Oh wow this makes my heart sudder for a new album. I've got to understand the context of this song. With that being said, this is quite the beautiful feeling song. I get the feeling that this is an expression of love in it's depths. A theme APC hasn't really touched on since the Mar De Nom album. This feels very intimate.
I saw apc for the first time in april,was so thrilled to finally hear some new stuff.supposed to have new album out in late fall.being a total disciple of this band,thats big news!
Many people demand artistic perfection from the artist's who have served our desire for great enjoyment of musical talent in the past and many expect bands like APC, Tool, NIN, and many other artist's to remain common in their expressions, much music is experienced through social propaganda and is criticized by the amount of pubic notoriety it attains not professionalism or originality, people want to hear Tool but only if it retains the previous formats which defines our appreciation for such art, Bands like Tool and artists like Maynard need diversity in their expressions otherwise they are simply conforming to society's expectations and not to personal creative ability or potential.
I'd much rather have a new APC album than my preferred football team to win it all (they haven't yet). These guys rock, I just wish they put out more music faster. Totally played a role in who I am today and I always come back to their music.
Yeah I heard somewhere that the album won't be released anytime within the next two years like how the fuck, we are going to the moon next year and Maynard can't drop a single album from any of his bands, I'm not hating on him, I'm just dissapointed, especially because he's had all this time to release a new album from Tool and A Perfect Circle, Over ten years for each band, they need to release this album soon.
I went to the concert here in Albuquerque last night (10/25) and Maynard said that a new album will be coming out next year, so have faith everyone, it's coming...
I'm so excited... sounds great, I wonder what when we get release date and album name... and apparently Tool is too although mjk is being cryptic... I will say I don't mind how long they take to make the music they make(tool and apc)... its 2 out of a list of like 10 bands that I can listen to over and over and over no matter whatever... I tend to switch it up every couple months or even just switch between different albums to keep it fresh but all in all I don't really mind the big wait times between albums.... I know that if they didn't take their time it wouldn't be the same music, that I love deeply.... I know that when they do get released, both albums will end up in my core collection that gets worn out till the end of time... :)
Maynard said it may be another 10,000 days before the album is done the other band members are what's taking so long , perfecting & changing the songs around continually. it's the timing of it's release that they are so critical about.
I do not think APR will ever out do "Gravity" for me. I can sooooooo relate to that song and entire album actually. For me that is the pinnacle of lyrics/music. It still moves my soul and if I were crazy would think it was written for me.
Well so far, this has been the best new track on the album. I feel like this album might take a few listens to appreciate. The other released tracks haven't wowed me.
