Isaac is not immune to the marker. Lexine Murdoch is though, as she never hallucinates or becomes suicidal/homicidal. The phrase "Make us whole" is the Brother moon from Dead Space 3 crying out for help because the convergence that was creating it was halted. This was also a plot point and Isaac himself explains after having an episode.
The Tau Volantian moon is in a state of extreme anger, and as a result has spread its influence throughout the markers, hence why you hear "Make us whole" in every game.
@@Chonkemswe also hear the "make us whole" in reference to moving marker 3a to the pedistal. And for the second game where they wanted to start another convergence event
Nobody is immune to the Marker. It's only that everyone is affected by them differently. (It's a memetic virus.)
@@RotneybotOfficial It's not memetic, it's an insane number of spores being released that causes the effects. There are other, unexplained vectors of attack the Marker itself uses, but the Necromorphs just spread spores.

There is actually, a huge difference between red and black markers. Black markers do not exhibit the dementia and tissue/dna recombination that red markers do. Its speculated black markers evolve life to the point of finding and replicating markers -> red ones -> to then start convergence.
so black markers are more or less 2001 monoliths, lol

I can understand why they'd say it wasn't a jab at Church Of Scientology, but once you read all the hidden messages on the walls, it's too on the nose, to not be.
i think they’re just backtracking, probably wanting to avoid conflict now more than back in 2008
It’s probably because the church of Scientology is notorious for going after people who publicly make fun of, mock or speak badly about the church. The developers likely just want to avoid any potential fight with the church even though it’s pretty obviously a reference to Scientology. If they didn’t have Scientology at least a little in mind when making Unitology, then it would be one of the biggest coincidences ever.
I mean all cults are kinda samey though arent they? Other than the origin story and whatever else its always about control and fanaticism. Scientology is just an example where they barely try to hide it because they apparently have enough money to be above the law.
While the director said it wasn't there has been notes from the other devs that "yeah it's totally a jab at scientology". So it was probably to avoid any sort of public backlash.

missed the hint that the developer made about something worse than the moon being out there.
Even if the games had performed poorly as far as sales .. they definitely should’ve let John Carpenter make a film about it.. because I feel like at the very least there’s so much to the lore and mythos of the DS universe that it would definitely succeed as a film .. especially if it was made by Mr Carpenter.. fingers crossed 🤞
Carpenter said he was interested recently, I think in 2021 at the earliest? He did tweet out that he loved the Dead Space Remake too!

They actually mention cutting off the limbs 4 times. There’s an audio log where I guy tells everyone how to kill them. Even mentions to use the engineering plasma cutters to do it
Yeah, you're right. I forgot about the audio log until I played the remake. I don't know how I could forget it just happened
They did lean into the scientologie thing after the first game, the Unitology temple in Dead Space 2 is very similar to scientologie, with all the test and initiations levels.
I love how System Shock 3 became Bioshock and Dead Space
There is also a Brown Maker. It's the one Tidman builds with Issac's blueprints in dead space 2
3:58 you also forgot, there's an audio log at the left of the same hallway Hammond calls you on the way to get the Kinesis upgrade that repeats the whole "cut the limbs off". 4 times in less than a minute.

You missed Isaac in Army of Two. Even though I dislike the third game(The Devil's Cartel), Isaac and Carter's helmets are available as masks in the game, which sort of improved my experience.

Actually the red marker is not as powerful as the black marker the red one takes time for the effects to take place the black one is instant transformation

The YOUR MOM HATES THIS campaign got me. I bought the game and chickened out in the first 20 mins. My friend beat the first game tho so i brought it to his house like "MERRY BIRTHDAY!(sorry, i opened it!)"

There's a few made in Spanish, the only other one that's in English is made by "Tbishy" and is made based on the original iceberg I found on Reddit!

Ngl, this is the first dead space gameplay I've seen that didn't look terrible. It's the only game I get mad about sloppy gameplay bc it's so easy to be good at

In tier 9 you missed Army of Two The Devils Cartel. You can get masks from Dead Space 3 for Alpha and Bravo though I forget how.
You're absolutely right I did miss it. I've never played Army of Two so that fact escaped me, as well as not being in the original Iceberg image. My bad!
The remake is seriously incredible 😍 it's just like a highly polished version of the original but with a lot added. And it looks beautiful on my Series X.
I'm currently on chapter 4. They've really stayed loyal to the feel of the original, though, which still holds up today. What do you think of the remake?

Isaac is NOT immune to the marker's influence, however he develops a significant amount of resistance to its effects throughout the games
I doubt anyone can ever get "resistance" due to the way it works. Remember Kendra, she knew exactly what the hallucinations were when she saw them, and she just pretended they weren't there, thus she retained her sanity. Isaac is most likely the same way in DS3.

I really believe that the Dead Space creators didn't mean to mock Scientology, but Scientology is just that fucking ridiculous that everybody pointed the similarities out and assumed it was intentional. Nah, Scientology is just a real horror religion.
