I wonder if you'd be kind enough to share a video or some written comments helping me to better understand how you go about inventory management please? I didn't know you could add different t-shirt options to one listing, like the example of the toddler tee vs. the adult tee. Do you have a video that shows how to do that? Or instead of linking it from the print on demand store, are sellers adding it in on the Etsy side instead and then going in and manually fulfilling that order?
    Also, thank you for this video. I have really wanted to do kind of a bi-monthly subscription box but with my finances that may be a little tough to get out there. These gift boxes are the perfect way to test the water... so appreciated! I'm so this notification made it to my phone!

    How important do you think product descriptions are? For me, as a customer, I just want to see the pictures and the specifications. I wonder how much attention people, especially men, pay to the listing's description. If you think they are important it would be great if you did a video on composing descriptions for Etsy :D

    • @EcomHannah
      @EcomHannah  Год назад +3

      You want to explain exactly what the customer is getting especially if you have a drop down menu, it just covers you if the customer ever wants to come back and complain. It also helps so you can include more keywords in your listing.

    Concerning the holiday / event store, how we would be able to define a costumer avatar if we will try to sell to everybody ? isn't it what most valuable youtubers advocate to niche down in order to have a well defined customer avatar so that we can have good average and Recurring clients ?
    If you help in this matter it would be much appreciated

    • @EcomHannah
      @EcomHannah  Год назад

      So a holiday specific store is super niche more niche then most POD stores. I wouldn’t recommend just doing Christmas only or something like that. Not all niches have high return customer rate where if you are selling stickers or something B2B you have a super high RCR. Buyers looking for holiday specific merch is pretty specific but if you want to narrow it down even further you can I just wouldn’t recommend for POD model specifically since it is better to scale horizontally

    Great video, Hannah! Going into 2023 and per your experience so far in POD, What are your thoughts on focussing on a single POD vertical like apparels(t-shirts, hoodies, socks) and then creating designs for multiple niches like sports and outdoor enthusiasts designs, dog dad and dog moms, baby & mom tees for this single POD vertical ? Or would you suggest sticking to only 1 niche rather like a POD store for dog owners and selling different POD items like tees,mugs,stickers, hoodies etc for multiple breeds and multiple designs on this store? I believe going into 2023 it will be extremely important as a store owner to go all in on presence on social media channel due to increased competition on Etsy so I am thinking if I focus only on 1 niche then it would be much better for my social media strategies but would like to hear your thoughts on the above since you have years of experience in this POD space, thanks ahead of time!

    • @EcomHannah
      @EcomHannah  Год назад +1

      I have to agree with you I think the deeper and more creative you can go with one specific customer avatar in mind is better then trying to produce for anyone. BUT a lot of people take the other broad approach too. If it was me though and starting for the first time I would do like you said and go as deep as I can speaking to one customer before trying to branch out.

Or just that you can't have two shops selling womens shirts? Thanks for clarifying!!

    I love most of your content but the advice to list as fast as possible is false. That will just tank your conversion rate. It takes Etsy 1-3 months to rank your listings. If someone was to upload a 1000 listings in 3 or even 6 months. That person's conversion would suck so their Etsy rank would drop like crazy. Slow and steady wins the race. 1000 listings should take 2 years ish. By then growth would be steady and sustainable. Marathon not a sprint.
