I have this same set of QoR watercolors.....love them! I agree, their vibrancy is fantastic. This was a great video, by just using this set, you've shown how you can take these few colors, and by mixing them, letting them bleed together, dropping colors in here and there....you can come up with a beautiful painting! I find the hardest part is to do a first wash, another after it dries, and then a final tightening of the painting. Through your classes and videos, I am learning to be more patient. Thank you, Angela!
You are an EXCELLENT teacher...impressed by your ability to explain details without being arrogant; you are very creative..glad we found you. Thank you.
I learn so much watching your videos. So much fun to watch. Thank you for all your time and information you give to us. We are very fortunate to have you.
Angela, this painting is so beautiful and I enjoyed watching you paint it so much. You are a great teacher! Thank you for the review of the Pigments, and the lessons of brush strokes and how to avoid hard lines when we don't want them. I am such a beginner and this video was packed full of great information for me. I love your work. God bless.
I'm now learning watercolor and I had not thought of using the flow to shape before putting in the details great flow and energy I love the pallet the colours are so vibrant too..behind the flower to the right it looks like Sundays beautiful x
Thank you so much for being such a sharing artist. Your painting is lovey. Being able to watch you and listen at the same time is invaluable! You are as lovely as your paintings.
There is something so magical about watching a pro vs an amateur. This was a pleasure to enjoy, thanks! I have some QoR and haven't dipped into them yet, and feel excited to break them out after this video. :)
Painted along with you, so much fun. Love these paints. I learned that paper makes a big difference. Started out with a student grade paper and it wasn't reacting in a good way, so switched and Ta Ra... Thanks so much for sharing your knowledge. Suzi
I just bought some QoR color because of you! (It's a good thing!) Re-watching this, I realize that I also got the high chrome colors! I tried them a bit today but it's no where near as beautiful as the paintings you do! I need to practice more! (another good thing!) I also realized that it's your trip to Ireland now. Have fun & enjoy Ireland. ...again YOU are my fav online teacher!
Thank you Angela I love how vibrant the colors look on your beautiful painting. I have been trying some of the Danial Smith colors you use. I have only used Winsor Newton for years so I'm having fun trying new colors
I'm so glad I was able to watch this video. The whole process was intriguing to me as I have wanted to do more of this kind of painting myself. Thank you!
Beautiful painting. Great advice about toning down the technique you used with the cling film. I laughed at 12:59 when you said: "oh look, she used the cling wrap technique!" I think this is something some artists can overuse or keep too obvious in their paintings. I think you used it masterfully.
Excellent! It was great timing to find your QoR review, since I'm planning to set up my palette with my new Qor colors tomorrow. You're work is so lovely and you really made these colors sing. Thank you!
I just stumbled across your video today and am subscribing to your channel. I bought this set and a basics set of Qor a few years ago but only dabbled a bit one time until this week. I learned a lot from your video and also got helpful reminders. Thanks!
So Beautiful! I am experimenting with smaller papers ;-) I want the QOR palette when I break my piggy bank again. I have a diverse and beautiful collection, and think carefully before I buy. They got me with that palette ;-)
Thank you so much for an amazing demonstration! Watching this painting take form has me in awe. I stumbled upon this as I am researching the Qor watercolors. I will be heading out to purchase a set in a day or two. Thank you, again. ❤
I LOVED how You demonstrated the QOR brand I just got my 1st 6 box 'intro" 6 pk i was thinking of just returningut watching U I changed my mind. your were the :"High chrome" set & there is 3rd set "Earth" Thanks for your vidio.
great lesson for qor set I already have!! and great clearly marked palette too..i love the finger tendrils with these paints!!, good to see your use of water pots too Angela..but do you not use paper towel to take excess water off brush!???, great artwork thankyou
Really enjoying watching you paint. Thanks for the top tips from a skilled painter. Ive just started using watercolours, its a different ball game to acrylics! Where is your paint pallet from, its a great design, love that it has large mixing areas. Wonder if I can buy it in the UK?
I am a beginner, with way too many paints - lol, but I do have a number of the QOR paints. I liked mixing the teal with the pyrrole orange / red. In the right wetness / thinness, the heavier teal would separate out and give interesting granulations. I could not mix grey using the orange, but I could with the red.
Really enjoyed this demo & review - even tho Qor has been out for a long time it's still refreshing to watch their flow coupled with you loose style. However I'm saddened that the flow seems to come at the expense of no granulation. Mixing with other brands with high granulation has helped to overcome that, tho diminishing the flow a bit. Have you found that to be the case as well Angela?
This is so beautiful!!! I would give anything to paint like you!! I could watch you all day! I was really loving your Fridays! Hope you have some more soon!!! Someday Im going to really improve watching you!!! ❤️
I'd like to see your full palette in the demos so I can see your techniques of adding water, mixing the paint etc. I struggle with the water to pigment ratios. When you added the first yellow blob, had you added water or straight from tube? Thanks!
What an amazing lesson, showing us all three layers to build a complete painting, thank you so very much! One thing I am still confused about however. Sometimes you start with an completely saturated piece of paper and add more pure pigment. In this case, you started with dry paper and added very diluted strokes of paint. I don’t see any real difference in the outcome. Am I missing something! Thanks again.
Loving this. Could you be a little more specific about how much water is either still on the paper or how much o Is on your brush? I don't see you dabbing the water off your brush on a paper towel. Thanks!
what palette are you using here? Are you using the High Croma set? I just got the QoR tube set of High Chroma, using your video as inspiration! Thank you!
Hello Angela. I’m learning so much by watching your videos. I see you have emptied your tube of paints into the pans. And I saw on another video that you just moistened it by spraying them. I think this is where I’m going wrong. I only squeeze out what I think I will need for my project and add 10-15 drops of water and mix. I guess that is why I’m not getting the bright brilliance of the paint as you do on the paper. I’m a little worried about leaving the paint in a palette as it will dry out and crack in a plastic palette. Am I suppose to add a watercolour medium or something to prevent this? Also, should I be using a palette that has a lid to it? Is plastic ok or should I try to find ceramic?
Angela Fehr Thanks Angela. This has been the most helpful explanation I’ve ever had. I always felt I was wasting too much paint and I do use professional paints so it’s expensive. Now I just need to get myself some good palettes.
Except very cheap and reallly hopeless to USE colors, it seems to be difficult to find good watercolors here in Norway. There is two shops here in Oslo that offers, Sennelier, Old Holland, windsor & Newton and Cotman. The colors are very expensive too. It is kind of frustrating to try to paint vibrant, loose paintings with this restricted "palette". I've checked eBay and and Amazone, but they often say: Not for sale in Norway. So it is difficult to follow the colors of your pallette. I so would whish somebody would sell Daniel Smith here. That would have made it easier to get good result following your teaching. I would be happy if you could mention Windsor & Newton alternatives to Daniel Smith. Love your lessons, though and try to follow, I learn a lot. Just have to do some adjustments concerning the limited kind of colors I can Get here in Norway. 😀👏💐
Have you tried dickblick.com? I know they ship internationally. I'm not sure how expensive it would be. This is what came up when I tried to place an order to Norway: "This is an international order, so we can't calculate shipping charges while you wait. You'll receive an email within 3-4 business days confirming actual shipping charges. You'll need to reply with your approval before your order will be processed. Please note that these charges will not include taxes, duties or brokerage fees related to shipping your order from the U.S.; you will be responsible for paying these independently."
Angela, I saw your comments with another viewer discussing granulation. I'm a beginner and I don't know what you mean by granulation. Could you explain it to me please?
O.K. Thank you so much for clearing that up for me. I have seen this with some of my earlier attempts. I love your video and am looking forward to trying the QoR paints. You are very talented!!
I was thinking about getting a small set of these paints, but after seeing those "spider legs", I'm going to pass on the QoR set; I'm not a fan of them. I like your painting though!
I know some people don't like those fingers but, I find them fascinating. My mind's eye starts flashing all the texture possibilities. 💡
I have this same set of QoR watercolors.....love them! I agree, their vibrancy is fantastic. This was a great video, by just using this set, you've shown how you can take these few colors, and by mixing them, letting them bleed together, dropping colors in here and there....you can come up with a beautiful painting! I must say you paint loose better than most. This is beautiful.
You are an EXCELLENT teacher...impressed by your ability to explain details without being arrogant; you are very creative..glad we found you. Thank you.
I am so happy you decided to highlight Qor. My favorite paints just because of the magical fire works display that you get every time.
Green gold is my most used colour and of course magenta and Indanthrene blue. :)
Angela , you are amazing how you create such beauty from no starting point. I love the beauty and the colours.
I'm addicted to your lessons...I've been away and haven't listened to you for 3 weeks! I missed you!
I learn so much watching your videos. So much fun to watch. Thank you for all your time and information you give to us. We are very fortunate to have you.

I really, really like the way you explain the amount of water to use. I like the same colors you do.
I think this is the most beautiful painting you’ve ever done Angela, I just LOVE it!!!
You have really shown the beauty and wonderment of QOR 👍 I hope that you do more demos using this amazing medium 🎉
I'm now learning watercolor and I had not thought of using the flow to shape before putting in the details great flow and energy I love the pallet the colours are so vibrant too..behind the flower to the right it looks like Sundays beautiful x
Absolutely gorgeous. Thanks Angela
Thank you for teaching me how to relax and allow the paint to do what it can do.
I adore qor! It is such beautiful paint! Angela, this painting is stunning! You teach so much ad you talk, I just love it.
Thank you so much for being such a sharing artist. Your painting is lovey. Being able to watch you and listen at the same time is invaluable! You are as lovely as your paintings.

I've watched this video a couple of times. Just love it.

I LOVE this Set!!!!!

I just love all of your tutorials....
AHHhhhhh...waiting before detail....I must be patient !!! I Love the way you do what you do, with watercolors!! Thank You
I love these vibrant colors! Your painting makes me want to go buy this set & try it out. I love seeing how the “mess” becomes beauty!
Very lovely painting, with super nice teaching style.
Thank you for this demo, Angela. I had bought the QOR high intensity set a couple of weeks ago, and now I know how to begin to try it out!
Excellent! It was great timing to find your QoR review, since I'm planning to set up my palette with my new Qor colors tomorrow. You're work is so lovely and you really made these colors sing. Thank you!
I love the color combinations and loose way you painted this! So many good tips too!
I was fascinated watching this painting evolve, and slowly but surely fell in love with it. Thank you. 💞💫
Thank you Angela it is always good to watch you paint
InstaBlaster.
This was a lesson in so many things! Thank you!!! Fabulous!!!
Yep, that pigment sure has a great whoooosh factor! Great demo, tells me everything I need to know. Well done, that woman!
Those tendrils remind me of how water freezes to form frost on glass! 😃
These colors are beautiful! I've yet to try these out, thank you for explaining QoR watercolors! Love the painting too!
Absolutely beautiful! Very interesting and very well explained................
Awesome! Pure magic. Thank you for sharing.
I really like this technique and am inspired to get busy having more fun!God bless and thank you Angela

Just love watching u paint...I'm still practicing with your course...and learning a lot about watercolor which is soo much different than acrylics
Thank you so much for an amazing demonstration! Watching this painting take form has me in awe. I stumbled upon this as I am researching the Qor watercolors. I will be heading out to purchase a set in a day or two. Thank you, again. ❤
Love the way you play with color
Lovely!!! I missed your Qor Summer Watercolor Challenge. I do love their pigments... I will have to look for it in 2018. Thank you!

Hello, very good tutorial. Could you advise me why my watercolour painting looks chalky? I use W&N transparent with only Lemon Yellow apache.
This is so beautiful! Thank you:)
And helpful too!

So pretty
Very Pretty, I will try this!!
I
what palette are you using here? Are you using the High Croma set? I just got the QoR tube set of High Chroma, using your video as inspiration! Thank you!
HAd you 'stretched' or prepped your paper first? What weight of Rough? Thanks!
I wish you would do a video on color theory I don't understand how you choose what colors go together best
Hello Angela. I love your style. And I love QOR. I’ve been using myself for a while. Please could you tell me where you got your palette?
Angela Fehr thanks kindly. I would have thought it was ceramic. Can you recommend a good ceramic palette from Canada?

like the explotion the paint
How much would the tin cost in Canadian Dollars?

very cool
What brush are you using?
Thanks for your video. You can see you are inspired by Jean Haines. Keep practicing ok.
Wow, these seem to flow so much better than other brands. Magic indeed, but not enjoying the fingers tendrils
Chrystine Martin I
Wow
I love your painting, but I don't like the tendrils that paint produces.
Angela, I saw your comments with another viewer discussing granulation. I'm a beginner and I don't know what you mean by granulation. Could you explain it to me please?

Rough paper, 3.10 time. Roughness gives the textures.
Beautiful!!
