Hallo Oliver, my opinion is that actually Fp30x is the KING of the digital pianos but not only in its range of price/features, but vs.higher price and level ones ( Kawai es620, Yamaha p525 for example)!! Roland fp30x has great features as great quality samples in acoustic pianos and powerful internal highspeakers, fantastic mechanical in keyboard with escapement, triple sensor for each key, that make it unbeatable. At the moment, at least!!!!💪💪💪💪👍👍🔊🔊🔊

I have the FP10, it's a great piano for my playing capabilities. I nearly went for the FP30X but couldn't justify the extra cost. You can trust Roland to make a good product whichever model you choose.

As far as I know, the FP-10 and the FP-30X both have the same keyboard actionand the same sound engine. The FP-30X has some refinements over the FP-10 of interest to working musicians and advanced players. I got the FP-30X earlier this year. As of right now, it's the latest and greatest for acoustic piano emulation at the entry level price point. The Yamaha P-125 and P-225 are the major competitors to Roland. Each instrument has its purposes.

I've been playing on a very old second hand Yamaha keyboard. No weighted keys, speakers aren't great, the sound of the piano just isn't really convincing at all. nevertheless I've been practicing on it for years now, I'm hoping to buy the FP-30X sometime by the end of this year, I can't wait to feel and hear all the things I've learned on something more appropriate

Has anyone tried the fp60x? Do u guys think it's better over the fp30x? Thank u everyone!

Yes I have the FP60X. Not sure there is much difference in sound between the 30X and 60X, but the user control interface of the 60X is vastly superior to the 30X (sliders, display, registrations etc). Love the piano sounds of the 60X (the ambient settings are nice as is the editor in the app or in the instrument to tweak the pianos). The Supernatural pianos have a nice richness to them (Steinway) which I think is mainly down to the stretch tuning used on the Rolands (it creates a fuller sound). Built-in speakers on the 60X are surprisingly good - I also have the FP10 which is also pretty impressive for the price but speakers aren't great. Both have line outs, it sounds nice through the hifi set up.

My biggest complaint--lack of an actual volume know. Why a button?? Horrible.
