Once again Jeff you came through! Showing me a great tool & deal. I was going to buy the Norco 3000 but now I got both TonDon 3K & 2K for still less money than buying the Norco.
Now that I have a empty space in my truck’s toolbox where my cables would be. I wonder what truck or RV tool I’ll need next, Lol!
    Thanks again!

These things have come a long way. I’ve had a Tack Life T-8 Pro for a few years now. It’s much smaller than either of these, but it has never let me down. Biggest thing I’ve started is a 5.7 liter gas engine, I’ve used it to run camper slides in and out, and jumped dozens of vehicles.
I recommend it to anyone who asks, but I think there are a ton of great options these days.

Thanks for the coupon deal Jeff! I snapped up the 3000A right away. $123 is a steal. I'm also a big Topdon fan and own their Phoenix Elite scan tool which has been terrific. I would like to see you review Topdon's Tornado 30000 battery charger. If you are doing long diagnostic sessions (tuning?) with a scan tool, you need a charger like the 30000 to keep a clean and steady voltage supply. I have seen old school type chargers damage scan tools and accessories. Thanks again!

When working in roadside assistance, I used a Noco battery starter, I was able to jumpstart 16 vehicles on one charge and inside of a 24 hour window. I’ve also seen it hold a charge for six months with a lithium battery. I’m team Noco. 🤷🏻‍♂️

I might consider it but if I bought one I would have to epoxy something onto it to clamp the leads onto the case with, I bought the Noco because those cables that unplug drive me nuts for some reason, I use them for work so I want to be able to just chuck it in my tool bag, I don't want to disassemble it and neetly put it back in its own special case every time I use it, as far as performance goes this looks like it's actually better but the Noco feels more like a tool in that regard

2:23 - 2:43: On both restarts there's a kind of chirping or grinding sound. That's the alternator going bad. I had that identical issue with the alternator on my 03' BMW E39 530i. Two months prior, I only heard that noise on cold startups but the car started and ran perfect. When running warm the sound vanished. Luckily, while less than a mile from home I was almost stranded and suddenly lost power. It would crank but not start, no clicking sounds and all lights shown bright. My friend gave me a jump and I barely made it to my driveway. This is a common warning sound of a "soon to totally fail" BMW alternator. I replaced it with a brand new (not rebuilt) Bosch 120 amp alternator. All is back to normal, no more chattering sound's when starting.

I got the nexpow 2000A in January. It works great. I needed something to start the Maxima that I haven't been started in over 10 years. It would attempt it over a dozen times on a charge. But I think the engine isn't getting gas because there is zero gas smell after cranking it for many minutes.
The only thing I don't like about this starter is that it won't work if there is no battery in the vehicle. I had to fool it by connecting a 12 volt cell. It just needs to sense 12 volts before it will let you start the vehicle. Annoying.

This is the first time I've used a promo code on Amazon but it looks like to get it to work it has to be at the 109 price. They have a different promo for prime members that drops it down to 89. Not a bad unit but I just wish all of these companies would list honest, real world, values for the specifications. There is absolutely no way this thing can put out 3000Amps peak at 12Volts. They are also listing an incorrect mAh capacity since the battery is only 88.8 Wh so at 12-16V range this thing is only a 6Ah battery. The 24000mAh is from them adding the capacity of all 4 cells together but that is not how battery capacity works in series.
3000 Amps peak would be 36 KiloWatts of peak power and that would be impossible for the size of the wire. 6AWG wire has a fusing current of 668A before it melts and even 4AWG is only 945A fusing current before it melts. A 4.8L V8 with good compression and no battery is only going to take, on the high end, around 400-600Amps peak at 12V to turn over and this drops down to 100-200Amps once the engine begins to rotate. The connector plug for the cables also appears to be similar to an EC8 so the max current rating for those is likely 190Amps continuous so the peak isn't going to be much over 700-800Amps.
