- In this video lecture we have briefly described the timeline of development of the maxillary second permanent molar tooth. This video lecture includes timeline of development of maxillary second molar (initial calcification of the tooth, crown completion, age of eruption, and root completion). We have also described the number of the permanent maxillary second molar in three tooth numbering systems (Universal, Palmer and FDI tooth numbering systems). We have also described in detail the morphology and key identification features of the maxillary second molar from all aspects.
