maskedbandit you guys should make a backstory where the zoo started out as a zoo but then boils a roller coaster for the employees and other people and then they found out they could make money off of them and started a theme park, kinda like hershy park. Stated making candy but made an amusement park.
Never heard of Uzuri Gardens. Sounds rubbish. But THIS is AWESOME! Don't apologise for taking time, I'd wait another month for this quality. Now, BRB... just gonna buy a new computer so I can actually open the file again ;)
Never heard of it either. Sounds like 'garbage'. This IS more awesome than poutine from Quebec....but not better than sucre à la crème....sorry Silv, dessert always trumps games for me.
Holy crabsticks. This is exactly the sort of thing "you didn't know you needed it until you had it" sorta thing. Those support make a world of difference in the aesthetic of the coaster, and it's all for the better. 10/10
Wooden coaster custom supports are still too intimidating for me, right now I still have panic attacks at the prospect of rebuilding 1 steel coaster support that was removed by a path, major kudos with this! And also obligatory yay more PlanCo videos!
I work in the industry. The extra planks in between the tracks are to allow for easier access to the mechanics on the trains in case of a valley or stall.
I rode Troy at Toverland again this month for the first time since 2008 or so and I was afraid that it wouldn't have aged well but oh man was I wrong... it's still as incredible as back then. GCI really knows how to keep the whole layout exciting. From the moment you crest the lifthill until the brake run, you just don't get any rest.
The planks in the middle of the track from what I understand is so the maintainence workers can have something to step on when they walk from one side of the track to the other. On old woodies you didn’t need that because the banking is gentler and can walk on one catwalk all the way around the ride, but on a coaster with steep banking you have to cross back and forth to be able to walk along the whole ride
Jeffrey - yeah I rode vortex yesterday actually and if you really wanted you could make it from the lift hill and basically all the way through the loops and come off at the break run just by walking on little catwalks between the rails
The two planks down the middle of the track on a newer GCI is for walking along during the daily morning inspections. If you look at some of the older GCIs like Thunderhead or Lightning Racer, you will see that there are wooden planks filling in the middle of the track every time it turns and changes directions. These track planks help the ride inspectors get safely to the other side of the track where the walkway will not be blocked off by the track covering it. These are basically just safety features for the people who walk the track every morning.
My favorite is mystic Timbers even though it’s more of an out an back than a twister. It’s just so cool riding a heartlined woodie, compared to the traditional banking of most old wooden coasters
hii Silvarret you're a big inspiration of mine. and i love watching your and other planco youtubers. thanks to you i started a channel where i make real-life coasters in planco . but I am still pretty young
Love me some GCIs. Renegade at Valleyfair in Minnesota is my favorite coaster I've ridden, but I haven't ridden a ton of coasters. But I think it tops Goliath (the RMC at Six Flags Great America) for sure.
Looks incredible! Makes me think back to my Wicker Man days. I though the planks in the middle of the track was that the maintenance/construction workers can't fall in the holes in the middle of the track. Not 100% sure though.
Read from many comments here that it's partly that, and perhaps also to strengthen the track a bit more. I do wonder how useful they'd be as catwalks - all GCI's already have double catwalks alongside almost their entire layout, and extra planks between all the curves.
Oh right, as always I forgot to check the other comments before posting mine :D But about the planks, I don't think they are meant for a catwalk, but more as an extra safetly if workers cross the rails.
Never been on a GCI but I've been on Boulder Dash which is a CCI which was the precursor to GCI and Gravity Group so close enough. It's also one of my favorite wooden coasters I've ever been on
I feel very stupid. I didn't figure out you were dutch until you talked about Joris en de Draak, wich is my favorite wooden coaster, as I'm dutch myself too! Also, great job man. It all looks amazing!
Yes the Supports daypum! Welcome to the dark side. I have to add that the steel Supports are absolutely great i remember the cool Model on iaapa and you totally nailed it
"They're rough but in a fun way" Except for Thunderhead. It doesn't need reprofiling, but it could definitely benefit from some fresh wood under the wheels.
if you ever wanna make a video about custom supporting GCIs, id still have one sitting around waiting to be supported ^^. aside from that i really love the steel supported lifthill, i could guess thats something we could see in reality in near future (being shown on several GCI concepts)
Awesome video, even as a coaster enthusiast I tend to walk away from episodes learning something new. But you're right, a few of the GCI's I've been tend to be on the rough but not backbreaking side; except for Gwazi towards the end of its run. That hurt :(
Here is my checklist of an ideal zoo game: -animal zoning (explained above) -a terrain editor -an artificial rock editor (like a terrain editor but on a smaller level) -planet coaster scenery flexibility -the ability to connect ropes to various objects to make climbing structures for primates -multuple artificial tree prefabs (or possible an editor where u can make your own)images.app.goo.gl/vvNRQ18H3AEEATSo7 -a large assortment of common and not so well know animals -and the ability to string up custom aviary nets like in the image:images.app.goo.gl/CDG7PiGT93G8mNPo6 -finally, tons of trees and plants from all biomes
Waw awesome work man, you must have some steel patient for building this. But hrmmm i also see you create this with much love, could you build mine GCI supports with much love too?
Hello friend how can I download this in the free full version? Could you help me? Already tried in several places more just think in the simple version, wanted one equal your
Beautiful!! I am too poor for Planet Coaster and a good working pc, And i’m still playing RCT2 a lot, Is it posible to build a GCI coaster in RCT2? Due to limited pieces in the game it’s kinda hard I think.
It's difficult, but definitely one of the more doable realistic coasters in the game IMO. The transitions of GCI translate decently well to the piece-by-piece builder of RCT.
Good question! That's the archer, widely known as the most realistically scaled item in Planet Coaster, I was using him to check how tall the clearing above the paths when the coaster went over them needed to be.
Ooohhhh i love this TP sooo mutch great to see u in iT 2 and like coaster entusiast idk hoe to spel that like gci a lot but GP just think there kid coasters . You can see that whit Joris en de draak every GP thinks its a kid coaster but iT is the best coaster of the Efteling one time Some Guy in the que of Joris en de draak Said that you dont need a lapp bar cus iT is a kid coaster i was holding my laufgh so hard and this i a long random comment from a dutch Guy ho cant spel ....
Silvarret i think you gotta need Some brave kids to go on the new rmc from Walibi thats comming haha Iam super hypet for that trog is an amazing coaster toe
Damn, crazy man you are! There is one thing you didn't mention, but NEEDS to be incorporated in some sort in the support structure! GCI (usually) puts some planks in a decorative way on one specific place on the coaster, and I think it would be nice if you did that as well (maybe you already did that, but we'll see than!) www.thecoasterkings.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/12/DSCN1541-768x576.jpg This is also featured on El Toro in Plohn and some other coaster over in the USA!
Woah, how did you find out about this? I never realized this before, but it definitely does look decorative (surely no ladder actually looks like that). I'll see what I can do.
@@Silvarret These are some weird details that catch my eye! And if you look for them, they're everywhere! Thunderhead at Dollywood has it as well: rcdb.com/2451.htm#p=9230
You're a madman! I can't believe you went and custom supported the damn thing. It's looking great though! Thanks so much, Silv, you're awesome.

I work in the industry. The extra planks in between the tracks are to allow for easier access to the mechanics on the trains in case of a valley or stall.
We all appreciate you sacrificing your sanity for this!
Not to mention that Toverland maintains Troy really well, with regular retracks. Not every GCI retains its smoothness as well as Troy does.
I was thinking the same thing. Arrow used to do that with their coasters as well (even in inversions)
Jeffrey - yeah I rode vortex yesterday actually and if you really wanted you could make it from the lift hill and basically all the way through the loops and come off at the break run just by walking on little catwalks between the rails
Troy in Toverland is the roughest and loudest wooden coaster I've ever been on
The two planks down the middle of the track on a newer GCI is for walking along during the daily morning inspections. so gci works almost exactly like I do in NoLimits 2 :D
My favorite is mystic Timbers even though it’s more of an out an back than a twister. It’s just so cool riding a heartlined woodie, compared to the traditional banking of most old wooden coasters
Is mystic timbers a GCI, or is it RMC? I thought it was RMC, but I may be wrong
James Michael it’s 100% wood gci. Are you confusing it with twisted timbers?
Silvarret, the planks of wood going down the center of GCI’s track help keep the track inline and help keep the ride smooth.
hii Silvarret you're a big inspiration of mine. and i love watching your and other planco youtubers. thanks to you i started a channel where i make real-life coasters in planco . but I am still pretty young
I’ve only been on a few gci’s but my favorite is lightning racer at Hershey Park. It’s definitely one of the best GCI’s built.
This looks really cool. It looks so much like a real one I'm really excited to see the finished layout, as I really loved troy and joris an 're draak.
Love me some GCIs. Renegade at Valleyfair in Minnesota is my favorite coaster I've ridden, but I haven't ridden a ton of coasters. But I think it tops Goliath (the RMC at Six Flags Great America) for sure.
i do believe the two planks in the middle are just there for maintenance, makes it easier to inspect the track i guess
you feel like a blast to go to a theme park with
Well this was worth the wait! Stunning work, this must have been maddening to make but the result is superb
This looks amazing. Can't wait for part 2! Excellent work

It's definitely known as one of the best woodies ever, that thing hauls ass! Would love to ride it one day.
Those steel supports look surprisingly good. I was pretty sceptical when I first saw that IAAPA model.
I feel very stupid. I didn't figure out you were dutch until you talked about Joris en de Draak, wich is my favorite wooden coaster, as I'm dutch myself too! Also, great job man. It all looks amazing!
it's my favorite too
i would not be able to finish custom supporting a coaster ever lol but in a case like this its SO worth it great job
Can't wait to see this RMC'ed in like 100 episodes lol.

Damn silvarret, thats a whole damn lot of beans hear ;). Great work and layout. Looks really nice!
I’d watch an hour of this.
WAUW! You managed to custom support it! I tried custom supporting my own GCI creating but I gave up because it was just too repetitive :(
I've only been on apocalypse at mm. I hope it's better with a retrack it's getting when west coast racers opens
Talking about GCI coaster. They now have on in belgium in plopsaland de panne.

He remembered to press record this time
The planks on the rails aren't meant to maintenance? Makes it easier for workers to walk around the track

I prefer Joris to Wodan. Great build Silv
Thunderhead has a drop that feels and looks really steep when you ride it

Is using another coaster the only way to cut up supports like that? I know you can turn them off, but to make them stop at a certain point?
My favorite coaster is mystic timbers at kings island and it's a gci
Absolutely phenomenal work, but that doesnt surprise me coming from syou Silv!
Gold striker is at California’s Great America in Silicon Valley
ABOUT TIME!!!!!!! Love the content!
The best GCI that I have ridden is wickerman
There are GCI with supports like this on the lift???
What is your computer setup ? My planet coaster doesn’t run as smooth as yours and I get about 30fps.
I thought the planks in the middle so people can walk through it in construction. I heard someone say that before but i don’t know if it’s true

how do you get the track to go through the ground without tunneling?
You have to select the terrain tab and lower down the ground!
You put CGI in the title not GCI. Just thought I'd let you know so you can fix it 😀
Thanks for catching that typo! Even as a weathered coaster enthusiast, I can't seem to avoid that one :D
Dinn Corporation used similar supports, but instead of feeling a smooth GCI ride, you'd wish you'd never been born.
