This is best painting education anybody could hope for, already these videos have been a huge inspiration....always quality work and quality words! Thanks Nicolas and Dani!
I am now looking at what I thought were "so-so" photos on my cell phone (cheap, and really doesn't take camera quality pics at all), and seeing very interesting possibilities! I mean, something about the subjects "grabbed me" for some reason, and I will explore that, and maybe push things a bit... Thank you, I'm excited to try this "exercise"!
I find it the hardest to add my spin on the reference image and lose the " likeness", it's been a wall I'm trying to break for quite sometime now. Your talk about this subject today couldn't come more timely. very grateful!
I'm so excited to see this weeks paintings !! Also, I love the format of these videos and just listening to your thought process the whole time. It's so interesting to hear artists talk through their painting process and what they were thinking when making decisions and what not

Loved your sharing the references to artists you admire, such as Michael Taylor.
I look forward to these videos every morning! Thank you!!
Brilliant, brilliant teacher, I wish I had youtube and access to minds like yours when I was younger, I was put off art by school :/

Me gusta la distorsión porque me gusta lo chueco... y ya.
Do you varnish your paintings? I feel like you wouldn't, especially because these daily paintings are so small and are immediately put up for sale
You are so strong...
WEEK 4 Alright!!!!
