I have an insanity in plasma plastic and it’s more overstable than I was expecting. I can get some turn out of all my other 9 speed discs. I figured it would have been more like a slower version of my champion beast, but it’s definitely not. My insanity is more like a 9-5-0-2.
Plasma is known to be a more overstable plastic. For that true 9 5 -2 1 flight path, I would highly recommend the fission plastic for the insanity. And it's my favorite overall plastic for any axiom/mvp disc.
I found one of these in the woods and it was a great disc. Ended up donating it back to the woods a couple months later and haven't found another in stores.
I found a 150 gram fission insanity and it's my top 9 speed driver in my bag. It Flys exceptionally far with elevation and / or tailwind. It's slightly understandable with a tick of fade at the end. Very reliable disc.
I used to always think that it was more overstable but in some recent discs we tested it seems to be the opposite. I think generally you can assume that Neutron, Cosmic Neutron, Proton and Plasma are PRETTY close, the dome/flatness of the disc seems to be more important for those molds. Fission starts just as stable, if not more so, but beats in faster.
No. A Valkyrie is a -2 turn and 2 fade. An insanity is 1.5 fade. If you throw enough you'll see the difference. Plastics make a shit too. On how it's coming out ofnyour hand. And how stable etc.. it's going to be. Never understand when people say that new discs are the same as others or that they have no consistency. If you're not getting consistent throws with two discs that are the same mold and plastic it's you're form that's not consistent. Not bashing because that's a thing that most people suffer with. But as the owner of a crap ton of discs, I can tell you all this fine detail stuff really does matter. I have to anny the heck out of the dx boss. But I can lay my pro boss out flat. They end up in the same spot but the plastics give them a different looking s curve. One is more rigid and one is more flexy. Can't just say "oh this is the same as that other one because the turn number is the same" if it's lighter than another 9 speed disc it will fly differently than other 9 speeds you bag. Same as if it's heavier than the 9 speeds you bag. What I'm saying is. I have like 6 different 9 speed discs and they are all very much so different. Plus you gotta think about the heavy higher speed mid ranges. I have a few 9 speeds mid ranges. And they won't go as far as a driver of the same speed because if the rim shape. So just don't shit on something because you haven't thrown enough maybe.
I bag an eclipse glow and it’s really nice. It’s definitely on the overstable side for my arm speed, but it will fly sooo long and straight before it fades. Super stable and reliable, I don’t have to guess how it might fly when I throw it. Feels great in the hand as well. Love that disc 😎
Yea it's definitely a more overstable plastic. If you're going for a more stable / understable plastic, I highly recommend fission or neutron. But I personally prefer fission more.
How It's Made vibes intensify with each video I watch on this channel. Thanks for the review!
Wow very solid and thoughtful review format! Subscribed! Next review? PP Passion!
B roll so pretty! I dig the editing too - follow flights and all. Cool vid!

The Insanity is amazing when playing at elevation! I bag the fireball, TSA votum, insanity, and virus as my fast fairways and have every shot covered.
Love my SE Virus, came here because I want a cosmic neutron insanity lol
Have an insanity in the mail excited to try it.
Great overview!
I'd love to see some content on Clash Discs sometime if they're on your radar. Maybe the Popcorn or Berry?
So is the cosmic neutron less or more stable than the neutron/plasma/proton?

Let’s get a review of the Axiom Paradox!

@@SixSidedDiscs Nice! I guess I didn’t scroll back far enough! How about an Avenger SS or Mutant? I like unique and interesting discs
I have 2 Protons, and an Eclipse in the bag!

All of MVP/Axiom glow discs come out a little more overstable than the regular plastics in the mold. My glow Insanity flies a lot like a heavy Tesla.

You're not wearing that sweater it's wearing you.
