Used to watch the Team Edge vids when I was younger but I now I followed along with my dad who taught me the love of woodworking. It’s like Joey follows me everywhere I go. 😂😂
I genuinely think these hour + long diy videos are the way to go. There’s a ton of woodworking/maker channels on yt and they don’t usually breach past 45 minutes or they’ll make a multi part series. So there is probably a gap in that “market” so to speak for hour + long videos that people can binge
The fact that he involves stories along the video makes it more interesting. So basically yeah , I don't think there's any one who's showing "fun" while talking about something completely unrelated haha. My advice, just do what you are doing while talking about life in between sometimes lol.

The sawdust in your ears, etc, hits home. I used to work in a millwork shop at a lumberyard, during hs and college. Worst job there was emptying the sawdust bin, which was a building bigger than a 1 car garage, maybe a 2 car garage, and considerably higher. Had to go in with shovels and work all the sawdust onto a conveyor belt that we dragged in the door behind us. It was especially great in the summer. Sawdust literally everywhere on your body, and stuck to you with sweat. Thank God for the compressed air hoses in the shop. Don't miss those days, except I was really buff from all the lifting heavy lumber all day most days. Popeye forearms from all the manipulating big heavy boards all day, planing, ripping, trimming, etc.

Ive said to the same great woodworking youtubers you've mentioned that the pain, emotions and struggle you put into these types of projects shows in the very best way possible. @@manmadecrafts there's a really good work shoe brand called "Shoes for Crews" Our auto shop has epoxy flooring, so oil and any other fluid makes it a slip-and-slide. I bought their shoes and the special sole they use keeps me grounded like it's nothing. (Doesn't mix the mess issue, unfortunately lol) Genuinely impressed with it and the pricing on them is great too. I 100% reccomend them

Just stumbled on this channel, and I am very happy that I did. The stories, alongside the goofy jokes, the completely avoidable problems, the stubbornness and everything else that is shown.. it's so human and relatable, while also making everything in the video seem achievable. It's really cool how you took such a mundane concept and made it this absolutely gorgeous work of art. I'm not great with words, so I hope this made at least some sort of sense, but the video really inspired me! You took an existing thing and gave it a completely unique (and borderline insane) spin, and that's something that I can sincerely appreciate. This is probably the most beautiful table I've ever seen and now I want one, I think these 1-2 hour videos are definitely the right way to go, I've never watched any wood working before, but this was a very interesting video, and I loved that you kept your failings in, I think woodworkers trying to learn from RUclips like you have would really appreciate seeing that not everything goes perfectly 10/10 video
Oh my I'm in love with this table. I'm a sucker for waterfalls. I love them. I purposely do waterfall hunts and make goals to visit them. This video kept me in tune and wanting for more stories. I laughed so much my face hurts. I'm always on RUclips watching resin videos. So glad I found this. Now binge watching your other videos. Lol sharing them with my Christian families I'm spreading the word.

The perseverance with this build is unreal. Even with the setbacks, you still pushed through and made a beautiful product. Side note for the "free" jacuzzi, I was looking at small trucks to buy and someone was selling their "deceased son's" Toyota Tacoma, immediately thought something was up and ignored it. Why? Usually with vehicles and deceased people, the family will want to keep it for themselves. Sentimental value has no value, it's priceless.

I call em "Quality of Life"(QOL) tools. The wiring pulling kit, QOL tool! This ties in to time management and family time. Where the balance is between being prepared or just hoarding tools....well you let me know when you find it. I'm sure if I sat down I could determine a metric for price of the tool compared to time/hassle savings and there's likely a sweet spot there in the interaction. The lacquer fiasco! There are so many channels that showcase their many years of woodworking experience. Builds that make you think "that's so cool I should do that". This channel represents the reality of that thought 😂 It's so relatable and, as someone that always messes something up, it's incredibly helpful to see what went wrong, why, and how to fix it.
The end product looks really amazing. I bet you will appreciate it all the more as time goes on. It's a real highlight of your yard, and you made it yourself. Pretty awesome.

Never in a million years did i think id be looking forward to a diy construction channel to upload, but here we are. I love the spins youre taking. Like between the construction and almost 1 long vlog. Its an excellent idea and for some reason this content makes me feel like a kid again. Which is weird because this doesnt relate to me at all, but i get a comforting feeling from watching the making of the workshop to this one. Now onto the stair office!
The only thing that comes to mind for a change would be a remote pump. Think pool pump. Run two pipes from your catch basin to where your going to have the pump. One for intake and one for discharge. You could use a semi rigid hose to give you some flexibility and prevent the intake from collapsing under the suction from the pump. This would allow for having the noise of the pump away from the table. You could even enclose the pump in a sound reducing housing. But beyond the noise of the pump, the table looks great. Far better than I could ever hope to do.
From the last video alone, opening up about Lyme disease and bringing more attention to it I subscribed right away. Been a long battle with it myself. Keep up the good work.
This video was so well done. With all of the candidness about the mistakes along the way, my expectations were set a little low. So the final project being so amazing actually made me a little emotional. Totally inspired.

Your kids in your videos should be a must. just a quick cameo like the one where he was helping dad with the rocks. he did an excellent job. if I ever need any rocks to be moved and placed somewhere, I know who I am going to call. Its adorable. Nothing cringe about it.
I didn't check the total time of this video before watching it, can't believe I've just watched a whole movie's worth of diy. Since it was a suggested video I knew it had to be good, but every step of the way I kept thinking it would turn out badly. In the end I'm so impressed I would actually love to try to copy that, it looks great!
After seeing you trip over yourself time after time, I started to doubt that you would finish it. I still continued to watch, however, and I'm really glad I did because the table looks absolutely gorgeous. Honestly, I never thought it would end up being as beautiful. The sound of the water falling on the rocks made me feel as if I was relaxing by a waterfall. I truly loved it. Congratulations on such splendid work!
Whenever I worked with resin pours and had leaks, I would use got glue. It tends to work, but bear in mind, Im a miniature modeller, so my resin pours are much smaller, but its worked for me in the past even for larger projects. That said, my dude, this looks awesome!
I have the highest respect for your Honesty with the true cost of your projects, so few people are willing to admit the actual amount they spend on projects that they've videoed for youtube, especially when it's obvious that the enormous amount of cost did not necessarily produce an equally Enormously cool End result. There is definitely something to be said for ingenuity and creativity That develops when trying to accomplish something on a very shoestring budget, yes it's a bigger pain in the **** but can also be more satisfying when you made something amazing for a couple $100 instead of multiple thousands. At least for me.

This is probably the most beautiful table I've ever seen and now I want one, I think these 1-2 hour videos are definitely the right way to go, I've never watched any wood working before, but this was a very interesting video, and I loved that you kept your failings in, I think woodworkers trying to learn from RUclips like you have would really appreciate seeing that not everything goes perfectly 10/10 video
Oh my I'm in love with this table. I'm a sucker for waterfalls. I love them. I purposely do waterfall hunts and make goals to visit them. This video kept me in tune and wanting for more stories. I laughed so much my face hurts. I'm always on RUclips watching resin videos. So glad I found this. Now binge watching your other videos. Lol sharing them with my Christian families I'm spreading the word.

Side note for the "free" jacuzzi, I was looking at small trucks to buy and someone was selling their "deceased son's" Toyota Tacoma, immediately thought something was up and ignored it. Why? Usually with vehicles and deceased people, the family will want to keep it for themselves. Sentimental value has no value, it's priceless.

My biggest issue with this project is how much noise that pump makes. It completely overpowers the relaxing sounds of the waterfall.

I call em "Quality of Life"(QOL) tools. The wiring pulling kit, QOL tool! This ties in to time management and family time. Where the balance is between being prepared or just hoarding tools....well you let me know when you find it. I'm sure if I sat down I could determine a metric for price of the tool compared to time/hassle savings and there's likely a sweet spot there in the interaction.

Never in a million years did i think id be looking forward to a diy construction channel to upload, but here we are. I love the spins youre taking. Like between the construction and almost 1 long vlog. Its an excellent idea and for some reason this content makes me feel like a kid again. Which is weird because this doesnt relate to me at all, but i get a comforting feeling from watching the making of the workshop to this one. Now onto the stair office!

The only thing that comes to mind for a change would be a remote pump. Think pool pump. Run two pipes from your catch basin to where your going to have the pump. One for intake and one for discharge. You could use a semi rigid hose to give you some flexibility and prevent the intake from collapsing under the suction from the pump. This would allow for having the noise of the pump away from the table. You could even enclose the pump in a sound reducing housing.
But beyond the noise of the pump, the table looks great. Far better than I could ever hope to do.
From the last video alone, opening up about Lyme disease and bringing more attention to it I subscribed right away. Been a long battle with it myself. Keep up the good work.
This video was so well done. With all of the candidness about the mistakes along the way, my expectations were set a little low. So the final project being so amazing actually made me a little emotional. Totally inspired.
This man wholeheartedly told the story of how he got scammed by someone with the PayPal of "insatiablecowgirl" but was shy to say he liked miniatures. It's always so interesting to see/hear what others are embarrassed about. Like, I'd be completely opposite in the telling of those two facts 😂

Your kids in your videos should be a must. just a quick cameo like the one where he was helping dad with the rocks. he did an excellent job. if I ever need any rocks to be moved and placed somewhere, I know who I am going to call. Its adorable. Nothing cringe about it.
The fact that you have 1.5 hours of stories to stretch this video out is more impressive than the table.

I didn't check the total time of this video before watching it, can't believe I've just watched a whole movie's worth of diy. Since it was a suggested video I knew it had to be good, but every step of the way I kept thinking it would turn out badly. In the end I'm so impressed I would actually love to try to copy that, it looks great!

After seeing you trip over yourself time after time, I started to doubt that you would finish it. I still continued to watch, however, and I'm really glad I did because the table looks absolutely gorgeous. Honestly, I never thought it would end up being as beautiful. The sound of the water falling on the rocks made me feel as if I was relaxing by a waterfall. I truly loved it. Congratulations on such splendid work!

Whenever I worked with resin pours and had leaks, I would use got glue. It tends to work, but bear in mind, Im a miniature modeller, so my resin pours are much smaller, but its worked for me in the past even for larger projects.
That said, my dude, this looks awesome!

I have the highest respect for your Honesty with the true cost of your projects, so few people are willing to admit the actual amount they spend on projects that they've videoed for youtube, especially when it's obvious that the enormous amount of cost did not necessarily produce an equally Enormously cool End result. There is definitely something to be said for ingenuity and creativity That develops when trying to accomplish something on a very shoestring budget, yes it's a bigger pain in the **** but can also be more satisfying when you made something amazing for a couple $100 instead of multiple thousands. At least for me.

Also I just watched 3hrs of Man Made and it was worth every minute.
