentioned. Personally I’ve never been “satisfied” with a piece of their gear.
80% of my home gym is Titan. I have always received all parts and everything went together well. I don’t mind putting stuff together because I have more time than than I do money. I have had no problems with anything I have purchased. I have noticed an increase in quality of fit and finish since I bought my T3 rack. The difference in the weld and finish quality on the T3 yoke vs. the T3 rack is significant.
Bought their 25 and 55 lb Elite bumper plates. Arrived in unbroken boxes. Measured the IDs with my digital caliper, and all were within 0.1 mm of each other. That's better than my Chinese-made Rogue plates! Bought their 1500 lb, 30 mm diameter Olympic bar. Came in a cardboard tube, wrapped in a plastic oil sleeve, same as my Rogue bar. Measured the bar in five spots and got less than 0.1mm variation. That's up to American specs. Bought more stuff from Titan and I've been satisfied with everything. Prefer Rogue but their S&H fees turn me off. Would've cost me $80+ to deliver the plates if I bought the Rogue equivalent, and I live 3 hours from their Columbus warehouse! If Rogue absorbed their shipping costs (like Titan), I would buy their products. But until then...
My Rogue Echo bike shipped free and I got it in less than a week. My Monster Lite rack took about a week and half to get here and was about 120 bucks to ship- not at all unreasonable considering it's size. Paying for shipping sucks, but their charges seem reasonable and they are fast. I'd rather have that then free shipping and having stuff take forever to get to me and orders not completed.
@@kevinm1728 I got pretty lucky I guess. They have posted 5-7 day lead times before shipping but I got my rack within 3 days. From titan fitness. Works for what I do
@@kevinm1728 I know this is a year ago, but I had no issue with Titans shipping. They packed and shipped a grand worth of stuff I ordered within 24hrs. It's expected to take a week to get here, but that's because I'm in PA and it's shipping from CA.. To be expected. That isn't Titan's fault. It ultimately comes down to how much $ you make and how much you want to spend on gym equipment. You will get something slightly better from other companies, yep definitely. For 3,4 even 5 times the price. Which is a BIG difference, especially if you're outfitting an entire little home gym. The 2 grand I just spent on machines and attachments would've been probably 5 or 6 grand if bought entirely from Rogue, for example, for more or less the same exact pieces of steel and rubber.
I might be in the minority on this, but I've not had a bad experience with them yet. I've got a wall mount rack, plate tree, land mine adapter and single handle rowing attachment for my barbell. All have held up really well so far and show no signs of potential breakage. No complaints from me and I'll continue to buy from them.
For me it's always some random small part(usually a bearing) missing. But overall i like the products too. Just be ready for a rough time if you ever do have an issue to work out with them.
Bought 2 bars and a bench from titan. All heavy duty high quality stuff. Very pleased with it. No need for fancy brand name stuff that costs twice as much.
I've notice most complaints were about a year ago since then their customer service and shipping is super quick...bought a preacher curl bench and then used my points and bought the tricept bar for cheap great quality pieces, got them in 2 days for each delivery
Hey Coop! Great videos as always. I am also in the Springfield area and have had my share of instances with Titan. I will say that I had the BEST experiences with the customer service side when these instances popped up. The Customer service rep, Katrina gave me a direct number to message and was always extremely helpful and going above what she should have done. I will still buy certain items from them, kettlebells, SSB bar(now that its redone), and other smaller items. I do have their belt squat machine, and I have made some adjustments to it to fit my needs as I am 6'3". But even with the troubles i have had, to me they are still a good option for starting off garage gym connoisseurs. Keep up the great work!
I don't normally comment on youtube videos but thought I would throw in my recent interaction with titan fitness. Ordered a t-3 rack, adjustable bench, pulley system, safety squat bar and several other misc items for a home gym I am putting together. I ordered on Sunday and after putting my order in I had actually wanted to change something on it, there was no way to do that via their website and I had to call monday morning to change it. I called first thing monday morning and by the time I got through the order had already shipped and I would need to send the item back I didnt want once it arrived, awesome that it shipped so fast, shitty that I wasnt able to change the order. My safety squat bar arrived in 2 days, with the box and item both in great shape. The rest of the order was coming on a fedex freight shipment and arrived several days later at the fedex freight facility near my house. Here is where I ran into an issue. Apparently fedex freight has to contact you to schedule a delivery, they had contacted Titan to get my information, but Titan never responded to them, I ended up having to call and set this up. That being said, once I got everything home all the boxes and items looked perfect, I don't know if this is because it came via freight and was all on a huge pallet wrapped in plastic wrap, but there was no damage to any boxes. The rack, bench, and everything else I ordered was as far as I can tell top notch and I am very happy with it.
Nicely summed up. How should someone know which ones may be okay to buy and which are crap? That's where this channel and community come in very handy. Personally, the only Titan piece I haven't minded is their mini bar jack. That's pretty hard to screw up.
They must have changed since this video was made. I recently got the X-3 flatfoot rack and was very pleased with everything. The packaging was more than adequate, the parts were all in good shape and I didn't see any evidence of the crappy beads on the welding I hear people talk about. I even had to return my safety straps and order new ones and that process was easy to do, they emailed me a return label I took it to a Fedex drop off facility and I was done. There was nothing wrong with the safety straps except I ordered ones that were way too long, I'm not even sure why they sell the 30" safety strap as an accessory for the X-3. How can a strap catch a bar while benching if it has 8" of droop in the middle.
I am glad to see you made this video. I love Alan Thrall's RUclips channel and he is a great guy. However, I have had nothing but good experience with Titan Fitness. Plus, it has allowed me to build my home gym without breaking the bank. Rogue is obviously the superior choice, but, Titan is a good affordable option for those of us earning under six figures a year. Great video Coop!
Honestly, I can’t stand dealing with issues likes the ones I’m hearing from others about Titan. It’s just too much of a pain and really gets under my skin. With that, I would rather pay more, but get it right the first time (Rogue, EliteFTS, Sorinex).
I've made 5 different orders with Titan and everything came on time and in good condition. I think people expect too much from a "budget" company. If you want perfection, go with another brand.
I bought a pair of Sandwich J-Hooks from Titan, and one of them is slightly "Crooked". Calling them to resolve a situation like this takes hours on the phone. So I didn't bother.
Titan sent me a full dip stand after the one I had ordered didn’t have hand padding on the one side. All I asked for was for a tube of the hand padding to see if I could put it on myself. They said no worries we’ll just send you a new one. So I gave the old one to my BJJ gym. I got no issues with Titan fitness, they did right by me.
My God your editing skills are great. Came here to hear you out on Titan Fitness, left thinking that's probably the best intro I've seen and heard on RUclips
My entire home gym is Titan, including their X3 rack and SSB version 2...and it all works DAMN Good! Some of the boxes were beat up on arrival, but all the equipment was undamaged (I even had all the bolts). There may be a weld or two that isn't perfect, but I couldn't care less - it's a WEIGHT rack! I also needed to return a couple items (I kinda overdid it) and found their customer service to be excellent. I am not a commercial gym owner, just a guy trying to (safely) lift at home. I feel Titan products are solid and well made and I couldn't be happier... AND, I saved a boat-load of money not buying from Rogue.
Thanks Coop, two years later I can still say almost what you've said. Its hit and miss but the customer service is fast from my last 4 months experience and they will send you missing parts or give partial refunds for things with a quickness.
They got a new CEO that you interviewed. He said they cut half of their products so maybe he weeded out the crappy ones. They make more plate loaded machines and now have cable machines that are viable for home gyms. Before that you would easily spend over a grand on a home gym machine. In fact I don’t think there is alot of “home gym machines” that are commercial like. People usually get used commercial pieces. These are too heavy for most people. But if you’re smart you will probably find another way to do the exercise instead of getting a set machine in your gym because usually home gyms are limited on space. That’s the reality. Even if you make it as cheap as possible, space is still a concern for most people and a reason why they don’t start working out at home in the first place.
Bought T3 tall 36 inch, big hex bar, and SSB all seperate orders. Each time I ordered the item shipped same day and arrived on my door 2 days later. Boxes in great shape and reinforced with plywood in some spots and a TON of styrofoam. Zero damage or missing parts so far and nothing but fast and free shipping.
I’m a new lifter at 135lbs. Bought the t-3 rack on sale for $360, overall good piece of equipment for me as a new lifter. Not worried about anything breaking because the weight I’m lifting is so light. Also, the holes on the horizontal 2x3s on the t-3 are not properly aligned...but no attachments are really go there so no direct problem for me. If I had more money would definitely invest in better equipment but as a young newbie I’m glad titan fitness is in the marketplace providing a service for people like me. Obviously, you shouldn’t judge a company based on how well their products work for the 1% that can use their equipment with no worries. That being said, about to order the new FID bench resembling the Rep Fitness FID bench. 😅 hope it isn’t shit.
@@ah7027 gonna buy Reps 2x3 next instead of Rogue or better. Good quality steel and components, just Chinese. I was really impressed with their power bar
There are other inexpensive manufacturers besides Titan Fitness, like Rep Fitness and others. Maybe review some of their equipment instead? (Thanks for the critically honest review Coop.)
I'm not going to win any body building competitions, and I'm not going to break any strength records. I'm an average Joe that focuses on fitness and healthy living to look good and feel good as I age. I'm also cheap! So for me, Titan Fitness has been a fantastic option. I'm more than happy with ugly welds and imperfect powder coating.
With all of the gyms closed down in my area, I decided to go with a home gym setup. I spent a few grand on titan and everything was delivered within two weeks. No issues with missing parts or bolts or destroyed packaging. This video is 2 years old- so I’m guessing they’ve fixed their notorious shipping issues....
It is budget equipment like you said. Expect no thrills. I like to pay a premium or at least pay more initially and not regret it like you said in your building a garage gym video. Because if you buy a titan piece that isn’t that great and don’t like it you will throw it out like I did and be looking at better equipment. This may not always happen but I think it’s bound to happen
I have been putting together a small home gym over the past several years. The one Titan product I own is their wall mounted pull-up bar. Since it was a gift I asked for Titan rather than Rogue as it was close to half the price. The closest comparable product at Rogue is their P-4 system. I have been using the bar several times a week for about 4 years and it is still solid as ever. I love pull-ups and hanging movements and also use it as a ring hanger. I have never used a comparable Rogue pull-up bar but I do love the Titan model. My experience matches your statement that it can be good for a starter home gym setup. Also it's only 3 pieces so there's not much to get wrong. I do remember the packing looking like it had been through some stuff. Thanks for the video.
Only issue I had with Titan was ordering their V2 Football bar. Was supposed to get it within a week and received an email it'd been lost in their warehouse and didn't know when it would be shipped so just requested my money back and was going to buy one from Rogue. So I ordered the Rogue (for quite a bit more money mind you) and then out of the blue my Titan V2 showed up on my front doorstep a week later, even after they had refunded me. Needless to say I returned the Rogue. Since then I've purchased Titan's T3 power rack and love it. So far no issues with the j-hooks. Even got the monoliths for it. Thats all I have from Titan. My home gym is a hodgepodge of equipment from different manufacturers, Powertec, Valore, Body-solid and Cap. Thanks for the video Coop!
I definitely have not had a very bad experience with Titan. I bought an X3 Rack, 300lbs of Elite Oympic BP's, and a number of basic accessories for under $1600. I did send back the original Safety Squat Bar and Mutigrip Bar because they were terribly made. All products were delivered pretty quickly and the boxes were not completely shredded. The flat foot rack is perfect for my basement set up and is very solidly made. I splurge $ on Rogue barbells. All in all, I was able to get a fully functioning, good quality home gym that can be added on to for about $2K. I appreciate Coop & Alan for their channels!
I've stopped purchasing from Titan because of their shipping and customer service. And I don't think I'm being spoiled when I expect to get the products I ordered and spent money on in the timeframe they agreed to.
Well dont order from too many companies other than rogue. You'll be waiting for months from most companies. It's the fact that basic things like holes not being aligned.
As you said, I got my first squat stand from Titan. If I were to do it over again, I would have bought a full rack, and possibly from another company. IMO, it also depends on what level you are at. If you're lifting under 300 pounds, Titan will probably be good enough. If I became strong enough to squat 3-400 pounds or above, I would definitely save up for a reliable Rogue rack.
Damn, you would figure Titan has your orders flagged Coop. So they can put more effort into shipping and making sure all components are included. Especially since you will review them/provide feedback.
I actually had bad customer experiences with Rouge (GHD missing parts), Titan (Swissbar), EliteFTS (SSB), and Strength Shop USA (bad welds on a SissySquat) :(
My only negative (not bad) experiences with Rogue were on two separate occasions receiving the Ohio Power Bar and Westside Power Bar when the caps at the end of the tubular packaging popped open on one side and my bars had fallen out during transportation. The bars’ end caps came all scratched up and the ends of the sleeves were dinged and marked up (an eye sore for sure, but did not affect the performance of the bars in any way). Rogue, however, made it right by offering to either take the bars back and ship replacements or sending me e-gift cards for the troubles. I took the gift cards and purchased more merchandise with them. The situation was handled professionally and I was pleased with the outcome.
Thanks for the video... I want to buy my home gym from Titan Fitness but I’m so scared of these horror stories. I would def prefer Rogue Fitness but it’s a huge price difference buying from Titan than buying from Rogue. Just bought a new home and I already have enough expenses. Tired of paying for Gold Gyms and I just want to save time and workout at home. I generally just stick to Bench, Skwatt, DeadLift, OHP, Barbell Row, Pull-up, Dip, RDL, Sumo, and Curl. Guess I’ll have to keep reviewing until I make my decision.
@@AAmm-uv9gm yes, I am still very pleased with the T-3. Bought it in October 2017 and have had Zero issues with rack. Heavy squats, slamming the bar when bench pressing, rack pulls and pin presses. It has head up to all.
l love Titan Fitness! I've got the X3 flat foot rack it works just fine no issues what so ever! Just got thier new v2 Safety squat bar for $174.00 and it's awesome. Their customer service is also a hundred percent better than a year ago. They ship quickly only takes three to four days after placing an order for delivery! Yeah, they're made in China but steel is steel! never had anything break on me yet. Great company for affordable quality gym equipment. Sign me up to win that new Titan series rack! I'll take it... 😀
I got an adjustable bench and x3 flat foot rack from Titan. The bench came scratched and with the wrong hardware, but the rack was perfect. I was pleasantly surprised
Completely different experience, but I just recently ordered gymnastic rings from titan. Got it in two days (ordered through Amazon). Came in a sturdy box, good straps and buckles and the wood rings are smooth and sturdy. And they are priced 20 dollars under their competitors. Given that experience was so good, I'm glad you and Alan warned us about their higher end products.
I purchased a 3-IN-1 WOODEN PLYOMETRIC BOX and one side didn’t measure what it was supposed to... it was shorter and I emailed them with pictures of proof and they gave me a refund and told me I didn’t have to return the defective one.... I guess I can use it to sit... my experience with their customer service was good
My brother had an issue with one of their cable/pulley towers and they replaced the part and had it delivered within a week. I think their customer service has greatly improved.
I have a combination of rogue, Titan and elitefts products. You just can’t beat the price of Titan fitness, but you have to lower your expectations a little bit.
Same with me I have a Titan rack along with a good amount of the rack accessories all fine. But my bars are Rouge and EliteFts.I think certain items need to be from the well known companies but some things like the racks can be from a company like Titan to save a buck here and there
@@SuperStormking totally agree. Some pieces of equipment matter more than others. I want to spend money in the places where quality matters most, like bars. A cheap rack with a high quality bar can work great, but the most expensive rack won't make up for a crappy bar. Do your homework, figure out where you need quality, and go to Titan for everything else. Titan Fitness: It works, and that's about it. Also, their shipping may suck, but it's also free. There is something to be said about that when Rogue wants to charge you hundreds just to get the thing to your house.
My X2 w/extension took too long to arrive, box was busted up, some paint scratched off, the extension piece was lost in transit for an extra week. But once I got it... I had a 9 gauge 6 post walk-thru rack with 8 plate storage pegs for less than $500. Which is awesome.
You are 100% correct, it is gateway equipment. I have a lot of Titan gear - it was a cost effective way to build a really decent home gym from scratch, and so far I haven't had any issues (after about 1 year). I have used tons of gym equipment (commercial and home), and I think Titan is great for a lot of the small gym equipment (medicine balls, wall hangers, cable attachments, etc.), but I recommend investing in a big name brand rack and bench.
Great video, and agree with much of the commentary. FWIW, nowadays I did notice on the J-cups when I ordered a squat rack from Titan, it appears they added additional rib structures below the portion of steel that supports the bar for added strength (which don't exist in the video at 3:49). Probably in reaction to reports that they were breaking. Welds are not super pretty but.......it works.
We have a few pieces of Titan equipment in our gym. Overall, like Coop states, it is fine, but the Rogue items are much higher quality. We have the mass storage rack, kettlebells and a mace. Nothing with moving parts or anything that could be a safety issue. The welds are just ok and every time we have received something it has had chipped paint.
just as you said Coop! I agree that some products are good and some products are crap! your reviews help incredibly. The Shipping has been my worst experience to this point.
I bought the weight tree and received it with a massive scratch and damage to the top. Filled out the form requesting a refund a week ago with pictures. Haven’t heard back from them. The packaging was a joke. I immediately ordered a tree from Rogue. Arrived in excellent shape and the powder coat finish is much better. I will never order from Titan again.
I have their multigrip bar and an Olympic weight tree. I agree Coop, they’re just ok. The MG has basically no knurling whatsoever so I have to use gloves cause it doesn’t stick to my hands at all. It’s not too big of a deal cause I use it maybe once a week, so it was worth it for me cause ya not a barbell. The weight tree wobbled quite a bit but it does its job. Overall I would only recommend Titan for things that you wouldn’t use on a daily basis so I could not recommend the racks, barbells, benches and weights.
I was totally expecting you to throw Alan under the bus, but damn when you kept coming back with "yeah, I wouldn't recommend it" Thanks for the honest review, my man
I purchased a titan Olympic powerbar and a competition regulation bench. So far, I love both of them. Their shipping does suck ass, however and how do you mess a barbell up? I have squatted regularly over 500lbs with no issues. It is the 30mm bar. Not much flex at that weight and good knurling. The thing I loved about it is that it was 150 dollars cheaper than the Ohio bar, which is what I wanted but couldn't afford. They are 2 for 2 with my home setup.
I've got a bunch of stuff from Titan. T-6 rack, flat bench, axle bar, multi-grip pull-up bar, and a couple more things. I haven't experienced the night mare of things showing up with pieces missing yet so knock on wood there. I have my rack bolted to the floor so it's nice and steady for me. I can understand Alan's frustration with Titan, especially since he's a business owner. You don't want to waste time going back and forth with a supplier to get parts for items you've already paid for. I'd rather spend more and have the piece of mind that your parts will all arrive as scheduled and you KNOW that things will work properly and not gamble on MAYBE you'll get lucky and all your parts arrive at the same time. However, as a home gym owner, you just can't deny the cost benefits of Titan. My next purchase I'm considering is replacing my used Troy weights with all Titan Elite training bumper plates because there's not much there you can mess up on. I don't have any of Titan's barbells except for the axle bar. I'll rather get used Rogue bars off craigslist
I have an X-3 Power Rack with a few add-ons. For what it's worth, I really like it for my home gym. We are a power lifting family, so it gets legit home use. No problem with assembly. Everything fit. But the packaging for shipment sucks! They have started an online feedback survey for purchases, which was pretty professional.
I recently got their t2 rack. Some of the welds aren't too pretty, very slight wobble that was easily fixed, but man what I paid for it, you can't beat it.
I ordered the same thing. How was the shipping? When I ordered it was supposed to be 5-7 lead times before shipping but got it in 3 days. The welds look fine. No outer porosity or anything like that. Nothing to be worried about anyways.
I have a titan 2 short stack in my basement. I’m 5,1 and my basement has low ceilings. First, I got extra bolts for my stack. 👍🏻. The only issue I had was that one of the top sidebars did not fit well when I was bolting it in. My daughter had to lean on the post so that I could put the bolt thru both the post and sidebar. But I’ve had no other issues and it suits me fine. But now that I’ve found your channel, there are so many things I want!!!! Some girls love clothes and makeup, me, workout equipment!!!! ❤️❤️❤️
I bought a rogue R-3 rack a couple of years ago instead of a Titan rack. Buy from the name brand guys on your big important stuff, like racks, barbells and bench. Went to fringesport for some cheap but good quality bumper plates..
Bought my whole garage gym from titan. No missing or bent pieces. Not even a missing bolt. Finish is better than I expected. Instructions leave a lot to be desired though. I got one of the wall mounted folding power racks, so install was a bit tricky
Titan is a company where it seems best to make a low cost purchase to get a better feel for the Titan experience. From there you can decide whether or not it's worth continuing to purchase. My initial purchase from Titan, I sent back and that was quite a process. I vowed never again, until there was a sale. Somehow that sale led me to buy more items from Titan, but that was also coupled with lowered expectations.
Great video! I would love a more in-depth explanation on why you feel the Titan belt squat is a poor piece of equipment and you recommend someone to steer clear of purchasing it. I was thinking about it for my home gym but based on this recommendation along with many other negative reviews on Titan I'm having second thoughts. Rogue has their stand-alone Monster Rhino Belt Squat for $1750 and it's very tempting to just spend the extra $1200 and get a piece of equipment that you know will be top-notch.
I have two titan pulley towers. They weren't the greatest. They stick out farther from the wall than necessary. V2 wobbles like crazy since it's only anchored on top. V3 still wobbles. The included handles break pretty quickly, but are easily replaceable. The pulleys are cheap and eventually break as well... BUT with a little TLC, they were def worth the
Just got a Titan hex bar today through FedEx. Shipping package was in good condition. Got the equipment in 8 days and it was back ordered! However, shouldn't be screwing up packaging on a simple piece of equipment such as a hex bar. This is my first experience with Titan. Hex bar looks well made. We shall see.
J-Cups breaking is a big red flag. I know the local gym here had pins from J-Cups ripping of from EliteFTS racks too - it's a really good gym with their own blacksmith though, who welded it and fortified it. I wouldn't buy either of them. That's a death trap.
I’ve had great experiences with Titan so far. I’ve bought a T-3 rack, landmine attachment and 24” extension for T-3 rack. All came with every part needed and the rack does everything I need it to do. I’m even looking for more equipment from Titan on Black Friday deals. Still eyeing Rogue as well since I need some more bumpers. 👍🏼
In my opinion, Titan has improved their customer service in the last two years since this and Alan's video have been released. I've ordered from Titan multiple times (barbells, weights, squat rack, etc.). If I didn't like what I bought, I simply returned right away. The process was usually seamless. That being said, I would definitely pick Rogue or another company over Titan fitness for the essentials: Squat Rack, Barbell, plates. Accessories like bar holders, weight trees, other stuff don't matter all that much.
I think it's more about reasonable expectation management. You have have a million dollar lifestyle on a $100 dollar budget. There is a reason rogue is the industry standard. And there is also a reason rogue's prices are what they are. You get what you pay for. Titan could have better customer service if they increased their prices. They could have better fit and finish if they increased their prices. They are a budget fitness company, both in the quality of product and the quality of service.
My only experience with TF is some updated X3 J cups. Read the reviews first. The general consensus on them was that the rollers might not roll as they should I could expect to have to remove at least one and trim a little off. Bought them anyway. No problems to report. J cups worked out great. Fit, finish, function. My next purchase will be some 5/8” chains. Waiting for them to become available. Baby steps. Maybe they’ll have their act together whenever I’m ready to buy my first full power rack.
I am a professional assembler of fitness equipment. I was hired to build an economy reverse hyper for a client. Took me 45 minutes to decode the bolts scattered all over the bottom of the box and the instructions are not included, you have to go to a website that is no longer supported, but I figured it out. All in all the machine was decent. But why not just print or produce an owners manual cost me a lot of time.
I love Titan Fitness. Great equipment at good prices. I have their dumbbell stands (not sure why no one else has split stands you can step between), seated calf raise, safety squat bar and Bulgarian squat roller. I use them all regularly they work really well. Good customer service, too.
I bought an X3 rack with extra plate holders from Titan back in March 2018. Didn’t have any issues at all. Rack was shipped quickly and all the parts were fine and was easy to put together. Looks great, works fine, and saved me a lot of money compared to the comparable Rogue rack that I was considering. However, I just received a letter from Titan informing me that they were hacked and all of buyers info has been compromised (credit card info etc.) Titan has agreed to free credit monitoring for a year from Lifelock. So for what it’s worth . . .
My only Titan item is my deadlift jack. The UMHW plastic doesn't like to stay put rotates around the bolt that holds it in). One bolt came stripped and had to be replaced. The replacement bolt was a power rack bolt, so it's got a lot of excessive length to to. Functionally its fine though. Titan Fitness. It works.
I ordered a flat bench and the cushion was basically destroyed. The box was ripped up and damaged from shipping. They did send a replacement pad but it took forever. Also there were no bolts included to put the bench together. Also ordered a. Sled and actually it seems to be ok. We don’t use it that much so the plastic sleds haven’t worn out yet. I wouldn’t feel comfortable ordering a rack or bigger piece from them. The quality just isn’t there and in the end you do get what you pay for.
Titan X-2 power rack and Rackable Camber bar are actually awesome and affordable. The X-2 is welded and solid probably most under rated item i think they make. Rackable Camber for 90 sum bucks is rock solid.
I bought a circus DB from Titan a few months back. It's the only thing outside of Rogue I've ever purchased. I will not make this mistake again. The dumbbell was crooked when it came in and the powder coat was flaking right out of the box. Buy nice or buy twice is a pretty good rule to live by when buying equipment if you ask me.
I've spent close to $10,000 with rogue, rep, and Titan. I have an x-3 rack and a pr4000 rack and the only real difference is color and maybe a little better welds which I would have never even noticed if it hadn't been mentioned so much. My stuff from rogue has had the most beat up boxes. I have titan x3 roller j cups, x-3 straps, storage system, ssb, x-3 rack, multi grip pull up bar, mini deadlift jack, rack platform, gripz, rackable hex bar, weight storage pins, and more I'm sure I'm forgetting and the only quality issue I have had was that I had to use a pipe wrench to screw one of the handles in on my ssb
Just bought a new house that has a dedicated room in the basement for an in home gym. I am just starting to scratch the surface of "garage" gyms and oh boy is it a rabbit hole. I can already see the dollars flying out the window. This is going to be fun!
Coop, i don't know if you have any experience with the titan X2 rack but i have one and it is seriously an amazing rack. I personally think that rack is by far the most underrated option for a home gym owner, you should check one out if you haven't yet.
I've bought two things from Titan. The t2 rack dumbbell stands and the t2 j-hooks for my no name 2x2" rack I got off amazon years ago. Both were packaged well and had no obvious flaws. I think if you're really worried about Titan shipping and quality just buy single piece items from them. Thinking about picking up that SSB it ever comes back in stock though.
Own a titan 45 degree back raise, warped and Bent basically day 1. Have their economy reverse hyper on the way. Also been waiting on a 100lb kettlebell for 6 weeks now.
I have had quite a few issues with them, I think what bothers me the most is when I ordered my rack from them I wasn't able to use it for awhile. This was because of missing a crossmember which to me is bothersome when the return around time is very long. In other words you get what you pay for and I personally won't use them ever again. I have sold it and bought rogue. Rogue was pricey, and for 90% of people it's not necessary but for me lifting is important and part of my daily routine. I want products that will support my addiction.
Do you HATE Titan Fitness? Do you LOVE Titan Fitness? What are your experiences with the company? Let me know! 💪🏼
Garage Gym Reviews I’ve had mostly good experiences. Had some lemons but have gotten replacements plus some in return usually.
Bought a lot of stuff, no issues. Packaging is crap, except for the D Balls, they were crated!
I had some issues but they did replace it.
Overall for a budget price not bad
I've bought a lot of Titans products and obviously the quality isn't going to be on pair with more expensive equipment (there's a reason it cost less), but certain things are absolutely worth what you pay for it. Honestly the biggest issue I have is with shipping which I'm not going to blame on them because that's not what their business is, that's FedEx's business and honestly I've had horrible experiences with almost everything I've received from them regardless of if it was shipped from Titan.
How DARE you challenge me!!
Good video, Coop.
hey jesus
Check your mail box Alan, you should be receiving another pole for your sled 😂
Thanks for being cool with it!
@@mr.perfectcell3843 lol. I know we're all joking and making light of the situation but it really is sad that they messed up with the same thing in his order so many times. That's just terrible
Think untaaaaaaim!!!
I got a prowler from titan recently. No poles, they sent them all to Alan Thrall
😂😂😂
Looool
That’s hilarious!

LOVE THIS LMAAOOO
I just spent $1600 with titan. Short yoke, t3 rack, farmers handles, log, and bumper plates. Everything came on a Pallet and not one missing item or torn box.
Good to hear!
@@ronnieshackleford2959 i got that too!!
Why would a torn box matter?
Not to mention the garbage Amazon Cages as an alternative.
I think for those who are on a tight budget they offer a viable option, as long as you’re ok with a lot of the issues mentioned. Personally I’ve never been “satisfied” with a piece of their gear.
Definitely. They make functional equipment that does sometimes have issues. It's expected at the price point.
*Well said Campbell Fitness!*
Thatsbur opinion I've never had problems with titan in 6 years
@@mikep3322 Agreed
Because your obsessed with overpaying and getting everything rogue. At least you came around since then and like their ssb bar
Chet Volz so is the Yoke higher quality? I’m trying to build a garage mini gym and I’m debating either getting a tall yoke or the T3 Rack,
These guys are Rogue nazis. Rogue this rogue that. Come on.
@@luisvr57 come on man*
Bought their 25 and 55 lb Elite bumper plates.
Happy to hear that. Hate when people get something different than what they expected.
For me it's always some random small part(usually a bearing) missing. But overall i like the products too. Just be ready for a rough time if you ever do have an issue to work out with them.
I ordered a dip attachment for my t3 squat rack (which I love BTW) and they sent me a desk top......weird but they eventually sent me the correct item
You should travel to Sacramento and make a video reviewing Alan Thrall.
I'd love to! Seems like we train in a similar manner.
Garage Gym Reviews Come on Coop, we all know you don’t even lift.
"And like Alan was, I was enthralled with the price"
I see what you did there.
@@Skoolofrocknhop yeah my delivery was fast af
Glad to hear you've had good experiences. I've noticed when coming in on freight, there have been few issues.
I LOVE MY X-3. More than what I need for a home gym.
Love my X-3 too! Weirdly when I bought my home gym setup I had more issues with REP shipping than anything from Titan.
I got a t2 rack and is great for what I do everything is going good so far
to this day alan thrall is still receiving poles from titan fitness hahahahahaaaahhh
So you're saying he's still getting the pole?
Or is he getting the shaft?
@@shoeflytoo lmao what did you assume?
I bought a pair of Sandwich J-Hooks from Titan, and one of them is slightly "Crooked". Calling them to resolve a situation like this takes hours on the phone. So I didn't bother.
"Titan Fitness: It Works" God damn, Coop, that's cold lmao
Titan sent me a full dip stand after the one I had ordered didn’t have hand padding on the one side. All I asked for was for a tube of the hand padding to see if I could put it on myself. They said no worries we’ll just send you a new one. So I gave the old one to my BJJ gym. I got no issues with Titan fitness, they did right by me.
Being a cheaper less sturdy product is ok, but having things that don't even work and not immediately fixing it is not.
My God your editing skills are great. Came here to hear you out on Titan Fitness, left thinking that's probably the best intro I've seen and heard on RUclips
Thanks brother! I work hard!
I'd wait for Reps new adjustable bench. It looks great!
agreed I've had much better luck with rep fitness items than titan fitness.
We definitely have and will continue doing so!
Hoping this is the case.
I bought their Lat machine in November of 2019 and had no issues at all; works very well.
Was trying to make a similar point above, I would rather invest in a barbell than a rack... Especially if I'm not an elite lifter
Yeah, I'm weary of that happening and maybe they will in the future, but for now, I've had similar experiences as Alan.
I actually had bad customer experiences with Rouge (GHD missing parts), Titan (Swissbar), EliteFTS (SSB), and Strength Shop USA (bad welds on a SissySquat) :(
Yeah, all companies are prone to messing up. But it's the volume and how they respond that makes the biggest difference.
I have had to replace the pad in the rogue safety squat bar 3 times. The padding is shit.
Old af comment but what did you get? I got the T2 and it works fine for me no issues. Just curious.
I got a Titan HD T-3 rack with a few attachments over a year ago. I have had zero issues and absolutely love it. Maybe I got lucky?
Yep same here got an X-2 last black Friday and have not had issues. Love that rack
Now that some time has passed are you still happy with it?
@@AAmm-uv9gm yes, I am still very pleased with the T-3. Bought it in October 2017 and have had Zero issues with rack. Heavy squats, slamming the bar when bench pressing, rack pulls and pin presses. It has head up to all.
l love Titan Fitness! I've got the X3 flat foot rack it works just fine no issues what so ever! Just got thier new v2 Safety squat bar for $174.00 and it's awesome. Their customer service is also a hundred percent better than a year ago. They ship quickly only takes three to four days after placing an order for delivery! I got an adjustable bench and x3 flat foot rack from Titan. The bench came scratched and with the wrong hardware, but the rack was perfect. I was pleasantly surprised
Most of my gym equipment is from titan. All is great and works and does job to make myself stronger. Zero issue with titan.
Definitely, they're incredibly low priced and for some items, that's great.
Agreed I bought the incline bench for incline and it is cheap but I only do incline a few times a year so can’t beat the price point
Same with me
I have a Titan rack along with a good amount of the rack accessories all fine.
Eleiko, Eleiko, Eleiko, Eleiko, Elekio,- Rouge, Pendlay, Hammer Strength, Inotech, - problems gone!
My X2 w/extension took too long to arrive, box was busted up, some paint scratched off, the extension piece was lost in transit for an extra week. But once I got it... I had a 9 gauge 6 post walk-thru rack with 8 plate storage pegs for less than $500. Which is awesome.
I loved your comment "Gate way drug to home gym ownership", I think it's very accurate and a great perspective on it.
Lol he dead ass said it should be their slogan, ".....it works".😂🤣😂🤣😂

"It works"
I was totally expecting you to throw Alan under the bus, but damn when you kept coming back with "yeah, I wouldn't recommend it"
Thanks for the honest review, my man
Alan has a good reason to be upset. I've had some good experiences with Titan and some not good. It just depends on the product.
@@GarageGymReviews but why do we keep supporting companies that can't consistently offer good experiences
Titan rack with mono lifts. All parts came. Sturdy once bolted. Have had 600-700 lbs on hooks once a week at least for over s month. No issues, YET😑
If you got extra bolts, somebody is probably missing theirs. ;)
Stephen Krieger LOL. you’re probably right!!!
Great video coop...Totally agree. I do have to say titan fitness has definitely stepped up their game over the last 3 yrs.
BUT with a little TLC, they were def worth the
Most respected response to another video I have ever seen on RUclips
Just got a Titan hex bar today through FedEx. Shipping package was in good condition. Got the equipment in 8 days and it was back ordered!
However, shouldn't be screwing up packaging on a simple piece of equipment such as a hex bar. This is my first experience with Titan. Hex bar looks well made. We shall see.
"like Alan was, I was enTHRALLed with the price" : nice one!
Alan really is not their target demographic.
I don't think consumers should be accepting of this type of customer service in today's marketplace.
With a low enough price, consumers will expect much less than you'd think.
No matter how budget a piece of equipment is there is no excuse for breaking jcups ,straps ,etc safety must come first
Titan X-2 power rack and Rackable Camber bar are actually awesome and affordable.
Have heard that multiple times from that product. Sorry that happened!
I have a T2 rack, camber bar, and axle. All have served me well and I plan to continue using them until something bad comes up or I out grow it.
Ordered a kettlebell from them. Never received it. Finally just gave up. 85 bucks gone swirling. First time. Last time.
Worst experience ever when ordering from Titan. Ended up canceling everything and paying the extra money for Rogue.
