Thanks for doing this, if it were to work at all, this would not be the way to allow the electrons to flow. For instance, if the electrons were stimulated on the surface from the sun then putting a coil around it would just short out the current flow...

Hi respectful sir when you wind the copper wire on cd for making solar panel. You need to remove the complete insulation on copper wire and then you wind 46 turn and also you should use dark blue color cd where you find the silicon.
Now check it will show the elections flowing.
Also in this you need to use a gelly solution ( do the research and find out the solution name, it cheap cost)
Do all the process properly and then you demonstrate to educate every one in the world.
You need to learn boss...,

Your video is really informative. if anyone can make solar cell like this why the scientists are working days and nights making such expensive silicon solar cells upgrading everytime. many people are saying to check the numbers of turns but that do not make any sense if they have 46 turn and shows 9 volts by only 1 cd then the two cds connected together in this video must have atleast 8 volts.

Thanks for proving what I've been thinking and what most here that know a thing or two about electronics already know. Copper wire coated in varnish on a polycarbonate surface that makes no contact with anything, whether chemically through some kind of bond or through conductivity, metal or otherwise can't conduct electricity no way, no how, not a chance in hell. Yet, these guys get on RUclips to make lengthy videos showing bullshit. It amazes me the time and dedication they'll put into making these bullshit videos.
Yep, rubbish. Just get a cheap new or better still tested used panel.....there are in theory so many from older PV systems which need to update...but many of the panels still produce useful power......keep your CDs attached to cheap plastic string only to scare the birds off your soft fruit instead... !

(THE FACT is: one CD/DVD with 40 coil only produce 0.017v - come on!)
