I had it - it was so much fun. We have today new fancy PSR E463, but PSR27 over 30 yrs ago had ACCOMPANIAMENT VOLUME on the panel (now baked somewhere in menu) and TRANSPOSE to shift your song half step up quickly. Good old days!
I was in my basement looking for speaker wire when I found this keyboard so I brought it up to my bedroom and played around with it for several hours. This is a gamechanger for me because I always had casio keyboards that were extremely basic and olney had a tone bank of 50 instruments. I use this alongside my casio Pt-10.
I remember teaching Keyboard Students for ANZCA Keyboard Exams who owned these Yamaha PSR keyboards. Interesting times. The Music School had sophisticated Kawai and GEM keyboards in my studio - great because they could be "dumbed down", with certain sections turned off, depending on the level of the student
In my country FM PSS and PSR sell very quickly and expensively, the tuba sound is used to replace tubists in many musical traditions here.. But they don't know DASS :)
This keyboard would sound far better put through an EFX unit and multi track recorded. Could U perhaps record a multi track demo with this keyboard please?
I just bought one today. It has no midi in nor out. Is there a way to get these sounds recorded onto a track? Must i use a microphone to record the keys i play? Im assuming i can get an adaptor in order to connect the headphone jack into my interface?Advice from anyone would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!
You can record from the headphone adapter, the way I do. It is to get a double headphone adapter, that way I can plug in my headphones and keep listening while an identical signal can go to the recording equipment. A lot of my videos are made this way.
@@gearfacts Your neighbour Malaysia and it costs USD 100 brand new (70 for more kids targeted Remie & F-30 boards) as I checked on the local instruments store here:)
Geees I had one of these when they came out as a kid, told my mum to take it back to the shop and buy me a casio ct-680 as it was crap compared to the casio.
Great sounding keyboard, amazing to think that a low end home keyboard can sound like a dx7.
I agree. A few of the PSS series do it pretty well too :) GF

it was my first keyboard and I still have it🤩! It works in perfect condition 33 years later
A keyboard that were looked after should last for centuries, literally :)
I’ll have to look out for one of these as well . Cool sounding board .
Sounds like the PSR-37 I used to use in a band as my first keyboard. I really miss some of those sounds, appreciate the tour!

Cool. I think everyone interested in keyboards should experience the DASS system, even just as a history lesson :) #gearfacts

I am still yet to review a GEM keyboard after all these years in the biz. Done a few Kawais though :) GF
@@gearfacts I still have a GEM Piano Workstation, not currently set up due to lack of space, and miss playing it a lot. Awesome instrument

Первый альбом группы Красная Плесень был записан на этом инструменте.
и не только
Wow this is really cool I would like one
It's all about that DASS system. Several old PSR modles have it and it's really good :) GF
It is awesome very unique sounds thank you for your wonderful advice and awesome videos
Angelico Palazzi Thanks AP, much appreciated :) GF
That sound at 04:28 is very like a sound called ' Alien cam ' ( i think) from the Roland D50
I've never tried a D50. Your comment has given me a bit of insight into what it might be like. Eventually I'll get one :) GF
I have the boutique D05 version, which has all the original presets plus all the sounds from Roland's pcm cards

I did this one: ruclips.net/video/fUQ6nNwpnV8/видео.html
I think DASS went on to become AWM2. The chip in this synth is as the ones in SY22/TG33. I can hear some similaresque sounds
"Similaresque" - nice word!

I just found out i have this one but i have no idea how to use it :) i think we lost the manuel 8 years ago
Nice sound! Please review the modern reincarnation of PSS, mainly the A50:)
Yeah I'm really looking forward to their release which I believe is next year. Excited :) GF
@@gearfacts It's out now from where I live, but I could wait from you:)
@@FirdausIdros Ok, are you in the USA? What's its price?

musicbliss.com.my is a good start. You may inquire them if they are able to ship internationally:)
my second synth
Ahhh the 90's :)
How did you record the sound from piano

Nice of her to do that, and a good exchange for sure.
You still have it
nope, I rarely keep anything
it sounds exactly as psr-28?
Yep, same.
Can you do a review of a Yamaha psr 2500 please and demo song
Yep, I've already reviewed it. If you search "Gearfacts PSR-2500" on google or youtube, it should appear :) #gearfacts
Can I use your phone number
One last I need to know your name
i like, cheap volca fm
Yeah I made a couple of videos about the Volca FM :) #gearfacts
Lool I painted mine red
Nice! There should be more gear-painting in the world!
@@gearfacts I agree
Do you still have the Yamaha psr 27 and can I use it
Yes, you can have it to keep, I don't need it
I need your phone number
Can you bring it
Старье такое.
True!
