Cheers for the video. Just found out if you drop the bulb-holder down the back it falls out the bottom, and if not just remove the 2x Torx screw on drivers side below gear stick to give it a bigger opening for it to escape!

Thanks for the video. I have smallish hands but there isn't a lot of room. I was removing the stereo anyway and found I could get my right hand in a fair bit.
I made an extractor tool by fitting an Allen key into the square end of a small 8mm socket. I wrapped tape around the key until it fitted fairly tightly, fitting the short end of the key into the socket. I followed the advice re using blu tac and it worked. Take care not to drop the tool or the bulb!

Excellent advice. Been puzzling this one for a while. Yes I dropped the 8mm socket but had taped a bit of string to it for easy retrieval. V helpful vid. Thanks.

Very useful video thanks. Did you replace the bulb holder as well as the bulb. I've managed to drop the holder and bulb into the void under the panel and need to buy a new holder. Problem is Renault don't do them anymore and there are lots of variations. I wondered if you might know where to get a replacement.

Successfully fitted the bulb using your tips, thanks for that. But still no light. I guess there maybe a fuse issue, any idea which one that would be?

      Thx,
the bulb only will only light up when ignition is on, it doesn't work off the lights switch, hope this helps.

@@masterman007 cheers for the quick reply. Have tried with ignition and lights on but still nothing. Maybe a dodgy bulb but I suspect it's something else

Does the radio need to come out at all? Sounds like it can all be done from behind the display bit next to the radio?

Torx socket is much better. It holds really tight. It's good to tie with long thread the socket. Design of this is hopeless IMO.
