- Smallville actors John Glover and Sam Jones III gave a virtual panel through Wizard World Virtual Experiences 2020 to talk about the show, their careers and answer fan questions.
John Glover played Lionel Luthor, father of Lex, on Smallville, but he is also known for his roles in Shazam, Scrooged, Batman & Robin, Brimstone, The Good Wife, Evil and as the voice of the Riddler in Batman: The Animated Series.
Sam Jones III portrayed Pete Ross, Clark’s best friend, in Smallville, but has also appeared on ER, Blue Mountain State, Glory Road, Krews, Home of the Brave and Army Wives.

Wow it's awesome to see Sam Jones III (Pete Ross) again and doing well. When Pete left, that was an emotional scene between him and Clark because he was his best friend and kept his secret at all cost. Eventually it took a toll on him.
John Glover is soooooooooooo great as Lionel. I mean you can understand why Lex became such an evil person. Without his portrayal, idk if you could look at Lex's transformation into the cold, cunning man he became as an adult.
Great to see these two.

You can tell how devious Lionel was based off the hair length. The longer the hair, the more evil he was
His doppelganger had the longest beard of all cause he was way more evil
The only brother on the show and AA/Black fans loved him.
We loved everyone else too, of course, but Pete literally felt like a cousin. So happy to see Sam is healthy and well. ✊🏾♥️
Oh yeah, and Black don’t crack! (unless you’re on crack and sometimes they don’t crack either! 😂)
This is my most favorite show ever. And I love that the actors are so warm and love their fans and love the show and I love that they said how much it inspired other people and helped other people. That is so awesome! :D
hahaha. The way he slipped straight back into Lionel's skin for a split second was absolutely fantastic.

Great comments, he looks great Sam Jones the third. They should interview him more, and now that every episode is on Hulu I'm rewatching all of them. Of course John Glover is always great but I haven't seen Sam Jones in a while and that's cool to see him.
i wish sam was on the panel with tom, micheal, and kristen. johns done some cons with them but its been forever since pete was with the gang! why didnt u get sam jones with the full smallville cast?? scheduling issues?
Most likely. Obviously the bigger the group the harder it is to get everyone with the same free time slot even without time zone issues.

@@pinkystinkinc3475 His role on the show was pretty racist. I mean... his name was "PETE." He was basically cast as Clark's pet. I'm sure he thought it would be a better role when he took it.
@@langstonquin I did hate how he was kinda sidelined as a character but up until recently that was kinda always the fate of black characters in majority nonblack shows. The comic relief, buffoon, or irrelevant side character.
@@langstonquin Everything is racist to people nowadays. It seems Sam doesn't have the issue that you clearly have with it. He was also the first person to learn Clark's secret so in the beginning he was clearly intended to have a large role .
Good virtual panel with both Sam Jones and John Glover. Are you planning to do more Smallville virtual panels? If you are, can I make a suggestion or 3? Can you do virtual panels with one with Michael, Tom, Jensen & Justin and the other with the people that made up the Justice team Kyle, Lee, Alan, Justin, Aliana, etc. & Tom please? Maybe Smallville cameos? We want to see how they're all doing.

Wtf… sometimes u can get away as being nice when u compliment an old friend who u haven’t seen in awhile and say u haven’t changed when grays and wrinkles have started to develop BUT this is truly insane.. Sam looks EXACTLY the same….. WOW!!!!!!!!

Sam is cool and I loved him as Pete. Haven’t seen him in anything after that. I checked out his music... if you want to call it that. It’s just dance beats. Vocally it’s not that mature. It sounds like what the 20 year olds are doing now. Not to my taste. Sorry Sam. I wish you luck with it.
He was in season 1 of Blue Mountain State before he got arrested.
based on the way you described it, i dont think i actually need to look up his music to get a vibe for what it sounds like.
im not one to judge a book by its cover, but from other sam jones iii YT vids ive seen him in, he definitely still acts like a kid (im a bit surprised he's 39 now)
